A nice area to see a movie, sit at cafe or go shopping. Bike parking underground in a brand new garage!! The Apple store is the flagship here. Marriott is nearby too.

Nice square with a lot of restaurants and bars. Has more to do than dam square in my opinion, and not as crowded. The square was built In 1660, and its name was taken from the gate which stood there until 1862 and was the gate from which people arrived from thet city of Leiden. Interestingly, The original reason for the construction of the square was to be a parking place for the carriages of those who arrived to the city

Leidseplein is a meeting place in Amsterdam. With a large number of cafes and restaurants, there are many options for a great evening. In summer, bar terraces surround the square, where you can drink delicious beer. An invariable attribute are street artists, there are plenty of them here. This is the end of a street that has been the main street of the city for most of its history. Near the city theater of Amsterdam, a very nice building. Convenient location relative to tram stops, from here you can get to any corner of the city.

a nice place with lots of bars and eateries. it can get a bit crowded sometimes with tourists, but Rembrandtplein is even worse in that regard, and grimier too.

Exhibition Tank: "On March 31st, 2022 this tank was destroyed by Ukrainian soldiers during the Battle of Kyiv in the village of Dmytrivka, near Bucha. In this region, as in many other places in Ukraine, innocent civilians were massacred in acts that have been classified as war crimes by Amnesty International, and are currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court. The tank, weighing 44 tons, was used by a Russian unit from Ulan-Ude, a city close to the border of Mongolia, 6.300 kilometres from Kyiv."

It's a great place to go. Has everything you're looking for. Restaurants, cafes, fast food places and a great variety of stores. Walk around with time to discover hidden gems. Easy to go from anywhere in the city. Trams take you there fast and comfortable. Always crowded, but you can find a place for you.

(Translated by Google) The so-called Korenmetersgilde had offices in the Korenmetershuis for centuries. The guild contributed to the fair trade in grain, a product from which Amsterdam used to derive much of its wealth. The grain meters had the important task of checking the volumes of the grain merchants. These measures of volume were called the "barrels" and were leveled with a bow (according to the Dutch proverb, some choruses could get stuck on that). If the grain measures were correct, they were calibrated by the grain meters with a brand mark. The Korenmetershuis was built in 1620 possibly by someone from the school of the famous Amsterdam master builder Hendrick de Keyser. The building was restored in 1886. The property is completely free on the Nieuwezijds Kolk, once a watercourse from the Amstel to the lower meadows around the city. For a number of years there has also been a miniature version of the Korenmetershuis in Madurodam. The Korenmetershuis is now in use by a number of national organizations in the field of historic preservation, including the Institute for Heritage and Marketing (IVEM) and the Heemschut association.

Could be busy because this is a touristy spot. There is the famous coffee shop (bulldog) and lots of restaurants around. Easily accessed by tram and you can walk from either Amsterdam Central Station or from the metro stations Rokin or Vijzelgracht.

Leidse plein. Always nice! Especially when Ajax wins one of the cups or with Kingsday. Back in the days on Queensday. Now we have the Apple Store their. But the real magix disappeared. A pitty, but isn't that always when you are getting old... Don't forget the Melkweg though.. Behind the Leidse!!

Great place to visit in the centre of Amsterdam offering a wide range of bars, clubs and restaurants. Ideal for jazz lovers, live rock, disco etc. Food from high end Asian to burgers. Famous Paradiso and Melkweg for concerts and parties. Near Vondelpark for a nice walk or picknick. Recommended for both locals and tourists

Right in the middle of Amsterdam you can find the “Leidse Square”. The Vondelpark is literally a stone's throw away. On the Leidseplein you can find many, restaurants, clubs, bars, and theaters. A great place to spend some quality time!

Lots of view points and eateries close by. Vondelpark, Holland casino and Rijksmeuseum are walking distance from this place. You are well connected to Dam square via trams. So many cafes and souvenir shops around
