A wonderful interactive museum, for kids in various ages. There's a lot to see and experience, play and learn. Totally worth a day visit, though you're probably going to not be able to see and experience all of what the place has to offer. The museum also offer a very comfortable free lockers zone, with lockers also suitable for strollers. Visiting the place felt as if they took into consideration everything about visitors convenience. A MUST SEE place If you're around with kids.

The whole experience was great. Quick entry and we spent nearly 6 hours there and could still needed more time to go through every exhibit. Enjoyed the interactive exhibits and the fact that our grandchildren could take part in everything. Eating our own prepacked lunch on the roof was lovely because we didn't have to be concerned for an allergic child's dietary needs. The children loved "swimming" in the water feature on the roof as a way to cool off. We were thankful for the advice to take a change of clothes! The staff were incredibly helpful and the venue was clean and neat. At times I think the adults had more fun than the children. This outing is highly recommended for young , parents and even grandparents.

The NEMO science museum is extremely child friendly. It entertained my 6 year old daughter for a few hours. It is also quite huge so visiting all the sections took a while. There are many hands-on activities so my daughter had fun doing all that. Her favourite part was saving the world from asteroids. Another of her favourite parts was playing with the bubbles and watching the chain reaction show.

Huge experiment and learning center close to the central station. It’s designed in the shape of a ship while the inside has about 3 floors with different sections. It has some fun experiment for kids and adults equally. Kids were having fun time while there are also some very useful info on display. It also houses a souvenir shop where there are some interesting items for sale.

Lots of activities and learning and a good place to bring your children for an afternoon of fun. From my observations to make the most of your ticket it's best for children between 6 & 12. There is plenty of places to get food including the lovely rooftop terrace. As with any other high traffic attraction bring your bag of patience.

The best kid’s museum ever. So much fun and so much to learn and explore for all ages. We’ve been there already many times, yet still finding some new fun things to experiment each time. Even the gift shop there has so many unique toys to offer. Highly recommend, always book in advance.

If you visit Amsterdam with your kids, you should not miss visiting the Nemo Science Museum. The museum is a large, five-floor building, beautifully designed in a very beautiful area of Amsterdam. The museum is located in an area considered commercial and great for walking and picnicking. Visiting the museum in the morning will enrich your children's experience, as the museum contains on each of its floors a different experience, from human sciences to mechanical sciences to energy and space. All experiences are available to children by touching, listening, and watching, where children and adults can also enjoy an unforgettable experience. The museum also contains live experiences in its center. When you visit the museum, please try to ask about the date of the live events to watch them with your children. We had a wonderful experience by watching a live show on how to generate energy. It was wonderful, suitable for all ages, and amazing for the little ones. Just so you know, if you are going to visit the museum, please try to coordinate the visit through the hotel to make sure that the visit is available. It is also preferable to reach the museum by public transport or by walking because access by car is very difficult and there are no nearby parking spaces, in addition to the difficulty of the nearby roads and transportation to the museum by car. Many thanks to the museum team for an enjoyable visit. I wish you a nice visit.

It's a kid friendly museum. It's very entertaining for kids and adults too if you're interested in science. The rooftop is a must-see. Great for relaxing after hours of playing around . You can grab coffee, and snacks. The view is awesome.

Awesome museum for all. We came during holiday so it was packed. My kids had a blast and so did us adults. It was a bit cold to be sitting outside on the top terrace area but the view from up top was beautiful. Highly recommend this museum.

What an extraordinarily spectacular museum! Kids of all ages (and adults too!) will have a great time exploring the 5 floors of interactive exhibits. Everything is very well organised and well researched and executed. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, and an extra star for the hospitality at the reception. It's a MUST visit when you are in Amsterdam whether or not you like visiting museums. There's so much to learn here! PS: don't miss Ai Wei Wei's exhibit on the ground floor near the reception

We visited the Nemo Science Museum in Amsterdam with our young family and had a great time. The museum is very interactive and engaging, with lots of hands-on exhibits and experiments to explore. Our kids loved the different play area, the giant bubbles, the chain reactions, and the science lab. There was something for everyone, from toddlers to teens. The museum was quite busy, especially on a rainy day, but we didn't have to wait too long for most of the activities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The only downside was that some of the exhibits could use more explanatory information, preferably not via text, as it was hard to read and understand for younger children and non-native speakers. We would have liked to see more videos, audio guides, or demonstrations to explain the science behind the fun. Parking was close by, about 500m walk from the museum, but pricey. We spent about 4 hours at the museum. We recommend the Nemo Science Museum for anyone looking for a fun and educational day out in Amsterdam. It's a 4-star attraction for sure!

The architecture is amazing. And I loved all the modern and well-thought-out exhibitions. The rooftop terrace is a must! More for kids younger than 12, but well worth the visit. if you have time.

Really good experience especially for kids to learn about science, principles and mechanisms. For adults it will be a ride back to the basics. Spanned over 5 floors it is a very good place to spend time creatively and gain knowledge. The demonstration of chain reaction at our time of visiting was very good and explained beautifully by the presenter. The staffs were welcoming and guide you if you are visiting first time. The roof top restaurant and outdoor space is one of the key attraction of this place. A whole city can be viewed from this point. There are good amount of seating to accommodate large group of people. We can learn the description of the buildings in view from the description located in the side. Overall it is a good and lively location to visit in Amsterdam.

It's such a pleasure to have a place to take kids not just to be entertained but also, not even so sneakily, educated! The exhibitions are mostly interactive. Sometimes it's a bit much for little toddlers but it's still lots of fun for them to run around. It can be a bit much on the amount of input but all round I'd say it's a great place for all kids to go. I'm thinking of going sans minors to explore and experience it all as well.don't forget to go all the way to the top to see the special rooftop deck with amazing views of Amsterdam.

The largest science museum in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 This place is good for those who love science, take some time to see and explore science and the history of science. It is located close to Amsterdam central station. The ticket price for adults is about 16€ per person for a full day.

This museum is perfect for visiting with kids and you just can go to the restaurant to have some rest with coffee ☺️ So many interesting things here! Kids are happy to learn new and have fun. And of course it's very noisy here. Recommend!

It is a cool museum, but it is definitely geared towards children 14 and under. I went as an adult because as an engineer I love science, but as an adult you can skip it... though the view from the rooftop terrace was awesome.

This is a huge museum filled with interactive science stations, games, everything you can think of. It's suitable for both adults and kids, BUT since it's super kids friendly, the place is totally overcrowded. There's an awsome roof terrace overlooking the whole harbour and the city, perfect for panoramic shots.

Very nice place!! Specially for kids older than 7 years or so. Loved the Lab place a lot. Lot of interesting science aspects which you are ALLOWED to touch and tinker with !!! Transportation is very nice. Car parking is available nearby across the bridge!! Can easily take the whole day. For people interested to do more can easily roam around nearby places. Sea Palace restaurant is like 8 mins walk.. A very nice and fun day out with family!!!

I love science museum. I've been to quite a few. I loved NEMO it is very dynamic and hands on... I will not give 5 starts just because I thought that this museum was more focused on kids than a general public. However, if you have kids it is the best place to take them in Amsterdam.

A great place for families/children, and not too bad for adults. Whilst there isn't paragraphs of information and displays like you might expect in a normal museum, there are plenty of activities to play around with. Even with Corona having some of them be closed, there was still plenty to do.

NEMO is a fantastic destination, especially for families with kids. It's a hands-on wonderland where touching everything is not just allowed, but encouraged! The museum offers a wide range of experiments and simple ways to explain even the most complex scientific concepts. From live shows to exhibits on natural sciences, electricity, robots, motion, or water, it covers it all. Whether your children are young or older, this place is a must to visit. Highly recommended!

Exploring the NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam with my daughter was an absolute delight! Each exhibit sparked her curiosity and left her in awe. From the interactive 'Wonderlab' to the hands-on 'Creative Lab,' every attraction was a hit. We especially loved the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed stunning views of Amsterdam while engaging with the water exhibits. NEMO isn't just a museum; it's a playground for young minds! Our visit was filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments. As an adult, I was equally enthralled by the experience and would gladly return to explore every detail. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and educational experience in Amsterdam!

Man was this place fun for people if all ages! Multiple levels, each one themed for the human body, space, mechanics/engineering, etc. Tons of engaging activities that will teach you something new or validate your primary schooling education. I used my Museumkaart to get in so unsure of the price of admission, but a lot of fun! At the top floor, there's all sorts of engaging activities to keep kids busy and a cafe to eat with a view of Amsterdam and the water!

Lots to do. Lots to see. Live science demos are cool. The roof top features a few free things to check out and a great view of Amsterdam. You could spend the day here, but you don't have to! The admission allows re-entry. Go get lunch and come back later. It can be a bit busy as many families pack the place. Galleries and hands-on activities have explanations in Dutch and English.

So many experiences for the kids under one roof. It's a full day's outing. The one major difference between this and and science museum in London is the experience is truly user led. You wander from zone to zone, carry out the activities yourself guided by simple and clear written instructions. Even in the lab, you don a lab coat and go straight into a variety of experiments, with someone on hand to help if you need. I laughed out loud when we got to the bubble zone at Nemo. Twice at the London science museum the bubble experience has ended in tears as the coordinator picks a handful out of a room full of kids to experience being in a bubble. Here there's no co-ordinator, there are a dozen stations in the bubble zone to actually play with yourself including getting into the bubble. You do it yourself! loved it. After wandering indoors for hours we were pleasantly surprised to find a roof terrace outside the restaurant with lovely river views. This visit was Feb 2020 just before the pandemic hit.

(Translated by Google) Great museum. Enough to do with clear explanations and history. Interesting! The website states that you can only stay for 3 hours and although that is so neat to give space for other people, it is not taken into account. So if you pay full price or have to travel a long way, it is best to stay longer. There is plenty to see and do. The website also says that you are not allowed to consume your own food and drinks and that is also not true, fortunately. Plenty of places to have a quiet meal. Pleasant lockers where you can store your belongings for free (deposit). (Original) Geweldig museum.

(Translated by Google) The kids liked it. Only the presentation with the tests was very bad. The lady was very hard to understand and it was impossible for the children to follow. Furthermore, we enjoyed everything there was to do. (Original) De kinderen vonden het leuk. Alleen de voorstelling met de proefjes was erg slecht. De mevrouw was erg slecht te verstaan en het was niet te volgen voor de kinderen. Verder hebbe we genoten van alles wat er te doen was.

Best kids museum in Amsterdam. If your kids into science it gets even better with all experiments and live shows. In a rainy Amsterdam I cannot find a better place to spend your day. Also there is a nice restaurant on the top floor.

The NEMO Science Museum was very interesting. There were many floors with different themes. It was fun for adults, but I think that children appreciate it even more!

The museum is mainly for kids. It has many games to make children familiar with science in an entertaining way. But it may be worth visit if you're an adult and you enjoy science, or at least you can go directly to the restaurant in the 5th floor and enjoy the landscape.

Although it's kids oriented there are still many things to explore as far science and natural processes. Well organized and entertaining. Will be definitely interesting. The entry ticket is 17.5 euros. And also there are lots of kids, so it's quite noisy

Very well organized and maintained museum. It's good for 6years and above but even toddlers can enjoy by running around and exploring. It is divided into sections like Space, Atoms, Human body etc., Special mention about the restaurant. It's on the top, you don't need to visit museum to access the restaurant. It got nice paranomic view of Amsterdam. With museum pass you can visit with kids each section at a time to fully experience it

If you don't buy a ticket for the museum, you have a long walk up the steps on the right side of the roof, up to the bar / cafe. It's worth the walk and tiring either. You get fantastic views of Amsterdam and it is a very pleasant way of spending an hour or two.

First time visiting the NEMO since I moved to NL in 2016. Regardless of having kids or not, it's an exceptionally fun and well designed museum. The exhibits are informative (in both Dutch & English), interactive and you'll remember things from high school science class! Well worth the visit - I'll be taking my two little ones back there again.

Seriously beautiful from the outside!! Enjoyed going here with my nephews and getting to interact with them on so many activities that actually taught them things. So entertaining, fun, engaging and educational! We watched the chain reaction presentation twice and even without speaking Flemish we were able to understand and appreciate it.

It's a great place (for kids) to learn about all kinds of science. I have been there twice now and I haven't seen everything yet. Also there's a restaurant on the top floor with a beautiful view of the center of Amsterdam(see photos)

Beautiful area that includes stunning views from the rooftop terrace. The terrace has attractions to keep kids entertained. Splash pads, swings, etc. They also have a little cafe thing at the very top along with a fountain for drinking water. A must see so you can indulge in the ships and a nice skyline before jumping into the activities Amsterdam has to offer.

A wonderful place to spend 1 (or 2) whole day here with 5+ kids. It's so smartly designed and curated that a kid can enjoy the museum with a different level of interest at each age from 5 to 12. There's a live chain reaction show (bilingual in Dutch and English) twice a day. I recommend to learn the exact timing of the show and coincide with your visit.

Very interesting and interactive. Plenty to see so allow good few hours to see everything. Definitely great for kids but also for adults. The roof part is available to see free of charge.

Loads to do with information points and instructions in English and Dutch. The food and drink was expensive like most attractions - I'd bring your own if you can. A great museum with lots to keep kids and adults alike interested. Booking online was helpful and easy.

It is one of the most interactive museums I have been to. There are few things to consider before you go there. The museum is most suitable for kids but every age group can enjoy it. There are lots of activities which every age group can enjoy. The best time to go is as early as the museum opens. The museum is in two parts, the second part is across the water but there is not much there. The museum can be covered in 3 to 4 hours if you want to take part in most of the activities. It is better to have the museum card to use for the entrance. There is plenty of eating places. The view from the rooftop restaurant is really nice.

One of the best designed museums in Amsterdam. The building was designed by Renzo Piano(!) and the Humania exhibition by design studio Kossmann De Jong (!). The playful environment is mostly directed at kids, but makes learning all the more accessibly! Definitely worth the visit. And make sure to check out the rooftop for a spectacular view!

A very nice place for Children as well as for Parents. So much to see, explore, try and understand. Thought of spending max 3 hours but ended up with more than 5 hours. Children will like it very much. Because of the nice restaurant at the top floor, you can spend 5-6 hours easily by trying/reading the things. You can get a good surrounding view from the top floor with place to sit, eat, chat and play. A must see place. Lockers are available in the ground floor for your extra luggage, so that you can enjoy handsfree.

Very beautiful and interactive science museum. There are different floors with slightly different science topics and it is really cool. The top floor has a restaurant with an amazing outside area on the roof. I recommend this museum. Furthermore there are some fixed times that they have the chain reaction activity where they shoot an air rocket by means of many different steps. Overall, a great museum for science enthusiastics and kids.

A lot of different aspects of science you can find here. Mostly designed learning by doing. That is really nice for the kids especially. Spent 1.5 hours from below to top level. At the roof top you can enjoy your food and drink with the view of Amsterdam.

I recently visited Nemo Science Museum with my kids and was quite surprised by the crowd. Despite that, the museum itself was incredibly interesting, especially for my science-loving boys. While the popularity of the museum required some patience, as we often had to wait for others to finish activities before taking our turn, it was well worth it. One notable aspect was the occasional announcements about missing children and operators calling parents to pick up their kids at the reception. To ensure the safety of smaller children, it might be a good idea for parents to provide their contact information and details in their kids' pockets. Lastly, a word of advice: make sure you keep your tickets safe, as they are needed to exit the museum and its restaurant. Overall, despite the crowds, Nemo Science Museum provided an engaging and educational experience for families.

An amazing experience, I came with my 11-year-old son. There are several floors. The floor that my child enjoyed the most and also stayed there the longest is the floor with the science games. Simply amazing. The other floors are also spectacular. We've been through them all. In the last room we were already tired. We were there for two and a half hours. Simply a fascinating experience for adults too.

Great museum to visit with kids. Adults will have fun too. This is not a traditional museum, there are activities and experiments everywhere. Several floors filled with things to do and experience. Has a lovely top floor bar and seating on the 5th floor with nice views and where kids can run and play some more. Well worth the visit, can easily spend most of a day here.

You and kids can spend a whole day here.. won't get bored. There is so much to do including science experiments. We entered around 11 and left at 5. My Son wanted to spend more time inside if they weren't closing.. lol.

This is an amazing science museum and is currently my all time favorite. There are about 4 floors of exhibits and a cafe on the fifth that leads to the roof. The roof is open to the public and you do not need a ticket to access it, though it is only open during museum hours. This is a busy museum, if you arrive mid-day expect there to be a lot of action while people are learning through each of the exhibits. This is great for all ages though most of the exhibits I would recommend for people 7+ as there are larger concepts and lots of information available for each exhibit.

Excelent museum to go with kids of all ages or teenagers! A great way to experiment and learn new things while playing! Would highly recommend for a rainy day! You can learn about science in the lab, about colours and visuals, about the human body and a lot more!

I went here with my partner, we don’t have children, it felt kinda weird to be there without kids. It’s definitely an amazing education fun experience for parents to take their kids. But don’t go with your S.O./friends, there’s better attractions in Amsterdam for that. We had fun looking at the displays and watched the water clock for like half an hour.

Went to the free rooftop experience early in the morning. Was quiet and lovely place to grab some pics. Went back in the afternoon for a drink and relaxed but felt a bit like a school trip central. Still had a nice time.
