Excellent service and drinks! The baristas were very kind helping me decide between all the options for my iced latte. My ice latte was PERFECT. Cold, 2 shots of espresso, and sweet but not too sweet. Very relaxed, cozy atmosphere to sit inside and outside of cafe. Best coffee spot!

Kafenion was such a great experience! I went here to check out the neighborhood and try a new coffee and I was shocked! The barista / owner asked what I wanted and he told me I needed to try this latte with a Greek origin - Freddo Cappucino. It was so incredible! This is a MUST!

The place was amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxed and it is also pet friendly. The food is delicious, very nice and the taste is the same as in Greece! definitely worth a visit and I’m going back again! Good job! 👏🏼

Once you enter this cool and cosy place the sweet coffee aromas are all around you. The taste of the coffee was full, balanced, and smooth. The barista was super nice and brought out our coffees himself. We played a game of backgammon and it was such a chill vibe. Loved it here and will be back.

A very cozy and lovely Greek cafe in the Jordaan district. Good coffee and Greek pies to share as a snack. They were super busy on the weekend but we could find a table. I ordered a cappuccino with hazelnut shot which made it a bit sweeter but was good. Greek coffee was also good but it's unfiltered like Turkish coffee. So if you like filtered coffee then stick to the other brews.

A really cozy coffee place with great service! The pie's are really awesome. Tried their special Greek Coffee! It's made in a special way, definitely not everyone's cup-of-tea (coffee!!), but I'd recommend it!

We had a coffee here on our first day in Amsterdam. It was a great experience! We also ordered the Bougatsa (sweet cream Greek pie), it was absolutely delicious! I would describe it like a crispier deconstructed Portuguese tart - so good. Would recommend getting there a bit earlier as they mentioned that was the last for the day. We also tried a Greek coffee for the first time and we ordered it initially without sugar, we requested for sugar after as it was a bit bitter, but the barista mentioned it had to be made with sugar and he very kindly made us another Greek coffee to go with sugar so we could try it!

We had a list of coffee places to go for our five mornings in Amsterdam, started with this one closest to where we were staying. Tossed the list after we had Kafenion the first morning, the lattes were that good, along with their food offerings, and their staff really care about their work. Best coffee of our twenty four days in Europe

Best coffee I have ever had! This is coming from someone who lives in the Pacific North West (Seattle) where they take coffee serious. The coffee here is top notch and is carefully crafted to your liking. Afterwards the owner always asks how it is to make sure you are satisfied and the coffee is just right for you. They also have delicious pies to go along with your coffee. The coffee shop inside provides a good atmosphere and has a good vibe. Go check them out you won’t be disappointed. When we come to Amsterdam this is our first stop even before our hotel!

Lovely place!!! I am not a coffe fan so i had the lemonade but that was so nice!! The sweetcream pie is amazing if u are mot a fan of cinnamon u can take it off but the texture of that pie the soft filling with the crunchy outside is just devine!! Nice location and there were plenty of tables available it is a self service so u order and sit and they get u the food to the table the people are friendly and always smiling even in this heat 😂!! Oh and they have free wifi and charging spots which was just the cherry on top!! Anyways if u are in the mood for a quick snack or a breakfast i would highly recommend this spot thank u kafenion for the lovely experience!!

It was unbelievably good, had a chai that was just perfect, not too sweet and great quality. And the sweet pie was AMAZING, finally something a little different to have with coffee. Will come back over and over again 🙏🏼✨

Great service and polite staff. I caught a cold and the shop was so kind to make me a special version of mountain tea :) It tastes well and I feel better afterwards. Their latte, chai latte and Spinach pie is delicious as well. Nice vibe and environment, would visit again!

Morning coffee fixed! Found this great vibe cafe near Ann frank house. Ordered the sweet cream pie. I thought it would be pretty sweet, turned out the sweetness level is just right! Also ordered a oatmilk latte. In my opinion the bean flavor wasn’t strong enough, next time I’ll definitely add another espresso shot. Decor was pretty cute with nice music vibe. Self service, free WiFi, what can you ask for?

Fun little cafe. We did a bike food tour and this place happened to be across the street from the bike rental shop. Our guide recommended it as a cool place to chill and get a decent coffee - did not disappoint.

Literally… WOW! Their pies are SOOOOOO good! I didn’t expect that! Very refreshing chill atmosphere in our hectic Amsterdam, I am so happy I found this place! People who work there are super nice, but pies… I don’t know how it’s even legal!

This is the best place you can be in for real good coffee, great homey, cozy atmosphere and amazing greek pastries. Everyone is so friendly, so kind, so hospitable that you never want to leave. Their coffee is fantastic 😍 and this is the only place in Amsterdam you can have real greek frappe and pastries.

Quaint little hole-in-the-wall type of Cafe. The iced frappes that we had were delicious! The best cold coffee I've had in a long long time. Added to that the books stacked on the shelves with the doors opened out into a beautiful part of canal makes this quite a trendy and Amsterdam-ish neighborhood experience. If I have to talk about negatives, I have to say though, that the coffees were served in these paper cups which didn't not seem in line with the ambience of the place. Having said that, I would recommend the place.

Super chill athmosphere, friendly staff, amazing latte. Not a typical cafe house vibe, way much more relaxed. You can play backgammon as well, spend lots of hours while enjoying coffee, tea, home made brioche or pies. It’s a small place in Bloemengracht, bit you can’t miss it!

A bit disappointing. Great reviews, and coffee was great. But service was very slow and even a bit condescending. Such a shame as the place has a cool vibe.

I stumbled upon this little café and discovered the best coffee shop in Amsterdam. The baristas are expert. Each drink is hand crafted with attention to detail. Quality coffee. Quaint tables and chairs outside along the canal of this quiet street. Locals playing backgammon. Try the sweet cream pie or the feta pie. Superb!

Great Greek coffee place! Also the best Greek ice coffee of course. 1 note: they have to improve ventilation in Summer and in Winter. Too warm in Summer and lack of oxygen in winter. If that is solved, then it easily goes to 5 stars.

After traveling around Amsterdam and Haarlem for 5+ days, this was the coziest and most enjoyable cafe experience we came across, and that’s a high bar to set. This inviting basement cafe has a friendly staff, cozy seating and delicious food and drinks. We ordered a macchiato, pour over coffee, and two hand pies - sausage and sweet with cinnamon and sugar. We’ll definitely visit again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

People's vibes was soo cool, and they have the best staff behind the bar, caring so much about your coffee preparation, but fast as hell serving it! Best sunday afternoon ever, thank you guys, see you soon!

Kafenion is a lovely café in gorgeous Jordaan, Amsterdam. I highly recommend the sweet pie. For me, the cappuccino I had was a bit bitter and strong, but everyone has unique tastes with things like these. I'd really recommend visiting them!

Delicious coffee, excellent service, good ambiance, extremely friendly staff and the best neighbors you could wish for. I know, 'cause we're literally next door. They truly love what they do, and put that love into every little detail of coffee making. Check them out, you won't be sorry. And whilst you're at it, try the bougatsa: filo dough, sweet custard, cinnamon and powdered sugar. Invented at the Olympus, served from their pristine kitchen.

Incredible little cafe in the prettiest street in Jordaan. Greek owned and the pies (borek) are the real deal. Everything they serve is authentic Greek (even the coffee, water bottles, etc). You know those spots that specialize in one or two food items on their menu, and kill it? This is one of them! Definitely order one of the pies. Simple but outrageously delicious food + stunning ambiance + friendly service = a breakfast/brunch experience you don’t want to miss in Amsterdam. Deserves the 5 stars.

Absolutely delicious coffee made with beans directly from Greece. I loved visiting this coffee shop, and the visit was even better because the owner took time to discuss the coffee and how he prepares each drink (I enjoyed a flat white). Do yourself a favor and stop here!

Nice café where Greek people can really feel like home. Good food at very good price per quality, but they make you pay for adding honey to the tea, first and last place ever where something like that to me happened to me. The service is sometimes good, sometimes a bit disappointing, some waiters are very nice and some others can be hasty/ rude. They organize live Greek music events every now and then

  • 4/5 Richa K. 1 year ago on Google
Got charged a bit extra so mind the card machine when youre paying and there are not too many charging points near the chairs. Otherwise, the Spinach and feta pastry was delicious, their restroom was clean, the staff was lovely and the music was upbeat and positive. Great way to start the day. Edited due to typo

Coffee is good, food is good, but never experienced more rude service. Kindly waited over 40 min for coffee.... Then lectured for 2 min about being impatient when at the end I had to leave as I show my family around the city and had to ask refund.

👍 A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.
