A super cosy coffee place. The branding and decoration are super nice. They have a wide variety of options and the sweets are super delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative points is that it isn’t suitable for work due to their uncomfortable seating areas.

So far my favorite coffee shop in Amsterdam. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. But the food and coffee made up for it tenfold. The artichoke sandwich was PERFECT. The poached egg had textbook consistency. A solid 10/10. It is pricey, but absolutely worth it. The Spooner (soft scramble on sourdough brioche) was also absolutely worth it. The espresso was insane too. For Amsterdam, it wasnt even expensive. So was the matcha latte w oat milk. The kouign-amann was very good, but not as perfect as the rest. You can still go for it, but dont expect anything crazy. Will come back to try the other pastries tho. So happy to have found this gem.

I just had an Americano, and it was excellent. So the food rating reflects that. Nice corner space with good strong coffee and only a block away from small world. Friendly staff, and some nice outdoor seating. That’s all for now.

Toki is bae. Does not stand out with some unique drink or a bake good but it provides the coziest of spaces that screams japanese wholesomeness. The coffees are great. The vibe is chill. hipsters galore in the best way possible. and the staff are some of the nicest i’ve ever met. Corner spot on a calm street but inspiring space.

If you are into coffee ☕️ then you are gonna love this place. The barista knew his stuff and how to create the perfect coffee.

Waiting 20 min for a coffee to go is a bit long in my opinion. This happened a few times now. Coffee is mediocre at best. Definitely better alternatives in the near neighbourhood.

Baristas are very friendly and accommodating. Good social vibe inside. The iced matcha latte was pretty decent.

Essentially excellent. The least you can do is enjoy excellent cuisine for breakfast and lunch, observe life in the surrounding area, and yours leaves you astounded at the richness and complexity. You enter depressed, you leave healed.

Best coffee in the area, good breakfast lunch options (also for vegans). Gets super busy and has limited seating but if you’re patient, you can usually get a spot. Only starts serving food at 10:00 though, so be aware if you’re an early riser.

Hidden gem in Ams. Awesome coffee, vibes and their cakes are super delicious. Tried their filtered coffee, flat white, banana bread and chocolate brownie cake

Basic hipster cafe, with super rude staff at the espresso machine. Reaching its absolute peak hours at Sundays around 1-2pm. Overpriced on top of above mentioned points.

I love this place! Saw their scrambled eggs and wanted to try them for myself. The chilli oil was genius! The staffs here are 🫰🏻, especially the lady with crochet hat and the lady that served the food for me, they greeted me upon my leave. Delicious food just feels different when cooked and served with love and warmth. What an excellent choice for a rainy morning💕 Would definitely come back here again when i visit amsterdam.

Perfect place for local tourist who wants to visit Amsterdam and avoid tourist spots. The banana bread is definitely the best one I have ever tried. The caramelized croissant is also delicious. The filter coffee is freshely brewed and had a smooth texture. Barista suggested the Ethiopian beans so thanks for it! You can either sit or take away. Chic, hobo amsterdam experience!

Unassuming corner with minimalist decor and delicious baked goods and coffee. Hip hop softly playing in the background, it's a vibe. We got: -lemon pound cake which was thick and yummy. Felt like a full meal -zatat hash with fried eggs, if you like flavor... It's amazing. Loved the eggs, potatoes, and the fried sourdough bread. YUMMMM

Coffee is pretty good here, nothing special but we enjoyed our flat white and cappuccino. The cafe gets pretty busy but there’s a decent amount of seating and it’s cozy inside on a cold day. The staff are also very friendly.

One of the best coffee places in Amsterdam. Good quality coffee.. for sure in my top 3 coffee places. Also really good tea selection.

Delicious coffee, nice acidity note. Banana coconut cake is pretty good too. Perfect for a coffee break or informal meeting, music is not too loud, international crowd.

  • 4/5 Paul van den B. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place, love the ambience and setting. The fresh cakes together with coffee and or tea. Nicely situated on the corner, a pretty busy place. Espresso little bit too much acidity for me but not bad. Good service as well.

Real quality coffee, hipster central Toki does hipster coffee like it’s meant to be. Their coffee, their machines and their expertise all poured into your cup to make for that perfect cafeïne kick. Expect a queue if you show up after 09:00 and it moves slow because it is usually only barista at work. The queue has more mustaches than a p*rn movie from the 70-ies and more beanie appropriation of English working class culture than most would care to admit. But, the baristas are knowledgeable and up for a chat. Setting the hefty price for the coffee and the sad mono-culture of hipsterdom aside, there is no better place for a cup of coffee in the neighborhood. And, they have punny sandwiches and their pastries are great.

Visiting with a friend that was here before that he recommended hands down lovely place! Small but always get a table! Cakes and pastries are divine! Flat white was delish! Girls serving amazing & helpful! 💗

Always a buzzing atmosphere and — most importantly — stellar coffee. The best in town, in my opinion. Staff are friendly and we’re happy to recommend (and grind) a bag of beans for me, which were exactly what I wanted. I’ve also enjoyed all the baked goods there, especially the miso sesame peanut butter cookies. (Yes, they’re as good as they sound.)

Simply my favourite cafe in Amsterdam, superb coffee & food and hip decor;) I visit every time when I’m in the city

Good coffee and the egg was good too, unfortunately they run out of bread at 12.30pm which is crazy to me. The cake was nice. It was very crowded though and it's always very crowded here so I'm not sure if I'd go back.

  • 5/5 Ksenia T. 2 years ago on Google
Good coffee, nice desserts and friendly staff. Just keep in mind you cannot charge the laptop here, as this place doesn’t want to become a place for people just working here. So you can rather enjoy coffee, chat, readings or charge your laptop in advance:)

Just discovered this place few days ago. Staff are great, nice coffee and cozy corners to enjoy a good time. My fav spot is definitely next to the window;)

Great coffee, pastries and cool interior. scrambled eggs with chilli oil were to die for. It’s also nice to know that it’s not as touristy as mostly locals go here

Tea tastes really good and the cake was really nice! The chair feels a little weak though but other than that it’s a lovely place with sweet staff

Delicious (and strong flavored) flat white and amazing pastries. The granola was amazing as well, but the gruyere sandwich (unfortunately) a bit bland. Nonetheless, great staff, cool location, we'd return!

Best coffee I’ve had in my life! Toki is a hip, industrially designed coffee shop that offers really good coffee, and some pastries which they get from Petit Gateau, which is by itself a must visit. Would definitely recommend to go out of your way to get there

Sunday, January 30th: Friendly service and good coffee but when it comes to hygiene, especially during these times of a pandemic!, there's a lot of room for improvement. The employees don't wear a mask and on top of that the lady preparing my coffee wipes her mouth and nose with her hands. She did not wash her hands afterwards.

Been here quite a few times, love the Berlin vibes that this place offers. Great atmosphere and playlist, plus a delicious coffee menu! The Yuzu lemonade was out of this world. Unfortunately they don’t have any vegan options for pastry, but the cakes look amazing! They do have alternatives for milk. 100% worth the visit!

Totally enjoyed my coffee, not in central tourist location, so 99.9% are locals. Happen to pop by and realised this good hideout. Their cakes are very fast selling too, try it..

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
