Cozy and friendly cafe frequented by locals. There is a big live-edge table down the middle of the seating area that serves as a community table and some other seating around the perimeter. Staff and customers were all so friendly! Coffee was tasty, though my cappuccino was a bit heavy on the liquid milk. Highly recommended.

Very very good coffee!! I walked here all the way after having a bad coffee somewhere else and it was totally worth it. Nice atmosphere and great place to work as well. Plus, it’s far from the touristic hurdle of the city. Highly recommend if you’re a coffee lover like me.

Very nice and cosy place for afternoon coffee. There are a few tables outside to enjoy weather and grow your coffee addiction. You will find the all the most important coffee brewing methods here. Try the cold brew and the Apple pie - they do well together. Nice and fast service.

This is my local coffee house, and it is everything I could ever want and more!!! The staff are genuinely friendly and Happy to be there. Art from local artists adorns the walls. Bonky, the resident cat, likes to curl up on your lap.

They used to serve GREAT coffee, now it's very HIT or MISS. The main/old staff brews coffee (cappuccino in my case) perfectly. Just dark enough with the right amount of foam milk. New hires don't seem to be able to do this. They serve cappuccino's with way too much milk (85/15 balance). For a shop that's on the high end of pricing, I expect top quality all the time. It shouldn't depend on the barista. When I see the bad performers behind the counter, I now take a stroll to another shop. Besides that... It's a roomy designed store with with lot's of seating space (inside and outside).Staff is friendly and acknowledge you. They play good music, but a bit too loud (can't have normal conversation or focus on work thereof)

Such a chill and relaxed space to sit, meet and vibe. I enjoyed some very tasty filter coffees, a vegan toasty and a great work session in the laptop allowed space in the back. Extra shoutout to Bonkie the cat who sat with me throughout my whole stay. Love a good cafecat.

I go here often for their coffee. It’s a cute cafe in my neighbourhood! I enjoy their coffee and I buy my beans from here too. Especially love the beans from Ethiopia. I also enjoy their bakes - such as the spinach cheese quiche and the banana bread. Will keep going back for more

Very generic cup of coffee! I asked for latte then I realised that it was a very good decision as the coffee was woody and earthy and milk shadowed the otherwise crude taste profile of the coffee. I can imagine that it would be almost undrinkable as an espresso. If no acidity, no fruitiness whatsoever! If you want to drink something more sophisticated, there are better choices in the West.

Cozy place with good vibes in a lovely neighborhood. Really good specialty coffee options, the iced americano and iced latte (with coconut water) were amazing. Grilled sandwich and banana bread were delicious! This is our favourite cafe in the area!

A bit crowdy by local people but it obviously because of successful. Apple pie is marvelous, advise it ! Enjoy.

My new favorite coffee spot in Amsterdam. A cosy little place, pet friendly, with a separate laptop/working area in the back. On a good day, there are plenty of outside tables at the front.

I'm always in this place for coffee, live near by the area and go in two to three times a week, staff are lovely and coffee is one of the best places in amsterdam, yesterday I went in and an older man was extremely rude to me, I work in this industry and can understand the pressure of hospitality but there was no need for this kind of behaviour, asked for a coffee and before I could ask for the second coffee he cut me off and continued to be rude, was having a bad day anyway and actually left the place in tears over this man, he made me feel very little and all I wanted was a coffee, really let me down as this place is my favourite place, ıl be going to the other back to black in future. All the girls and other staff are always so kind but this older Dutch man really upset me yesterday.

Comfortable and inviting seating and layout. Fresh air flow, open patio and also shared table for digital nomads. Right next to the bus stop. As I did not have wifi, It became the perfect spot to rest me and my luggage and check my messages.

Lovely cafe with some tables outside in a cute little square. LOVED the cappuccino with coconut milk and the cinnamon roll! They have few sweet and salty food options, mainly vegetarian/vegan. If I have to find a downside can be the fact you need to pick up your order at the bar, but was no big deal for me.

One of my favourite neighbourhood cafes. Out of the tourist area, exceptionally good coffee with knowledgeable, service oriented and unpretentious baristas. Attention to detail everywhere , from the coffee to the decor and the choice of music. Cool without really trying. I stop by for half an hour every time I drop off my daughter to school just to get my head ready for work. It’s everything you want in a cafe.

As gezellig as it gets (in a hipster kind of way). Coffee is very good, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. They also give out treats for dogs, so many cute dogs are happily anticipating their treat inside. Definitely a great go to place for hanging out / having a 1:1

Wonderful single-origin boutique coffee. Complex flavor profiles and several to choose from each time I've visited. Very busy, better to take out for me. However if you like a lively morning environment, enjoy a seat and people/puppy watching.

Delicious coffee and most barista's are so friendly. Lovely spots to sit and a terrace in front ánd in the small garden. Love the cardemon bun!

What a gem! Great vibe, great music and - most importantly - even greater coffee and home made pastries! Even got to judge an impromptu latte art competition, what more could anyone ask for? :-) If you're looking for that relaxt holiday feel away from the masses or just for a place to recharge at during a busy work from home day, this is it. Dare I say it? Once you go Back to Black, you never go back! It'll be our little secret... ;-)

One of the best coffee places in Amsterdam!! ☕️👌🏼If you are lucky, get one of the Espresso balls. Also the staff is just so kind and friendly, they will make sure you have a good time & coffee of course.
