Eclectic, artful, intelligent selection; THIS is the kind of store that makes a city unique. As I wandered the store, I saw curios and objects which spoke to the good judgment and taste of the owners. There is a vision here and it's worth your time. A not-miss store in Amsterdam.

Great and curious store with a lot of very interesting and beautiful pieces. It has everything from entomology boxes, to soaps, to art. It's a small store, with big prices but for the people with this type of interest, it's a shop worth a visit.

Exactly the kind of store I'd want to visit when in a city. A great range of goods that all seem to have a story, something you can't quite get anywhere else. Glad to have found it.

This is a really unique shop and worth your time to stop just to see the amazing preserved insects and butterflies from all over the world. Inside it's like a colorful museum full of amazingly beautiful butterflies. The shop also contains all manner of unique and handmade gifts for sale. The owner discussed with us how the people who preserve the insects do so in an environmentally sound manner and help preserve land while bringing knowledge and beauty to the public forefront.

Tip from a fellow Spooky gal, this is not the Oddities shop you're looking for. That is not to say this isn't a beautiful store. There are insect specimens and art pieces that definitely signify an oddity store, however this is much more...austere? It is reminiscent of a Restoration Hardware + oddities adjacent gift shop. If you're looking for taxidermy, there's a good spot in De Pijp. To see skeletal and medical specimens, check out Museum Vrolik. If you're looking to pick up cute housewares or a framed insect, this is the spot!

Pretty cool little shop! I wish there were a few more unique items, as many of the items for sale look mass-produced. But their selection is great for gifts or oddities for around the house.

Found this gem on an amazing vacation and the treasures we brought home have become our most cherised souvenirs that will last a lifetime as they are of tremendous quality. A few months later I contacted the shop and ordered a Christmas surprise for my wife which was an easy and painless process resulting in her being delighted! Love this place and dream of returning someday.

Interesting place I would almost go as far to call a little museum rather than a shop. Feels like walking into a Victorian-era entomologist´s laboratory! Lots of peculiar objects around worth browsing through so if you're into either interiors, steampunk, or bugs this place is your heaven. Do stop by. Be warned though, as prices lean more towards the higher end of the scale you'll be tempted but will most likely leave empty handed.
