😠 It's a good clinic, the receptionists are friendly and welcoming and the past dentist was really good but now I may say it's like going to a mechanic. It's a medical centre and it should be focused on people instead of being focused on giving more treatment possible. In the end I changed clinic. People often mention dentist, appointment, teeth, Wael, treatment, time, dental, practice, assistant, told,

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Used to be a nice, HONEST dentis office when there was the female dentist, now there is a male dentist who wants to get you to do as much work as possible. BE CAREFUL!! DO NOT TRUST HIM!! And, for some reason, when the female worked there (last year), my bill was 20Euros cheaper. My husband and I will NEVER go to this dentist office again. They are completely out for money -- it's like a car repair shop -- they will make up ANY excuse for a job to do on your teeth. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL!!!!!!! You'd be better off flying to Cambodia for a 2 week holiday and getting your work done there. It would cost the same. :)

I would advise against going to Dr Wael. I was with Mr Wael for the first time three weeks ago (I normally go to Dr Maydy). He said my gums and dental bone were receding and I have periodontitis. He said I need a gum cleaning for this. I received a quote for about 400 euros for this. I asked for a second opinion because I thought it was strange that Dr Wael drew a conclusion so quickly. Previous dentists had said they could tell I was grinding my teeth. This can also be a reason for receding gums and dental bones, just like brushing too hard. But Dr Wael did not consider either other option. The dentist of the second opinion (three weeks later) said that I do not have paradonitis. I didn't have any serious inflammation and my dental bone didn't look like that of someone with periodontitis. She also couldn't see any difference between my dental bone in photos from 2018 and in the latest photos. Moreover, she discovered a large hole near my molars, which Dr Wael had not seen. Of course, every dentist works differently. But I think it is bad that Dr Wael is so quick to recommend expensive and drastic surgery to patients, without properly investigating whether this is really necessary. And that he simply overlooks a big gap. I provided feedback at the practice and the practice owner discussed it with Dr Wael. Unfortunately, Dr Wael only showed the latest photos of my teeth to the practice owner and compared these with 'normal teeth'. The practice owner said that my dental bone had indeed receded considerably compared to 'normal teeth'. While: every set of teeth is different. Why didn't Dr Wael show my latest photos versus my previous photos? Then you should be able to see it when my dental bone is actually receding. I have unsubscribed from the practice. Too bad, because I was satisfied with Dr. Maydy.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this practice. Downright unprofessional, heavy-handed and way too expensive. In addition, the dentist probably touched my nerve while filling my cavity. I was in a lot of pain and therefore wanted to have it looked at again. However, according to the assistant, I would have to pay for this myself. When I went there again to pay, the assistant pointed out to me that I had to bear with the pain for a while. He said it was normal and could be because I was maybe stressed and that's why I was grinding my teeth. After a heated discussion on the telephone and my previous unpleasant experience, I decided to go to another dentist. It was determined that my nerve had indeed died and that I therefore had to have a root canal treatment. If I had listened to the dental assistant, I would have walked around in pain for a long time.

I have never experienced such inefficient, unknowledgeable, unprofessional, and frankly, outright rude behavior as I have as a patient of 3 years with this practice. I purchased an Invisalign treatment, and the doctor never told me that their orthodontist is only available ONE Saturday per month. If you have to reschedule, then you wait 2 months to see a doctor. At the end of my 2nd treatment (the first one failed to correct a major turn in my front tooth), I was told that a permanent top retainer should be sufficient. At a cost of 188€, I agreed that if the orthodontist recommended this would be ok in lieu of a plastic retainer, that it sounded like a better option. Within 2-3 weeks I noticed my teeth shifting GREATLY! My front tooth was turning, so I made the first possible appointment with the Director, who then exclaimed that he could do nothing, he only works with traditional braces because Invisalign is not very effective, and I’d have to come back. Why would the owner of a business sell a product that they do not believe actually works? I left feeling dissatisfied, and I didn’t realize at the time that he was the owner with his flippant, nonchalant attitude. I made an appointment for the ONE DAY A MONTH the orthodontist is available, and was hospitalized, so had to wait 2 months. The front desk was incredibly rude about my circumstances and constantly prying into my business. I explained I have a disease and had to have emergency surgery. The hostility and unprofessionalism of the reception was absolutely ludicrous. I finally got in to see my orthodontist and the wire was broken after 3 mo. (it should last 2-3 years), and my teeth are again crooked. I need to basically start my treatment over. I explained that I would be seeking another provider, at which time I was told that they had my bottom retainer (which I never ordered) and I paid a total of 188 euro for the top and bottom. They said it was included in the package. If it was “included” then why was I told the bottom was to be a total of almost 300€ for both. I was unhappy at the end of the appointment and was told I could take the lower retainer with me (I paid for it before) but they then claimed I had a 90 euro bill outstanding. Mind you, at the last appointment, I paid 188 euro for the “included” retainers. I told the reception that must be a mistake and that I was not going to pay this unknown bill. She refused to give me my retainer and I had to go back and have a discussion with the director (who was the doctor who told me he doesn’t work with Invisalign), and was treated with such disrespect from the moment I walked in the door. The hostile reception was whispering about me, they refused to give me the information needed to get in touch with Invisalign, and after I was ushered into the director (late), he proceeded to open the door so the front reception could hear the conversation. I addressed my privacy concerns by law regarding my health information, and requested the door to remain closed. He then opened it again. He began making faces at me, cutting me off, raised his voice, defended his”team” and was absolutely handling the issue in a totally inappropriate fashion. I asked him to please not shout at me or make faces, and he said he can make whatever faces he wants. I was so insulted, as I remained calm and stuck to facts. After this degradation, he then realized that there was, in fact, a billing error, after he had humiliated me in front of the office and his staff. He claimed he needed the door open for his assistant, then for “fresh air”, although the previous patient had the door closed the entire time. The whole experience was demoralizing and I will seek further action because I spent thousands of dollars, a lot of time, and trusted this practice. He removed the incorrect bill, which was going to go to the Incasso bureau. He then said “You can take the bottom wire; she should’ve given you that, then this is over..” I have a bracket and a broken wire still in my mouth, which were paid for. No apology. Nothing!

Dr Wael filled two of my teeth. I was treated completely professionally and helpfully. Thank you. don't mind the bad comments here because it seems the problems are not for the bad treatment the whole problem is the money paid but the fees are the same everywhere in the netherlands.

(Translated by Google) Yesterday I had an appointment to fix a loose splint but it was canceled at the last minute because the dental assistant would be ill. The appointment has been moved to today. Today I received a call 45 minutes before the appointment (at 3 p.m.) with the message that unfortunately the appointment cannot take place again because the dentist is ill. I was outside of Amsterdam because of work and was already on my way to the dentist. If you have a little respect for other people's time, let us know at least in the morning that the appointment will be canceled due to a sick report and not just before (and that even 2 days in a row). Conversely, you will get a heavy fine if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance, but apparently only your own time is of value. In any case, I will register with another dentist!

(Translated by Google) I was in a lot of pain and could go straight and got rid of my pain quickly. Top dentists. There are also dental specialists who think along to provide the best treatment. I had to have a root canal treatment and that went painless, despite all the horror stories, the root canal treatment went very well. I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a dentist. Thank you again TK Westerpark for the painless treatment. 👍🏻👍🏻👌

(Translated by Google) They are doing well despite Corona. The dentist also explains everything well and they are helpful at the reception. The clinic is also open on Saturdays, which is very convenient. I am happy with them. (Original) Zij doen het goed ondanks Corona. (Translated by Google) Rugged construction workers. Pretty rude doctor and assistant. works rough. During the check, he knocked a steel container with his tools over me. They work very uncomfortably. I've never done it. It seems they are looking for nails at low tide to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Suddenly there was stress in my jaws and because of that I gritted my teeth, he thought and I had to have a grinding plate made for € 200. I think the wear on my teeth was caused by crookedness. Advice was to the orthodontist, for invisalign braces. The first consultation for the opinion of that ortho immediately cost a lot of money. In the end it turned out that he cannot perform invisalign at all, only does metal wire with locks. Then the crunch plate is also not possible. There is a poster of it in the waiting room so they don't know what each other is offering. Now it is said that there was a lady before it who is "sick". The bottom line is that I have to look for another practice with an orthodontist who can offer it. I no longer see the added value of staying here for the dentist. It's all very shabby and unprofessional. The receptionist is very friendly. But it won't help your teeth. (Original) Ruige bouwvakkers.

I had a broken tooth and wanted to be treated as soon as possible. I called Dental clinic Westerpark because I live nearby. I could make an appointment right a way on the same day. The dentist help me with the pain but I had to come back to be treated by a specialist. I needed a rootcanal treatment. I could make an appointment on the Following Saturday, it was great that they are open in Saturdays. I was stressen about the rootcanal treatment but it went well, painfree. My tooth was fixed very nicely. It was not cheap but they told me in the beginning about it. I am very happy with the service and the professional care they gave me. It is a small clinic but vey intelligent people work in here. I could register me as a regular patient so I will from now on go evey 6 month for check up. Happy to go there again.

My daughter has been waiting for braces for three quarters of a year. Since then, the orthodontist has been coming up with excuses that she is ill, no time, no right material, etc... today my daughter had an appointment, my daughter is very happy that the appointment is finally going ahead. I called to ask what time the appointment is... 1:30 PM or 2:00 PM? Does the assistant simply say that the appointment cannot go ahead because the Ortho is ill??!!!! Shoot me!! I tell the assistant: you don't believe she is sick, do you??!! I have been fooled for three quarters of a year with all kinds of excuses! To which the assistant did not know how to answer and was ashamed to cancel the patients. Stop fooling the patients and PLEASE don't waste your time and ours!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Beware!! I got a good cleaning there, but he overcharged me for the cleaning time. He also used this rubber thing to keep my mouth open during the cleaning. It was totally unnecessary and he charged me for it without explaining why he used it. The worst was that he squirted something into my mouth at the end, maybe mouthwash or some kind of cleanser. He didn't explain what it was or give me the opportunity to spit it out. I was charged for that too!
