👍👍 Fast and hassle-free rental. The price is €39.00 as a basic price +€1.50 per person. Boats are easy to steer and there is a map on board for orientation. Despite the little time left, we were still able to get out on the water, thank you very much! We recommend! Great experience! The price is a little high, but worth the purchase. We paid €90 for 3 hours with the boat. No pilot's license required to drive. Amsterdam seen from inside the canals is even more beautiful and exclusive. We will definitely do the tour again.

Reserved for a 3h ride on Saturday 15:30-18:30 17/02/2024 (cloudy.5-10 degrees) - we arrived 15min late at 15:45 at the place and there was nobody (less one star)at 15x Naussaukade - called the call center and waited more than 5 minutes to be told that the place has changed to 351 Nausaaukade and that they had sent an message in the morning (FALSE- a checked my email, junk box and sms - no message was sent in the morning!!!) - staff was nice, but visibly understaffed since 1-2 persons were cleaning, checking identity cards, given life jackets etc. We ended up waiting more then 10min to sit in the boat; we finally sat in the boat at 16:20! - what was good: we were given enough blankets, a map and cushions (it was cold!) - the boat itself is nice, but slow. You are at max 5km/h and constantly surpassed by bigger quicker boats. Conclusion: Nice riding being on your own private boat instead of a cruise, but in February be aware that it can be very cold. 3 hoirs was far too long so we did not even ride 2 hours. To be mentioned that we lost 35min because of the boat management.

Rented a boat for 2 hours and went down the Amstel into the city center and then back on the outer canal. Saw the cat houseboat but unfortunately it was cloudy and cool and not many cats were out. Would recommend 3 or more hours if you want to leisurely cruise the canals and see a good amount of the city.

We had an amazing experience renting a boat at Boats4rent. Pieter gave us above excellent service, recommended a beautiful route, and answered any questions we had about operating the boat with grace. I would highly recommend this boat rental company, given the service we received. Thank you, all!

Boats are extremely slow. No one was slower than us int he canals ande we were only 4 people… It’s true they are cheaper than others, but it’s not worth it. Staff was nice and it’s well located though (hence 3*, else it’d have been 2*)

It's simply much better to cruise the canals and discover Amsterdam this way than on one of the packed tourist boats. You don't need any previous experience. The boats are quite slow, but that's not a bad thing as you can't go much faster anyway and it's comfortable. Deduction for limited comfort. You could definitely provide a few sensible seat cushions.

We rented a boat between 5. They are a little slow, if they slow down you have to put your hand in the engine (off) to remove what is surely a plastic that is slowing down the engine. The day we rented it, it was very windy and the current beat us a little, but the experience was unforgettable.

The boat goes extremely slowly (at walking speed at best), were taken over by literally every other boat during our ride. Not that you need something extremely fast for this kind of leisure sightseeing but a lot more could be covered at a samewhat higher speed. (Like those boats we saw from other companies with similar size and rate). Reverse is even less powerful, making “breaking” and avoiding crashes with other boats a big challenge. We also had only one sitting cushion for the whole boat, so the rest of were sitting on the plain metal seets, very uncomfortable after a while.

The best experience! The best time! We rented a boat from Boats4rent online, months before our trip. Initially I rented from another location and they were graciously able to change our reservation to the Nassaukade location. We arrived early with our sandwiches, drinks and umbrella (that, thankfully we didn’t need) and were met by the awesome host who told us all the rules and sent us on our way. It is really wonderful that this boat rental exists. You certainly cannot have this experience for a more reasonable price. I wanted to go by the house where I lived years ago, but was unable to because the last bridge was just 1” too low for the boat to go under, dang it! Although we went off of the advised route, we were able to safely traverse the canals of Amsterdam. It was the perfect day, just the threat of rain with only a small sprinkling for less than 10 minutes. The whole perspective of Amsterdam changes from a boat on a canal. It’s magical. You don’t have to worry about bicycles, haha! There are so many smaller canals that are so lovely to see that you normally wouldn’t be able to with the big tour boats. There is nothing like piloting your own boat in Amsterdam. It’s the greatest!!! There is nothing like being the master of your own destiny!

The boats are incredible unstable and even have a capsize warning label on them. Our boat was either not fully charged or defective and would only go along at a crawl speed, really diminishing the fun and making maneuvering through busy boat traffic quite tricky. Next time I will rent elsewhere and get a more substantial boat that is stable and can have the same pace as other boat traffic.

Friendly staff, nice boat (clean and everything worked fine), great price (€10 more for an extra hour), easily accessible (Nassaukade and not in the middle of the hustle and bustle) and had a great evening on the water. Recommended!

Fully booked, but only have one person attending the stand. Waiting more than 30 minutes just to be helped.

Boat is too small and not comfort moving too slow and we rented 2 boats but one could not move and was too slow ...😪

The hosts were nice and helpful, the boats look good and the pillows are comfortable. I was not satisfied with the boat’s motor, I find it too weak and too slow compared to other rental boats and it’s make it almost impossible to say on course against stronger headwind (we got pushed to the other side of the canal and had to turn backwards, in another case we had hard time in crossing canals and navigating among other bigger boats and the water turbulence they caused).

Good and inexpensive boats. It was nice to sail through the streets where I had lived for several years.

Boats4rent is an amazing company. The company provided great customer service. The check process was simple. There wasn't much paper work to fuss with. Peter, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and informative. In fact he went above and beyond making recommendations, for other places of interest, to me. He made the boating experience quite seamless for a person who didn't have much boat experience. He made suggestions on the route we should take as well as recommending we take some additional time, without charge (due to it being slow in the season), and see points of interest that would exceed our 3 hour boat rental booking. It was a great time with great customer service. In addition, Boats4rent is conveniently located. I also want to thank Noorje for checking us in upon return of the boat. She provided great service and made the check in process easy.

An amazing experience, great boats, competitive pricing and most important friendly and helpful staff. We got to see the city from a completely different perspective and enjoyed every minute of it.

Great experience, and probably the cheapest in Amsterdam. However we were also the slowest boat compared to pretty much everyone else (even the other small boat renters) which made it sometimes stressful to get out of the way of bigger boats.

Had a great experience!! My friends were visiting Amsterdam and we rented out a boat to explore the city, they had the best time and absolutely loved it. The staff at Boats4rent was absolutely lovely, explained everything very patiently and answered all of our questions. Next time will definitely rent here again, highly recommend!

My friends and I rented a boat with boats4rent and it was the perfect activity for a sunny day in Amsterdam! The staff was super nice and the instructions were very clear, including a map that we could follow. We got the hang of the boat very quickly and we had an amazing time. I would definitely rent here again, highly recommend!!

One of the highlights to our tour of Amsterdam. Wonderful experience. Most reasonable price in Amsterdam, very responsive management. Works out cheaper than a guided tour boat and is much more fun (we did both), especially if you have more than two people. ! Get a good map and explore. Two hours is only just enough time. I would suggest four hours for the best experience and freedom. Bring a big picnic and enjoy the sights.

We rented a boat from Boats4rent with 6 friends for the first time. We had a great experience! It was really easy to operate, the prices are really fair, and the staff were really friendly! Definitely planning to rent again this summer now that things are opening up in the city. :)

What a wonderful experience to enjoy Amsterdam by boat! We felt really relaxed and consider booking it again next time we're in Amsterdam. Many thanks to Spencer who welcomed us with a great smile and explained us patiently how to handle the boat.

I've been using Boats4Rent Amsterdam for years now, and it's always been a great time. The electric boats are awesome, they have always been 100% reliable, and they are limited to the speed limit of the Amsterdam canals, which makes it quite relaxing in terms of keeping within the rules. The company has always been really accommodating when I move dates around after booking (due to weather, etc). Seb and Wieb always look after us when we check in/check out. So nice to just be able to give the boat back after the day of boating and walk away!

I surprised my wife with a morning boat ride and could not have picked a better service. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. They provided us with great advice and direction, as well as a laminated map to allow us to explore on our own. We loved that the boats are electric and allowed us to keep the water clean while enjoying the lovely sunny morning of Amsterdam. We will definitely go again with friends and our children.

We (a group of 4 friends) rent a boat last week on a sunny and hot day in Amsterdam to take advantage of the beautiful weather and the experience was amazing! Good prices for 3 hours for a boat that worked perfectly to go around Amsterdam canals. The girl who attended us was very nice and she explained everything carefully to us with a very understandable explanation. The boat was clean and easy to drive. The location were you have to go is easy to find in de Pijp. Highly recomended spot if you are willing to rent a boat!

I had a great day out in Amsterdam, and a trip around the canals on an electric boat from Boats4Rent. Very friendly staff and not expensive. The base on Nassaukade is nice and very close to the center.
