Terrible customer service. They won’t offer any help, and ignore you or any greeting when you enter the store. Sad to see… won’t ever be returning.

Spoil yourself. Baobab is the perfect place to visit on a rainy Saturday morning, right after a nice little breakfast at the Vlaamsch Broodhuys in Elandsgracht. With countless rings, bracelets, earrings and more gems from India, Pakistan and more countries I always find a new piece I love and wear for good. So much love also for the staff, in 12 years of regularily visiting them I never left disappointed.

Horrible service. Kindly asked one of the workers if they could show me a ring I wanted (placed in the window) and she was unprofessional even though she opened it for another person, right in front of me. Then pointed to the back of the store that it was placed there, knowing I’m unable to find it when you have millions of items in your store. Don’t go here! They are rude and don’t make you feel comfortable.

Unbelievable unique collection of silver jewelry and pieces all from the south asia nepal-mongolia area. The Wonderfull woman that is the owner i think told me the store exist since 55 years ago. The shop attracted me for the variety and beauty of some jewels. A few days ago a sales assistant served me but, since I couldn't pay by credit card, I had to postpone the purchase of three bracelets and a silver necklace. Of course there was a small discount, just because I was paying in cash. Unfortunately today I met the owner, flanked by another lady, I asked with difficulty for the jewels set aside for me, but she knew nothing about it. They had rightfully been returned for sale as it had been two days. But I was annoyed by the listless and annoyed attitude of the lady who didn't seem to be there to help a customer. Furthermore, the price of the series had increased by a good 75 euros and I'm sure of it because it was all written on a piece of paper. In conclusion, the discounts are not mandatory but apply to customers in the negotiation phase, but not because you are obliged to pay in cash and apply a discounted price only for the seller who has many expenses and taxes. Then we know that they are not locally handcrafted objects, but from foreign suppliers where prices often fluctuate a lot with respect to the end user. Apart from the fact that I would never buy anything again, such was the ignorance and sufficiency with which I was treated. Forgive my frankness, but today you proved that you really don't know how to be in public! NEW MESSAGE Friday 9 June 2023: Dear lady, I believe that the incorrect and approximate person is you. I don't have to pick up where and how you say. She causes the customers an impediment because here you pay by credit card even for the tram ticket. Furthermore, the discount was offered to me with the bracelets, but if I also bought the necklace, I would have been given good treatment. The prices are the ones I told you because I wrote them. And she spoke from the top of her desk, not even intervening for 5 minutes. If you had given me time equal to the length of this review, I might have changed my mind. I was obsessed with this jewelry shop on my recent visit to Amsterdam. Amazing selection and wonderful staff that is helpful and patient. Would recommend this as a stop on your visit to the area.

First visited the store and Amsterdam back in 2008 and fell in love. I still wear those earrings. This visit I brought my daughter and she loves the store as much as I!! Such a unique place and reasonably priced for what they sell. Bought a pair of earrings for me, my daughter, and my best friend. ❤️
