I Love Amsterdam! The canals are incredible especially when taking a guided ride in a boat. The architecture and scenery is breathtaking. While walking be aware of surroundings and walk in the correct places because people ride bicycles as fast as a car and zip past. Many cafes and restaurants with delicious pastries and flower and vegetable stands to see after that canal ride. Don’t forget to take a tour of the Red Light District which is a well known tourist attraction. Tours can be scheduled if going to just see it at night alone as a woman expect to be approached by tourists visiting the area. A simple no does the trick or call your “husband”or wave to him who can be no one and they will go about their business. I would recommend a tour or going with someone if site seeing at night. My favorite part are all the Canals! The 4 stars is due to the bicycles everywhere driving faster than the delivery guys on bikes in NY. Don’t get ran over!

Nice experience especially if you have good guide. We took Heineken Experience tour together with beer factory visit which was perfect combination.

Absolutely charming! My family spent close to 3 days exploring streets adjacent to the water and we felt there are lot more to be discovered. Make sure you have proper footwear if you plan to walk a lot since majority of the walk path are cobblestones.

Can’t explain the beauty of these… When you think about Amsterdam, you think Tulip gardens- Windmill or Canals and building around it. Yeah and after coming here, it did not disappoint me. There are 2 Amsterdam, one is at Dam’s square and the other is on the bank of these canals. Totally different from each other. There are 165 Amsterdam canals combine for a length of over 100 kilometers (about 60 miles). The Canal Ring became part of the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2010. Amsterdam got its name from the Amstel River. And hard to believe but it has 3 times more bridges (1281 bridge) than Venice (409 bridge) also there are 2500 houseboats in Amsterdam. Bridges on the canals, they have similar characteristics. Bicycle on the railing, flower pots, and canals. That’s picture-perfect scene and that’s Amsterdam identity. There are a few spots that are totally mesmerized. Near Anne frank house ( Jordaan Area) or central station. Some spots are just amazing. You just wanna sit at the edge or take some cruise tour or sip coffee in one of the 100s cafes near to canals. Jordaan's restaurants and cafes have become a trendy place to sit and people-watch while enjoying traditional Dutch folk music. In the night, you just wanna sit and admire the beauty of the city and its canals. pro Tip - check out the building near the central station. these are the place for Insta pictures

The canals of Amsterdam are beautiful. We did the Hoho boat which was packed so we did not get to sit next to each other. I would recommend a smaller tour.

You can see the cute canals in everywhere in Amsterdam. I visited there to see them. The movie," the fault in our stars " pushed me to go and visit there. The movie is romantic and drama. The Amsterdam canals and the theme of the movie are harmonized. It makes me mournful. However, Amsterdam is expensive in visiting and worth doing it. If you live in Europe and easy to go Amsterdam, please, visit there right now. See the Van Gogh museum, it was only 19 euro from the machine in front of the museum's entrance, and buy some gifts for fun.

Enjoy the relax time in Amsterdam. Free your mind is very easy, just take a boat and experience the historic building, gone by the wind. Try the different life style here, you will love it.

Beautiful and lovely place to visit in the centre of Amsterdam city especially during a sunny day. Might be useful to also carry an umbrella as the weather can be quite unpredictable. Don't forget to take a selfie with the bikes at the iconic spot on the bridge.

Crazy and beautiful city! Birds and ducks 🦆 The cutest creatures until the moment they see that you have food. In 10 seconds, a hundred of them arrive, demanding to feed them 😂

Lovely time walking around the canals today. Great place for families and couples but beware of the many cyclists.

Beautiful place summer or winter. Dutch always very friendly and welcoming, can't do enough for you. We make a point of going to Red Light District just for a look around as it's different every time. First time there was my first year of marriage 1977 as we lived in Germany with army at the time so not expensive to go. After 44yrs marriage we still enjoy Holland in general.

Amsterdam’s canals and canal cruise are a world-famous tourist attraction. There are more than 160 canals in Amsterdam stretching over 100 kilometers (that’s around 60 miles) We took a Canal Cruise and it was such an amazing experience to explore the city through the canals Some of the most beautiful scenes can only be experienced through a canal cruise, something I would highly recommend. 👍

The typical Amsterdam canal houses that are so pretty! Too bad I didn't have the time to visit the canal house museum to see the interior from centuries ago. However, seeing them from the outside and visiting some modernized cafe in between, are pleasurable indeed!
