Been to many boat rides BUT this one was the best! All the thanks to the king of the canals Captain Renee! Super humerus and great story teller! The ladies also super friendly!

The staff is incredibly friendly and engaging with customers. However, it is expensive compared to the other canal tour options. I was expecting a bit more from them because of that; 20euro, others are 12-14euro. There have been other canal tours I’ve been on that have done a better job with sharing a information and stories of Amsterdam and I paid significantly less.

This is a relaxed 1 hour experience along the canals. Price is 18 eur for the regular ticket without drinks. We sat comfortably behind the helmsman and enjoyed the ride. The 3 crew members were very friendly and told us stories of Amsterdam and the sights and buildings we were passing along the way. The boat in total can take around 20-30 guests. We found this more enjoyable than the other large touristic bus type boats, with closed ceiling, that you can take from the canal in front of the central station.

Booked a different boat tour but they left before the specified time as they apparently wrongly thought everyone was accounted for. However, the captain of a Floating Amsterdam boat saw us stranded and told us to hop on their boat instead. A dire situation averted and we had a blast on this boat, with great commentary, cheese and free flowing alcohol and drinks Didn't have to pay as I think they sorted it out with the original tour company Thanks! It made our first day in Amsterdam memorable

The cruise was not that great because we expected more light and show. The drinks were okay. Luckily I was with my friends so we had fun despite everything.

What a great experience! I'm glad a friend insisted to do it. I was afraid it was a tourist trap and that I would get sick, but none of those revealed to be true. Our guide, Stan, was just super cool and very interesting. I highly recommend these services for a friendly, family or romantic excursion!

It was quite a misty night so the photos don't do the light exhibition justice, but we had a really great time. We arrived at the location (be there 15 minutes earlier they said) and saw a line across the street from the boats. They called my name and we boarded with about 20 something people. It was really cold, but we had a fleece blanket and some Gluwein to keep us warm. Dress warmly because the boat is uncovered! The tour guide was nice, entertaining and played music to accompany the light show. We had bottomless drinks, I had 2 glueweins, a red wine and a rose, more than that you surely don't need for the duration of this trip. The server lady Mabel was kind and kept filling our cups, you can ask if her if you'd like another drink. I only saw chocolate kruidnoten as snacks so eat something before the boat trip. I didn't mind not having snacks because the point was the boat trip. The evening had no issues and that's why I gave 5 stars.

Unfortunately we were really unlucky with the weather, but the captain and the "bar tender" had a great time and showed us around all the sights.

The experience was great because we got good weather and the boat was open. It could be better if it had a little guided tour.

Your employees seem to not be aware that bike parking racks they work near with are actually for parking the bikes. If you can kindly explain this to the employee who worked on Sunday April 17th around 11:50, that would be awesome. He said to park at some other rack as he needed space and started intimidating me after I refused to comfort him. I will also send a note to Gemeente if this won't fixed. Thank you

A perfect boat to entertain corporate events, the boat is very quiet (electric) so having a conversation at 1,5 meters is no problem. Professional staff, great response, good food and enough selection of drinks. Offers the option to onboard at a selected area.

We ended up on this boat after another company scammed us, and it couldn’t have been better! Renee, our guide, was extremely funny and explained us about every art from the lights festival and also about the landmarks of the city! Definitely recommend it :)

I did the booking online directly with them and was easy and fast. The boat it is pretty comfortable, the tour guides are very kind and funny, you can get drinks on the boat, relax yourself and just enjoy the amazing landscape of the Amsterdam canals.

Boat tour was lovely and scenic. Our guides were very knowledgeable, and were able to point out interesting landmarks, accompanied with some weird and wacky facts. They weren’t overbearing through, and got the balance right between talking and letting us enjoy the view. Drinks served on the boat were good, and not too expensive. Boarding was easy, with the company emailing you specific instructions once you’ve purchased a ticket where you’ll get picked up from. Overall, a great experience and good value!

We specifically looked for an "open boat" tour, as I had been on tours in the past both open and covered boats. Hint: covered boats are comfortable but the views can be very compromised and less enjoyable. There was no rain and no wind the night of our tour, yet the boat was COVERED! What a huge disappointment. The experience was made worse by the host who would stand in the way of the only open panel and block the view during the few seconds we could actually see out of the boat directly. To be honest, I would otherwise give these guys 5 stars happily. The narrative was nice (by a local!). There were good drinks and service with a smile. The boat was nice and comfortable. I just can't give more than three stars due to false advertising. Very disappointed.

This is probably the best guided canal tour in Amsterdam! The boat was spotless and in great condition, the seats comfortable and the atmosphere on the boat was welcoming and laid back. We were traveling with a small child and a baby, and Jim made sure we had everything we needed, being extremely attentive throughout the entire tour. I am so glad we chose this company for our trip! A prerecording isn’t quite the same as a live commentary and we would always choose Floating Amsterdam again.

Great staff both in the office and on board. We had to reschedule at the last minute because of my companion feeling sick and it was no problem. The second attempt was during a bad storm and all other customers had canceled but the crew still took us on a great tour and did everything possible to make it a great experience. I would recommend this company to everybody.

Thoughtful, friendly, and excellent value. We had a holiday tour of the Amsterdam light festival and guides were knowledgeable of the artists and themes. They also curated songs to correspond to each installation.

Always great to be on their boat. Although I live here, this is the boat service I usually take my guests when they visit Netherlands. Hospitable staff always there to welcome you.

The best way to see Amsterdam. 1 hour trip with bar on board. Very well priced 18 euro for the hour and comfortable open top boat. Guide was hilarious - we had a good laugh.

I’ve been to Amsterdam a few times and each time gone on a different canal cruise but can honestly say that Floating Amsterdam is the absolute best. It feels more personal that some of the bigger tours and learnt so much more about the history of Amsterdam. Definitely 5/5 stars and recommend to anyone.

It was a great tour. Everyone on the boat was lovely. We has an unlimited drinks option which was definitely worth it. Would definitely do it again when we come back to Amsterdam and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We had a one hour tour with Floating Amsterdam at the beginning of May. It is beautiful , open boat , I think i t is the best boat in Amsterdam. The boats are open with beautiful cushions. The guys who conducted the tour Jari and Rene were amazing They made sure we had the most enjoyable experience . My Ukrainian mum had just arrived to safety and when I told Jeri she was Ukrainian he brought a nice glass of wine on the house for her, It was a really nice touch. They knew a lot about the history of Amsterdam and delivered it with a good sense of humour. I would definitely book floating Amsterdam on my next tip . They are the !Thank you Rene and Jari

Had a great a canal tour! The guide is knowledgeable and humorous, and the staff is nice. You can enjoy a Heineken and great view on board at the same time.

We did a one hour tour with Floating Amsterdam on Saturday 21 May and we had an excellent time. We opted for the Luxury VIP package which includes cocktails and it was 100% worth it, definitely recommend. Captain Erik was the best. He did a fantastic job of keeping us entertained while we went down the canals. Sara was a wonderful bartender and made the best “smooth and stormies” (rum + ginger beer). They are both locals from Amsterdam and know a lot of about the city and it’s history. We really enjoyed this tour, it was the highlight of our trip and an excellent way to relax while seeing taking in the beauty of Amsterdam. The pickup location is very convenient, located right in the center. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone looking for a nice activity to do while in Amsterdam.
