Extremely tastefully furnished old Dutch house (our kids and us loved the Green Room!) in a stunning setting on the lake in a beautiful little town (go for a walk!) just outside Amsterdam. The hosts are amazing and there's a different, freshly made, delicious breakfast dish every morning. If you're there, don't miss out on their delicious dinner and a boat ride through the canals. We'll be back!

The hosts were really helpful and welcoming. He carried the suitcase up the steep staircase. The bedroom and bathroom were very tastefully decorated. A blend of modern and vintage. Although it was very hot when we visited, the ac worked perfectly and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every day and they accommodated our dietary requirements. The kids enjoyed sunbathing on the grass looking out to the lake and the jacuzzi too. I would highly recommend having a massage whilst you are there. The masseuse is top notch!

We stayed here a full week (back and white room) and the Inn on the Lake is nothing short of fantastic. -The staff was flat out amazing (friendly and warm). -Breakfast was 5-star -We had a culinary dinner which was also 5-star -Highly recommend a massage We had one of the best couples vacation ever and will be back!

My girlfriend and I found this place at short notice, and we were not disappointed! It was pretty much exactly what we were looking for; a lovely, quintessential Dutch village, next to a large body of water, with a hot tub and a gorgeous place to stay at. We arrived and was greeted by Tim; he gave us a quick tour of the property, including our room, and gave us recommendations for walks and places to eat. Both walk and meal were fantastic. We were able to book their little spa for 2 hours, which is right on the waterside; after opening the doors to the water, we were greeted by the moon, while enjoying the hot tub. The room itself was lovely, with good AC, a super comfortable bed and a freestanding bath. In the morning we were greeted by a delicious breakfast and eventually our paddle (SUP) boards that we arranged previously. All in all, a lovely overnight stay. 10/10, would recommend.

It was an excellent stay with a warm welcome of the owners, exceeding the dutch hotel/B&B standards in many ways. It was different because of the design of the rooms and especially the used materials, the location, breakfast etc. We will definitely return. Be aware that the the Inn is located in a small but very idyllic village, so a car or some sort of transportation will be convenient.

We had the most amazing time here. The hosts were so wonderful and dinner was beyond incredible, and that’s before you get to the views! We got some bikes out for a day which was amazing, and we had dinner one of the evenings which is well worth doing! I also got an amazing hot stone massage during my stay which was 10/10. It’s such an idyllic spot and only 20 minutes (at most!) away from Amsterdam centraal station on the bus which you can get a 3 minute walk away. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Such a quiet, quaint village. The Inn on the Lake is an amazing place to visit and stay. Defiantly enjoy the breakfast, it’s a great start to the day. We stayed in the black & white room which is the nicest room we have ever stayed in, tastefully decorated and very well executed. Thank you Inn on the Lake, well done!!!

This historic vicarage turned guesthouse is a hidden gem! The rooms are refined and comfortable, and the setting is tranquil and serene. The garden is a highlight, with stunning views of the lake. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend!

Amazing inn. Definitely recommend the breakfast, which is generously served, cooked with care, and different everyday. We opted to have the breakfast for both of our mornings even though it wasn't included.

Totally beautiful! comfortable beds, wonderful interior decor, great team who make you feel welcome and at home. Great location for relaxing and reading, visiting volendam and edam (as well as Amsterdam). Can't recommend enough!
