MAY 2023 - Nothing to do with the previous establishment it seems. Super disappointing experience: little value for money. Almost 11€ for 3 table spoons of sauce (and not even good ones) and one industrial puffy pita cut in 4 triangles. Almost 22€ for a plate of fermented veggies (super small portions, barely 200g total), the same industrial puffy pita bread and a small cup of hummus. Undercooked, doughy pretzel. The sweet fries were good, so was the Barbershop - and reasonably priced. Staff looked frustrated - especially in the kitchen. Really don’t recommend - it feels as if the owners have hiked the prices and cut down on the quality and quantity as a quick way to get higher margins to finance the rebuilding of the restaurant but if they continue this way, they’ll completely destroy the trust of their customers and no one will dare to return once it’s back. Suicidal.

Used to be really nice, unfortunately now it’s a selfservice beer garden with a long queue and a very mediocre selection of beers. Much better options in the area. Food unfortunately is quite average too, a little too much money for not great food (12 euros for a single piece of average corn 🤷🏼‍♂️).

The place is really cool with an awesome atmosphere and a nice mix of customers! Service was a bit slow, but the food was nice. I would have liked a couple more meat options, but it’s nice that there is something for everyone.

The whole neighbourhood is such a cool area, old warehouse and shipyards turned into cafés, restaurants, theatres etc. The Noorderlich café was one of my favourite places there, really something else, and the area by the beach with the stage is great to relax. The ferry to get from Amsterdam Centraal to the NDSM neighbourhood is for free by the way, so makes it quite comfortable to get there. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little spot near the NDSM wharf. Outdoor seating with a great view of the passing boats. I had the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries which was surprisingly very tasty, and the bun was delicious. Highly recommend

Fab cafe / bar serving drinks food with DJ. We went late afternoon and it was booked fully from 6pm - so must be popular for sunset and sun downers. It’s got a hippie / boho type vibe, - but felt a little too busy for replaced vibes. Perhaps too popular for its own good! Prices were more expensive than I expected. Great place and highly recommended.

Love this place, great vibe! The food is pretty good overall, but i do have to say the eggplant was not good... It was basically raw and completely dipped in spices like cinnamon. I understand what they were trying to do with the indian inspired flavors but this dish is just wrong. I could not eat it and hope they take it off the menu. BUT great sweet potato fries!

This latest version is unfortunately not as charming as the previous one.. hopefully they can start construction soon and get us the Noorderlicht we loved.

One of the better places in NDSM. Small, affordable, great vibe, friendly staff and mainly good people. Live music on some events. Also great for families.

This is one of my favourite cafés in Amsterdam. Very alternative and attractive. Decoderated with repurposed material and artifacts, the café has an inviting environment. The menu matches the decoration with authentic dishes and fancy drinks. The staff are friendly and the food is fresh and delicious.

Wow, what happened to you guys? Over 30min waiting in the queue to make an order and then over 10min waiting to get 2 beers tapped. After realising that the beer cost €9 all I wanted to do is leave and never come back. Service is awful, staff is unfriendly and incompetent. Insanely overpriced. For the north side these prices are unacceptable. Actually for any side of the city it’s unacceptable. I think you can get cheaper beer in the heart of the city centre. I used to love this spot. It’s all gone. Never going back there. I’d rather get a drink at AH and sit by the water. Oh, almost forgot to mention this. We were extremely thirsty as we didn’t have any water with us all day, and when we asked for a glass of tap water we were refused to be given it for free. Because apparently there’s no running water. I understand, but how does the staff drink and clean? Charging for water that is not bottled is a crime against humanity. Especially when the beer costs 9 euros. Disgraceful. One more thing! Please remove your old pics from your socials because its confusing people that have never been there yet. It doesn’t look anything like it. Don’t be fooled.

Fine place on the north side of Amsterdam. Chill out spot when the weather is nice. Interesting menu with new twists on dutch classics, e.g. seaweed and vegetable bitterballs. Worth the ferry ride.

Beers are nice. Very busy most of the times but in a good way. Sweet potatoes were really gross and made me go a bit sick. It had a soap taste.

Interesting food, very tasty moussaka but grill meat was too hard, too dry and too cold. Although general impression 4,5/5

Awesome to have real German beers in Amsterdam!!! (Weirdly enough, its very rare) Nice location, delicious beers, quick self service! I would have given 5 stars, if the fries didn't taste so weird. Bitterballen were good! But I guess we were unlucky but the fries had a really bad after taste for some reason. Still... would recommend! (Just check your fries guys)

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
