Wonderful little restaurant in downtown Amsterdam. Food is really tasty and fair priced. Portions are good sizes. Staff is super friendly and fun. Service is quick. We had a quick bite before visiting a concert, but wished we could stay a little longer, so I'll be back! Both for locals and tourists well recommended.

Great selection of vegan burgers and sharers. The Smokey Temple Burger and Crispy Chicken burger are delicious, rich, juicy, and flavourful. Not much of a salad person but the lettuce was the nicest I've ever had on a burger too! Shared the Bitterballen and wish we'd ordered the biggest portion. Really nice cocktails, a properly made Long Island Ice Tea is hard to find in 2023. Service was great as well. Very quick and friendly staff and environment. Only doing a short visit and already wondering if we can go again before we leave

We were well welcomed by the waiter, he was nice during all the diner. We are not vegan at all but we wanted to try to discover. We were impressed by the food quality and the similarities with the "real" burger. I enjoyed the falafel burger which is very good. Sweet potatoe fries are awesome. We highly recommend this place.

Vegan ch*cken satay bowl was unbelievably good! So flavorful. 10/10 would come here again. Convenient walk from the museums and great outdoor seating for people watching.

Fabulous vegan treats served by very friendly staff that make you feel at home. All washed down by an ice cold beer, other beverages are available from the comprehensive menu. Sweet potato chips are amazing.

We had dinner at this amazing vegan place and it was sooo good! Right in the center of the city, it's easy to reach by foot from the museums areas for example. Inside it's just so nicely decorated, walls are so vibrant! The guys who served us were very nice too. The menu is wide: burgers, bowls, wraps, snacks. We took a burger and a "chicken" bowl, and we were both so satisfied with them and the portions. It's a little bit expensive for my standards, but it was so worth it.

We had a vegan & gluten-free burger, a wrap and fried vegan meatballs. The food was good but also nothing special. Service has some room for improvement because we had to wait a long time before we got any menu although the restaurant was not very busy.

The motto is "eat vegan live long" and I can absolutely confirm this statement. Eating in the vegan temple bar was a welcome break exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam. The Avocado burger, the monster wrap and as well as the sweet potato fries were awesome and delicious. The service was excellent. Even our dog got something to drink! Thank you!

We’ve had a dinner twice here during our trip. The food is tasty, you can choose from deep fried junk food to a bit healthier options such as bowls. My favourite was a loaded fries, but “poke” bowl was a good option for a second visit to have a rest from junk stuff. Well, I don’t know what to expect from a ginger tea, but noticed that here it is just basically sliced ginger in hot water - almost no taste. When I make it at home I blend it for a rich taste.

Wonderful! Please go to this all vegan restaurant. Choices of delicious burgers, wraps, sides... We had burgers on pink/ black bread ( a crispy "chicken" and a smokey bbq burger) avocado fries + dips, and nachos to share. Nice portions! Helpful friendly and all smiling waiter, and a gifted cook in the kitchen... Thank you vegan temple bar from 2 french tourists ❤️

Es war sehr lecker und gemütlich. Der Kellner war sehr lustig und bemüht. Die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und mit ausreichend Alkohol. Wir haben dort, nach einem langen Tag, dort zu Abend gegessen und hatten sofort einen sehr schönen Tisch.

10 star service! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when visiting Amsterdam again. The owner was extremely hospitable; went above and beyond bringing me a free slice of cake with a sparkler candle for my birthday. Many food options, all of which we selected were unique and delicious.

The food is ok, but there are better vegan restaurants in Amsterdam. The waiter was friendly, but forgot to clean the table properly when he accommodated us, and nowadays, during a pandemic, it is of great importance to clean regularly all surfaces.

As a vegan, the thought of travelling around Europe is somewhat worrying when a lot of countries follow meat, pastry and dairy heavy diets. Before visiting Amsterdam I made sure to make a list of vegan-friendly restaurants. The Vegan Temple Bar was my favourite of all. They offer a range of delicious food in a beautiful restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It has a lovely atmosphere and great food. I recommend the sweet potato fries because they're simply the best. I will tell non-vegans to visit too, you will not be disappointed. Please visit and spread the love for The Vegan Temple Bar.

Walking around Amsterdam hungry late at night and found Vegan Temple Bar. I have a gluten allergy and dairy allergy so it’s not always easy to find places that can accommodate. The manager was super friendly and assured me all food was vegan (dairy free for me!) and many dishes could be prepared gluten free. He recommended the falafel bowl and I ordered it with fries. The food was delicious! The bowl had a lot of fresh veggies and a good portion of rice and falafel. Fries were salted perfectly and the right amount of crispy. They were supposed to be closing at 11 but a few parties showed up last minute. The manager didn’t turn them away, but invited them in and happily walked them through the menu. Great experience overall.

For a vegan chicken burger (and also, not being a vegan personally), it really tasted like some good fried chicken! I respect the owner and chef for making it such a cool culinary experience. We tried the nachos, too, but the vegan cheese sauce tasted a bit too synthetic. I must say, it's the first fully vegan restaurant we've been too with friends and it was a good time!

Overall, this place is nice. The waiters were really friendly and the food was amazing. The place itself is decent. Also, everything is kind of expensive.

great vegan restaurant with traditional Dutch delicacy, bitterballen (i think made with eggplant?) pictured here. the honey mustard sauce for it was really delicious. wasabi sushi bowl nicely presented and the salmon texture is very good. the chicken satay loaded fries however was too sweet, i couldn't finish it. it was not satay sauce, but more like sweetened peanut butter. the red onion saved it somewhat. i would ask for this dish again but with the honey mustard sauce, as the fries and chicken were really good.

We found this place accidentally and fell in love with it. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Loved the ambiance in the restaurant as well, and the staff was friendly.

Incredible vegan burger/junk food bar! I got the falafel burger which was very nice, my partner a swarma chicken wrap and we shared the cheesy bacon fries! Absolutely incredible and a lovely area outside to sit on a nice sunny day. Really recommend to try whilst in Amsterdam - not too far from the Rijksmuseum!

Great atmosphere, we visited as a party of four the evening after running Amsterdam Half Marathon. Booked a table for the evening which was simple. Comfortable seating, good lighting, relaxing environment. Menu is diverse, I was really happy with the Seaweed Burger and Vegan Seafood platter (calamari/sashimi/shrimp substitutes which were great). Staff were friendly, attentive. We were there for 3 hours and had a good chat and laugh, were never made to feel rushed. If there was a single downside, was that the brownie dessert was a little small portion for the price. Otherwise, I think the price and portions of the main meals was good. Would definitely visit again!

Delicious vegan restaurant! We tried the bitterballen and it was so delicious! The “calamari” was ok - I’d choose bitterballen again! We also shared a falafel wrap and took a brownie home with us. So decadent! More truffle like in its consistency and flavor. Everything we tried was well prepared, well presented and nicely flavored. Wonderful staff and great atmosphere.

Great food.portions are not so big. The burger felt like a light version. Clean tables.

Ilia was the best waiter. He was very funny and friendly. Quite charming! Really enjoyed the food, especially the starters. Wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely use the restaurant again. Thank you! I gave you full five starts for everything, however if I was to be very picky I'd rather dishes didn't have names that referred to meat that I really fine want to have. Can't you find me creative whole plant based names? Wonderful tastes x

A definite recommendation for everyone to visit this place. My wife is a vegetarian and I try to as much as possible, but this place will make everybody happy. I tried the Smokey tempel burger with the sweet potato fries and my wife had the classic burger. Both were amazing by taste and even juicy! Besides the good food, the staff “Markus” was super friendly and helpful. Also the price was very reasonable. We’ll definitely come back.

Been there for a quick bite, I had a shawarma and my husband had a falafel burger , they were delicious!! The service is great, the area is busy.

Highly recommended! I loved eating here. The loaded fries were really good. My brother enjoyed the chicken burger although the patty could have been a little bit crispier. My classic burger was perfect. We left this restaurant full and happy.

I used to be a regular customer here, great food. However, I will never go back here again. I was with two friends, we ate three hamburgers, my friends order a few beers, etc. (The bill was about 80 euros) I didn't feel like a beer, I asked for a glass of tap water. They didn't want to serve me that, they only sell water. You will never see me again!

Loved to sit at the terrace for dinner. Amazing vegan nachos. Delicious poke bowls. Speechless for the pancakes, vegan Stroopwaffles and cheesecake. 😍😍😍😍 Will be back for sure!

For any other meat eaters looking to try something vegan this is a good Place to start. Very nice burgers and the loaded fries are deliciously crispy fries. We were very happy witch the food and will be back.

Nice restaurant, nice food! Their veggie Burgers are made by Beyond Meat Brand so they are tasty. I had their food 2 times. The very last time there was a horrible smell from the toilets that literally killed all my happiness towards their burger! :-/ but the other time they delivered it to my place and that was a nice one.

Falafel bowl with, a side of sweetpotato fries and a ginger tea was my meal, and it was delicious! So colorful, so filling, the place’s got a very welcoming atmosphere, they play cool music and the service is sweet and friendly. Highly recommend, come and eat vegan!
