Best bread I found in Amsterdam! The sesame one and the spelt sourdough are just delicious, and the sweet treats are soooo good too. LE: fast forward few months later- this place has changed team, but all for the best- new bakery products, great Japanese matcha latte, lovely atmosphere and friendly faces :) Same awesome bread❤️

Amazing bakery created by 3 cool cats with a love for the finer things in life. If you ask me you can taste the soul in every single bread they make!

Really nice hipster looking place with great coffee selection and great pastries, for good prices. One of the best bakery/coffee places in De Pijp. Surely worth a visit. Really nice and helpful personel. Almond blueberry tart is top notch. Strongly recommend it!

Very cute and hidden cafe. But the first look from outside lies. The pastry is very well made, fresh and yummy. The coffee is made professional and has a very good taste. There are also Chai tea, Japanese Matcha tea and different tea sorts. These are done also very good and taste really good. Every Beverage is also in Soy- and Oatmilk alternative available. The staff is nice and helpfull and the cafe feels very comfortable. All in all highly recommended.

I sometimes come here to buy bread, but I also love having tea in the lovely ambiance of this shop.

Strong coffee, great waking up place since it opens early. Being an Italian, I liked their espresso very much. All bread is made by hand and even if someone said here that it costs a little more, I'd rather give a tiny extra because it tasted heavenly, from the sourdough to the baguettes, which are French style, plus it is truly artisanal. Better come early as the bread gets sometimes sold out. I recommend the pistacchio/white chocolate wheel as it is not too sweet, just right, and the almond pastry with blueberries.

i genuinely in love with this place. it’s a very simple and fair designed bakery/cafe with amazingly delicious pastries and bread. plain croissant is just great, flaky, a bit buttery, decent size and smells like heaven. there are plenty other things to try and I highly recommend this hidden Albert Cyup gem 💎

A pretty decent bakery near the market. I find the breads a slight bit expensive for the usual boulangerie fair but at least the Danish bread was wonderful. The place is dog-friendly and even offers a water bowl to your furry friends. The coffee was nothing extraordinary but out matcha latte and chai latte were delicious ! 💖 We saw the lady preparing it by hand, and it was not too sweet like how most cafés make the mistake of making matcha lattes a tad bit on the sweet side. Servers were sweet and nice.

The cruffin was ok but the savory pastry was terrible, unfresh and cold. The atmosphere is quite bad, the kitchen is completely connected to the dining area, quite noisy and crowded.

So delicious. Staff so personable and connected to the place. Feels real. Smells amazing. Door is open today and a cool breeze is blowing in. Someone is whistling. I couldn’t be happier. (On a practical note Pain Swiss just right light eggy not too sweet. Yesterday an avocado and scrambled egg toastie on sourdough with little bits of greens and lovely veg on the side. *mwaaaa!)

Probably the best croissants I ever had, plus great coffee. They produce their breads and croissants in house. Fantastic 👍

Amazing vibe, pastries, staff, baguette. Very cosy to also sit and enjoy your coffee when it's cold outside. Such a hidden jem of Albert Cuyip. Advice for clients: please close the door after you enter. The staff, the bread and the people enjoying their time there don't deserve to stay in the cold.

Without doubt my favorite bakery. You can feel and taste that everything from the bread to the pastries in handcrafted and done so with a lot of effort and care. I come here every time I'm in the area and never once have been disappointed with anything. The staff is friendly and clearly love what they do. The place is cozy and smells like fresh bread which you can see being made in the back, what more can you ask for.

Amazing croissant and pain au chocolate. Espresso was good too. Nice selection of pastries and breads but be quick, they sell out frequently.

Food: 5/5 ⭐️ Price: 5/5 ⭐️ Service: 5/5 ⭐️ When the viral sensation of a circle stuffed croissant took over social media, my quest for this culinary delight led me to a charming bakery tucked away in Amsterdam. This place is a quintessential hidden gem, with an interior that radiates warmth and coziness, further enhanced by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods. The staff's warmth and kindness contribute significantly to the welcoming atmosphere, making every customer feel right at home. My visit was driven by the allure of the famed croissant, and Ooh boi Ooh boi. Despite transporting them all the way to the university, they maintained their perfect, crunchy crust, a testament to their quality. The filling was extraordinarily flavorful, as if each bite contained a drop of heavenly nectar. It was an experience that left me both completely satisfied and eagerly anticipating my next visit. This bakery is more than just a place to satisfy a trend-induced craving – it's a culinary experience that everyone should try at least once. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and the opportunity to relish in their delightful creations once more.

I tried their wheel croissant and their pão de queijo, I can say...👌👌👌👌 I went there when they open, very early in the morning, the smell of fresh bread was amazing! The cashier was nice. And of course, the food was really good, their wheel croissant are worth the hype indeed!!!!!

My favourite bakery in the Town! I always have pain au chocolat and a loaf of bread when have a chance to go there. If you want to try something different, you should definitely visit them on Saturday, they have a special “wildcard” for bread and is delicious.

Best bakery in Amsterdam. They bake the only truly authentic baguettes in town. The spelt sourdough is rich and exceptionally flavorful. All of their pastries are totally on point.

Being a home baker myself makes it difficult to enjoy any bread besides my own. But we make an exception with Rise. It's just amazing. Great variety and super friendly staff.

Amazing bread and pastries. We got breakfast items and coffee but needed more. We got biscotti and a baguette to go. Too bad we live 6000 miles away.

What I consider a sexy bakery: you want to get everything! - The Pistacchio Cruffin (€3) is very good, buttery, flaky and the Pistacchio creme is very good (not clangy-stick-to-your-mouth-roof). Could do slighly less sugar outside to make it less messy, but still very good. - The almond and blueberry tart (€3,5) is good, very delicate almond flavour. - The almond croissant (€3) was also delicious :-) Definitely Recommended!

Everything was so delicious. The cappuccino was excellent, I had to order two for myself 😄 the croissant was one of the best I ever had and the focaccia sandwich so yummy. Highly recommend.

I was recommended to go here by a friend. As a Portuguese, bread has been one of the things I miss the most, but finally I found VERY GOOD bread! I'll be returning multiple times for sure

We enjoyed finding this bakery near our hotel during our recent stay. Amazing pastries and treats that cater to the neighborhood (not franchised). The owners appear to do it all - bake and serve everything. The coffee was amazing too. Definitely recommend if in the area.

Best sourdough I've had in Amsterdam, and probably the best I've had anywhere. Pastries and other breads are also excellent. They could slightly improve on their coffee, but it's already pretty good. Anyway, love this place and I buy a big loaf of sourdough almost every week.

Great bakery without ridiculous price tags. Their gluten free brownies are totally fantastic and the 2 kinds of bread I have sampled were outstanding (and this comes from a French person 😄). Oh! I almost forgot: best almond croissant in the city.

Rise Bakery is the best bakery in Amsterdam. I shop there all the time, owners Marta and Alessandro are super nice. The assortment of pastries varies, so today for the first time I have tried the cruffin with mango-passion fruit creme and it’s absolutely magical!

👍 A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.
