Very, very impressive....for the relatives ✡ Subtle design with moving notes and white roses next to the stones. Think about what has happened and try to hold on to this feeling.....

Very interesting and different monument compared to the others. It perpetuates the Holocaust and its casualties. You can see the names and age of the victims engraved in the bricks. There are also white stones. The unique thing are the weird shaped mirrors.

An important memorial, always, but especially now. Very depressing to see all the names and know that behind every name there is a life not lived. The construction is impressive and immediately captivates you.

Stunning and halting - this monument is impressive and provides a unique layout that has you lost in the magnitude of the many people lost to this tragedy. The modern QR code system to find any name you are looking for is a very nice touch. A tasteful tribute

Impressive. Very simple and engaging. Walk atriums the brick walls and read the name, birthdate and age of death. It was designed by the famous architect Daniel Libeskind. The shape of the walls are Hebrew letters that spell ‘in memory of.’ I’ll bet it’s beautiful at night all lit up. There is very little information available on site, but they do have QR codes to scan to view info. I wish there was some free wifi available to view the info.

Very powerful stop when you're walking on your way to a local spot. The bricks are simple and the reflection of the metal is stunning. A very important stop!

An impactful and poignant monument that commemorates the victims of the Holocaust. This monument embodies the names, stories, and spirits of those lost, serving as a constant reminder of the need for peace and the prevention of such a tragedy from ever happening again. A wonderful place for reflection and paying respects.

This monument is of unmeasurable value and importance and is a must visit for everyone. The names of the never forgotten carry on the remembrance of the terrors. We should always keep in heart and mind: Never again.

Very relevant monument. Each brick represents a person, with his/her name. The mirrors at the top provide a unique feeling.

Very impressive monument with the names of the Dutch Jews who were murdered in the holocaust. Each brick has a name on it and the age of death. Very moving and emotional. So many names. We went there on the holocaust Remembrance Day and saw a lot of group and individuals. It also made read about the holocaust of the Dutch Jews. Never forget.

Impressive. More than 102,000 victims of the Holocaust have been given their own monument in Amsterdam after more than 75 years after the end of the Second World War.

Do not be indifferent when you hear lies. This is where conspiracies fueled by hate can lead us!

I was moved by the memorial. I didn’t know what to expect. Walking and reading the names in the bricks at the walls. I was overcome by emotions during and after, it took me a bit to recover. I recommend that people be prepared for the flood of emotions.

A very moving memorial to those who lost their lives in the Holocaust. The mirrors, the bricks with the names, the name walls in the shape of Letters, all well thought out and displayed. My regret is that I was not able to find out what the "names" are on the gate that is open during the day and closed at night. I think it camps that people were sent to but I couldn't confirm in my internet search.

Impressive and frightening. It's important to visualize something like this in a "plastic" way. It's sad how young some of the victims were. The complex is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We only “discovered” it based on a recommendation as it is located just outside the city center.

When you see all those names you realize how many people became victims of the Holocaust. Very impressive.

Impressive and moving - the names of over 100,000 people abducted and murdered. The monument immediately captivates you. It is still important, especially now, to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive in an easily accessible way.

Really recommend visiting and just take in the big, important and sad part of history that surrounds this place.

This monument give the feeling of what is the number of 104,000 and more people who were murder only because they were Jews. It's a must place to visit when you are in Amsterdam. The pictures can't give the real story and feeling as being there.

Difficult to appraise this monument. It lists in alphabetical order the Amsterdam Jewish that were killed by the nazis during the second world War; names, birth day and age at which they got killed. It is then easy to spot members belonging to one family that were killed, including children of only a few months of age. Leaves one wondering how this massacre could occur in Europe not that long time ago.

Hard to describe. Hard to endure. Just see for yourself how many lives have been taken and try to wrap your head around how this has happened. May this be a everlasting warning to each and everyone.

👍👍 Touching monument for 140 men executed during second world war by the occupier. Many of them were members of the resistance. I wasn't aware of the existence of the monument and came past it at a suiting moment, a couple of days after the yearly remembrance of the fallen, so there was a rose on each...
