When I visited I didn't get the scenery that I hoped for, since it was cold and extremely foggy, but it did allow for some good photos

The place looks quite impressive, but on the other hand it is a massive concrete construction in a nature park.

Wow. What a view and a great place for a walk, and who knows, if you are brave enough, a dip in the very cold mountain waters.

Pretty impressive dam. I hitchhiked up here with a French family and we had a great time. It's a worthy stop on the way to Torre on Serra da Estrela. Make sure to bring sun cream and a hat on a sunny day, as the water reflects the light pretty hard and you might burn very painfully. On the side of the funny house you can reach the water and stick your feet in for some ahhhh. Frogs night brother you lightly.

It's a cool place. Brutalism

Nice views of the big lake, but the most appealing “feature” is the lake beach, with lots of places to set your towel and have a dip. This is also the best place to start a trail to the Covão do Concho, since there is no road there.
