There are only 2 ways on this ride, wait in line to pay $20 for the Lighting Lane pass (note, this is not the regular Lightning Lane pass which costs $20 also for access to all the other rides that have passes.). None of the prior virtual lines are in effect any more. We did both. You can only buy the Lightning Lane pass after you have checked into the park. At 8:15 am we got a pass for 10 to 11 am time slot. You can only get this once per day. At 10am we activated the pass and were in the ride in 15 minutes. At 230 pm the regular line wait was only 50 minutes so we waited in line and got in again. It was as good as everyone has said.

This ride was very worth the wait! This is such a exciting experience, and very intense! Had 1 bad drop, and if I were you I would take children under 5 because, it’s very loud, lots of flashing lights and very intense! But for older people you HAVE to try this.

Disney imagineering at its finest. My new favorite ride at Disneyland. The attention to detail is mind boggling. The whole queue leading up to boarding the ride vehicle is another level of immersion yet to be copied by Disney’s universal counterparts. This ride made a Star Wars fanatic like me cry tears of joy. Bravo Disney!

This was a first rate ride. It takes an average of 65 minutes to get in using the stand by lane. A it’s a premium ride it’s an extra $25 per person to get the lightning lane. It’s worth it though even if you only go once. It’s essentially two rides joined that’s about 12 minutes of movie set quality and effects. Then it’s a ride that’s “ out of the world”. Loved it! Disney hit the mark on this for sure.

Easily the most immersive experience I have had on a ride. My biggest compliment, outside of the overall design of the ride, is the excitement and conviction the Disneyland employees bring to their roll on this ride. They add far more to the experience than I expected. The ride is amazing, so is waiting for the ride. I have never enjoyed standing in line and going into the waiting rooms quite as much as this ride. 10/10 experience, try to hop into a virtual queue for this one, it is far better than the Web Slingers one.

My goodness this is the best ride I’ve ever been! Felt like a real Star Wars rebel team. Starting from riding on the rebel ship and to be caught by the first order to be interrogated then escaping from the first order! The view here are breathtaking! First from being caught by the first order with 50 first order troopers in sight. Then walking inside the first order space ship, and when escaping we pass by the 2 story high All Terrain Mega Caliber and shooting at us! End with Kylo Ren chasing us with his cross light saber are both exciting and terrifying! The whole experience is so amazing! And we’re very lucky to not have to queue for this ride. Highly recommended!

This ride was amazing! So fun to be immersed in several different experiences - automation, virtual and real. Disney has out done themselves this time! This ride experience was almost 20 min long and felt like you were in the movie! Loved the life sized Imperial Walkers and every min of this ride!

one of the best rides at disneyland. they really make it feel like you're apart of it. the long line is worth it. during the line you can see very nice landscaping and decor which i enjoyed. there's also some seating areas in the line. i waited 70 minutes.

This ride is on another level compared to many others. I would recommend knowing as little as possible before going in to really experience the surprise and shock of what can be done for a single event. This generally has a long wait but worth it.

Amazing immersive Star Wars experience with rides taking you in the Star Wars movie. Line is usually very long but it’s worth the wait do not get intimidated with the wait time. They have build this massive structure like it’s happening actually. Definitely worth trying it’s got good star wars graphics and mini movies studios

The sense of scale and engineering of this ride are hands-down some of the best work Disney has ever done for a ride. From the multiple rooms to the changing scenes (I'm still wondering how they were able to "transport" us into the Imperial Star Destroyer), it follows a Star Wars plotline that makes you part of the resistance. While there is a long wait time without much to do while waiting in line, once the ride begins, there are a lot of immersive aspects and the cast members do a great job of acting out their roles. A spellbinding ride for any Star Wars fans out there.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an attraction at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, as well as at other Disney theme parks around the world. It is a highly immersive experience that puts visitors in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order. The attraction features a variety of thrilling elements, including a simulated spaceship ride, a walk-through attraction, and a variety of special effects. Visitors to the attraction can also meet and interact with a variety of Star Wars characters, including Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren. The attraction is one of the most popular at Disneyland, and is a must-see for Star Wars fans.

Title: An Out-of-this-World Experience Awaits at Rise of the Resistance! From the moment you step foot in the galaxy far, far away, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland California catapults you into an immersive storytelling experience like none other. It's not just a ride, but a breathtaking adventure that genuinely transports you into the heart of the Star Wars universe. As you navigate through the highly detailed environments, every element is designed with the legendary Star Wars essence. The attraction shows off state-of-the-art animatronics, incredible digital mapping, and exceptional special effects that make you feel as though you're truly a part of the Resistance, facing off against the formidable First Order. The cast members stay in character throughout the experience, adding a level of realism that helps completely immerse visitors in the storied universe. Whether you're a fervent Star Wars fanatic, or mildly intrigued by a galactic showdown, there's a universally engaging narrative that's accessible and thrilling. What genuinely sets Rise of the Resistance apart is how the lines between reality and fiction blur. The queue is more than a line; it's the beginning of your journey. A holographic Rey and BB-8 set the stage for your mission, escalating the excitement before you board your transport ship. And then there's the ride itself. A multi-ride system creates unique, captivating sequences that boast a perfect blend of traditional ride elements, innovative technology, and viably reactive simulations. The high-point is the epic, realistic battle, pitting the life-sized AT-ATs against our Resistance fighters, with you, as a rider, in the thick of it all. Six minutes of fantasy later, you are left with a thrilling sense of having lived a rollercoaster of emotions, of having participated in a legendary Star Wars story. This attraction doesn't merely entertain you; it captivates, astounds and leaves you longing for more. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance isn’t just a benchmark for Disneyland or even theme parks overall - It represents a new dawn for immersive storytelling. My only advice? Strap in and prepare to be astounded. It's a ride into space that you must experience This awe-inspiring attraction fully deserves a 5-star rating, or perhaps even a new rating system: 5 Stars isn't really enough!

Space mountain used to be my favorite ride but this is by far the BEST RIDE! We loved it so much we rode it twice in a row!

A very cool ride. It’s a full on experience of ride, videos, and cast member interaction. The technology of this ride seems to be the future of theme rides which are trackless.

It was really fun. As expected the ride was eternal and they closed the ride twice on Labor Day weekend. The ambience in the waiting line was not up to the Disney standard. It was kinda boring and not as immersive as avatar. The cast did a really good job being in character and the animatronics were better than expected. The hologram message from Rey was really good. When you get on the ship there are things to see at the front and back. Good luck getting the lightening pass.

Definitely one of my favorite rides in the park. About a 40 minute wait after rushing over at 8AM after parking opening. Loved the moving parts of the ride and the movement combined with the visuals was awesome.

Came here summer 2021 just when the crowds were returning post pandemic. The ride is well done but the lines were really long. Worth the price to pay for an otherwise aging theme park for die hard Star Wars fans.

Great ride, loves the immersiveness of this ride! From the cast members, to the projections, to the great room full of storm troopers…this ride was an absolute thrill! Oh and don’t worry about the drop at the end, I know some worry about that…it’s just enough that you feel it…honestly one of the least “jarring” rides here!

Favorite of all time in my opinion. This ride blew my mind away, its amazing how these carts havw no tracks to guide them and yet they are all in sync. It has amazing landscapes and great special effects. Is the only part of the park where the staff is rude to you, well guess what! That's part of the show.
