Sometimes,
you
really
just
get
what
you
pay
for...
My
husband
&
I
had
stayed
at
a
different
motel
on
Beach
for
around
the
same
price
&
it
was
great,
so
my
expectations
were
a
little
higher
than
they
should
have
been...
We
stayed
during
the
three
day
tropical
storm
in
08/2023.
The
room
was
pretty
disgusting.
The
first
thing
we
do
is
bleach
the
whole
room,
use
disinfectant
spray
on
the
bed,
&
sanitize
the
room
as
a
whole
(clean
light
switches,
door
handles,
floor,
etc.)
But
this
place
was
mildew
central.
I
can
still
smell
it,
despite
a
week
having
passed.
The
"dog
run"
was
just
a
massive
pile
of
feces,
&
I
firmly
believe
that
if
the
establishment
allotted
poop
bags,
maybe
ppl
would
actually
pick
up
after
their
dogs.
The
indoor
pool
looked
terrifying.
Roaches
&
bugs
ran
rampant
outside...
In
the
room
I
only
saw
a
couple
&
on
the
second
day
of
rain,
my
husband
opened
the
curtains
&
said,"well
here's
why
there's
a
roach
problem."
...
There
was
a
trash
can
directly
outside
our
window
that
towered
at
least
3ft
high,
accompanied
by
debris
scattered
beside
the
trash
can.
We
are
newly
homeless,
so
we
often
snag
the
cheapest
room
when
we
have
the
funds,
if
Beachside
happens
to
be
that,
we
will
most
likely
be
staying
here
again.
As
a
rule
to
everyone
who
stays
in
motels,
hotels,
resorts--
anywhere
that
isn't
"home;"
bring
your
own
cleaning
tools.
We
always
ALWAYS
have
Clorox
powder
bleach,
Marvicide
spray
(life
changing
cleaner),
Tide
or
Febreeze
fabric
disinfectant,
a
small
bottle
of
dish
soap,
a
couple
rags
&
a
scrub
brush
or
sponge
(dustpan/brush,
metal
bristled
brush,
&
paper
towels
are
also
a
good
addition)
on
us
AT
ALL
TIMES.
You
just
never
know
what
life
will
throw
at
you,
or
in
what
condition
your
sleeping
quarters
will
be
in.
