They have good food, but I will never eat here again. 1. We had reservations for 2 and needed to add one more chair, but we were told no. When we got there, there was plenty enough available seats to have one more chair. 2. We ordered coffee but told they didn't have any because the machine was broken. I've never heard of a restaurant not having coffee. 3. As soon as we were seated, we were told there was a 2 hour maximum time allotted. We weren't going to be there that long, but the negative energy that put out right when being seated was a turn off. 4. An automatic 18% gratuity for a group of 2 people is gouging. Most places do that for parties of 6 or more. 5. We asked to be seated outside and was told no because those seats were reserved. For the whole hour we were there those seats remained empty. 6. We placed our order to eat there and asked for an order to go. We were asked if the to-go order should be done now. We said no, wait until we were almost ready to go. Within 2 minutes of saying we were ready for the to-go to be made, it was at our table, which tells me they pre-made it anyway. 7. The to-go order was for a 6 piece of lemon pepper flat wings. There was a $3 up charge for flats. We didn't look at the order before leaving. Not only was it cold from being pre-made, but it was not flats, and it was not lemon pepper. My conclusion is the food is good, but the service is terrible. I will have to find another business to support. Our meal was $100 including the mandatory 18% gratuity.

Great experience, great find, food was really tasty. Tried the chicken and waffles. The chicken was very flavorful and the waffles were perfect. We didn't realize it was by reservation for brunch but they were able to accommodate. The music set the right vibe. Overall, it was a good experience.

Pros: food was great I had the shrimp and grits.. never disappoint. Fried devil eggs was also great. Waiter was super amazing ! He did the best he could and went above and beyond. Shout out to D. Cons: service was very slow. Took a long time to receive orange juice and first round of mimosas. Not enough space on patio area. Maybe remove a table I’ve been here about 3 times prior to this. The food is always amazing but the service is always always slow. Visited 03/4 and set the expectations to my friends that the service is slow. But this particular visit the service was extremely slow. We was seated immediately and the hostess told us that she would be back with the rest of our utensils and she never returned. We was sitting for like 15 mins until we flagged someone down. He stated he was unable to find anyone and that he would go ahead and assist us. Sat down at 1:20 didn’t receive any drinks until about 2 pm. 3 stars because food was good and waiter was good

Love the atmosphere here at Blaqhaus! Costumer service was great. Service staff was very attentive. I went on poetry open mic night. The energy was good and the poetry was entertaining.

Group of four female family members, all whom just travel to LA for my 60th birthday celebrations visited. We were all hungry after our flights and wanted to pay homage to a black owned establishment. It was disappointing. Our waitress Ms. Voo with the blue hair was unprepared, unpleasant, not forthcoming and so slow we wanted to request another waiter at a table near us who we observed giving excellent service. We determined since the place mandated an 18% gratuity charge no matter how small or large the group, the waitress felt she didn’t have to work too hard because she was guaranteed a tip. The bottomless drinks were watered down and she took over 10mins to return with a fresh glass. Those who ordered the drinks declined the service and only paid for 1 drink. The deep fried eggs appetizers tasted over cooked rubbery eggs. The shrimp & grits cheese tasted worst than the issued block government cheese, it was not good. Though I did enjoyed my burger with a fried egg and my daughter enjoyed her salmon croquettes. The waitress never checked to see if we needed anything, if we were satisfied with the food or offered alternatives. The table also was not cleared. We tried to be supportive but the owner needs to try at customer service if he wants the place to remain open. It’s too costly and too many other options to settle for less than quality service & food. Not a place to return to in its present state.

Please note that I've been on 2 separate occasions (brunch & dinner) Ambiance: The place is smaller than I thought, so make sure you have a reservation or can wait. Great music during brunch and the comedy show during dinner were pretty good. Service: Again, be prepared to wait. The Buffalo dip took like 40 minutes, but the wait staff was very kind. Food: The drinks were delicious; strong, sweet, and refreshing. The sliders were a favorite, but the cake didn't impress. Overall, I was fairly satisfied with everything. The parking lot is small, and street parking is available, but depending on the day/ time, it could be a headache.

We had a great time at BlaqHaus. We went for their happy hour and loved everything we ordered. Tasty Margs, an incredible burger, really delicious Mac & Cheese, and everything on the sampler (short rib & Mac eggrolls, wings, fries, fried deviled eggs) hit the spot too! We had a really nice time with friends and will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu soon.

My friend suggested this place to me so we (a party of 5) went for the first time last night and it was such a pleasant experience! Our server was Kay Dott who was down to earth, cracking jokes, gave organic vibes our entire dinner. And the bartender Gil *chefs kiss* to the drinks he made. Once I saw him shaking that shaker, I knew I was going to be lit! I made my brother drive me home after lol!!! But seriously everything was delicious! We had the catfish basket, greens, Cajun pasta, wings, ribs and the catfish sandwich and the deep fried Oreos. For drinks: I recommend the Jolly Rancher, Strawberry Margaritas and Once you go Blaq. Every plate was left empty. I plan to bring my mom the next time and try their brunch as well. I said all that to say this: you will not be disappointed!

I’ve found my new favorite spot to go to anytime I’m craving Southern cuisine. The catfish was spiced to perfection, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. With a touch of hot sauce and some greens, it was the perfect bite 🫶🏽 Service was slow and the food took some time to come out but our drinks helped with the wait.

Food was Amazing, service wasn’t great. We saw the bus boy more than our waiter and were asked for our party to leave while there were other people who were there longer an they weren’t told anything and the same thing thing happened to another Hispanic party that was seated near us. Honestly felt a bit segregated how they decided to seat us Hispanic people.

Definitely make an appointment for Noho's Hotspot. The bartender/manager, Malcolm was awesome and made our experience way better. We were late and missed our reservation but they still found seating for us at the bar. The mimosas were tasty and the food was really good. I will be back.

Great Location in the Valley, nice Vibe. The food is “instagrammable” and still reasonably priced. Great brunch spot. I had The Bananas Foster dish which was amazing! The chefs take their time to make sure the dishes are perfect before they come out!
