Fun one-time visit kind of place. I appreciated the consideration of mask wearing by everyone. We visited not long after the omicron variant was fading. Exhibits were well maintained and functional. Every single one is interactive. Food court was fine, we ate lunch there. Better than you’d expect at a place like this, haha Kids enjoyed it but got bored after a couple hours. I would say if your kids are ages 7-11, that’s the sweet spot. Much younger and they won’t be able to do much. Much older and it will feel “too little”.

Best value in THE OC for kids. Plenty of hands on and learning g while very entertaining for them. The parents and grandparents will live to see thier kids so happy and learning. The staff are helpfull as well. One drawback is the driving entry point at opening time created a line of cars out into a very busy intersections. All in all a great experience. If you come more than once buy the family entrance fee. It is good for many other museums as well.

Brought my six year old son to the Discovery Cube for the first time yesterday and we had a blast! Honestly I wasn't too sure if he would enjoy it but I'm glad that he did end up liking it. Parking is $6 so make sure you account for that when arriving. Their parking lot is a decent size. If you arrive later in the afternoon like we did you might have to park in the further lot and it is a bit of a walk to get to the Cube. They're also located directly next to the freeway so it will be quite loud with all of the traffic on the other side of the lot. Not too big of a deal though. Admission was $20/adult and $15/child at the time that we went. I thought it was fairly priced for the amount of exhibits and activities they have for children. My son LOVED their Physics Lab where he was able to put together his own car and put it to the test on their race track. A very hands on exhibit compared to some of the other ones and perfect for kids that like racing! He also liked their Race to Recycle game that teaches kids which specific items go in different waste bins (Plastic, Organic etc.). The Discovery market had a fun game where you use a shopping cart to go around a make-shift grocery store and choose which products are best for the environment. I believe there were a few options of different games but my son chose the one for environment friendly items. Honestly they have a good selection of exhibits for kids to go through. I think it took us around 2 hours to walk through the entire place. They also have a small cafe on the first floor where you can purchase snacks, beverages and food. My son got the pepperoni pizza, a bag of pita chips and gummy bears - then apple juice for a drink. I would 100% NOT recommend the pita chips, they were the hardest chips I have ever tried in my life and I don't see how any kid would enjoy them. But everything else seemed pretty good. My son ate it all - except the chips. Honestly I would go back to the Discovery Cube in the future because we had such a good time for our first visit. The only thing I will say is that the second level exhibits are a little stuffy, its like there's no air flow in some of the rooms. Also, it would be nice if they fixed some of the iPads in the Mission Control exhibit, quite a few of them weren't working. Other than that I'd say this was a great experience and I look forward to going back!

So interactive for the kids...and adults. Great experience many types of learning activities to do. Hands on experimenting from the sea ⛵ to the air, and space. Don't forget to check out the paw 🐾 patrol exhibit. A great day experience with a fair price for you and the whole family to enjoy.

This Science place is really a great place for kids to learn in a fun way! It is very big and there are so many fun things to do. You can build your own race car and can go pretend shopping and there are just so many other fun things. Definitely recommend for children and adults too.

Perfect place for kids to be kids while learning a lot about science! Great spot for education and just a fun overall spot for the family! They offer a range of educational value from space, physics, earth sciences, dinosaurs, and grocery shopping fun! They take covid very seriously and are continuously cleaning and sanitizing the whole place. It is very safe for the family to enjoy and get away from the house!

Discovery Cube "The Cube" in Orange County is the best of the two locations. It offers hours of interactive fun for a wide age range of children and their adults. One of the great perks is the food cafe. Their are many options. Most food options are on the pricey side, but it is prepared and not prepackaged. Definitely healthy choice options. The staff is the nicest. I highly recommend this be on your summer activities list.

Took the kids out to Discovery Cube for the first time. They had a blast and stayed quite busy for several hours. Most of the time was spent in the grocery shopping exhibit where they busily scanned items. Another favorite was the Laser room challenge. They kept going back in line to try and beat their personal time scores. Parents can watch a live feed while the kids play inside the laser room. It was also refreshing to take an outdoor stroll to the dinosaur exhibit and checkout some life sized skeletons. Overall a very engaging outing. Note, be prepared to pay for parking.

Very fun and very organized!! You definitely need more than a day to check out this place. There's so much to see, experiment, and plenty to learn! My first time and so thankful Yelp Elite Squad coordinated such an event with Discovery Cube Santa Ana. Thank you, Thank you!! Got a nice Yelp Elite goodie bag which included little gifts like mini sanitizer, keychain, coupons for gift shops, and coupon for free beverage at the food court cafe. They also offered a complimentary lunch hour snack and refreshments. Mostly veggies tray snacks and you can redeem free beverage at the cafe. My favorite play area was upstairs with the grocery store and the recycle center. Great way to learn about proper recycling and grocery shopping reading nutritional labels! Fantastic place for kids! Oh the Vault downstairs is really great too. You can do a lazer maze with your party. I'm an adult and I enjoy it very much. Can you imagine what a blast it is for kids?! Haha It's nice they have hand sanitizer at every play area. They also provide masks for those who forgot any. Ample amount of parking. Take your friends or kids or both. It's a fun place to be!!

Came here during the week with my 7 year old nephew. It's a fun experience it's a lot smaller than the California Science Center If i had to choose between the two I would rather go to the California Science Center It's a lot bigger, lots more to do and it's free Here at the discovery cube Kids go in for $15 And Adults go in for $20 Plus parking is $6 Also the Discovery Cube is mostly for kids and the California Science Center seems to have a little something for everyone. Overall the discovery cube is okay to visit at least once

Awesome day! We’re supposed to go SD but we got caught of extreme heavy traffic and re route to Discovery-unplanned. Darren the staff at the entrance explain everything to us and end up going back to him and get annual pass🎉Highly recommended ages 1-12yrs old. Love the space & mission control area great for science, building cars and let it race with siblings or friends was the hit, the grocery story learning my kindergarten how to scan and do some math as well, Paw Patrol exhibit, aquarium, much more. Lunch was another story, a little pricey $3 juice 🧃 $3 chips, $10 kids meal only 5 baked tots included. Tenders was like uncooked grill chicken my kid didn’t like it, the other one was space or 🚀 ship quesadilla was same under cooked grilled chicken with cheese, the 🦖s’mores was taste like cinnamon toasted tortilla with chocolate syrup &marshmallow not bad at all. Pizza 🍕 was the hit👍🏽 Shout out as well that they are using compostable plates, utensils even the cups are made from corn- Bravo 🙌🏽 🙌🏽🙌🏽♻️ Thank you for being mindful 👍🏽 Most restrooms has refillable water stations the same like at the airport. 💚Lesson learned next time bring your own lunch otherwise pizza day is not bad at all🤭 Over all experience it was FUN DAY for the entire family 👍🏽 we end up getting annual pass👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽See you soon

fun experience for kids of all ages, although the younger kids will have more of a blast. the place is always clean, and there are several staff members around every room to help you if you need anything. normally doesn’t get too busy, and is a fun way to kill time. lots of activities, and special holiday and seasonal events, making it a different experience every time you go. there is so much to do here! the new aquatic area is my favorite! :)

First time visit with my family and we all enjoyed the experience. My 3 and 4 year old daughters loved exploring and the overall experience. We spent about 2 hours and it was the perfect amount of time. We arrived about 2:30 on a Saturday and it was not crowded. A few minutes to wait for helicopter tour and laser. I’d recommend families to go if they haven’t already.

It's always been a great place to take kids, particularly aged 2-12. Parking is an additional $6.00 so be ready for that. They regularly change or update the experiments and interactive displays so it's always engaging. I recommend going right when they open and getting through everything before it becomes crowded.

Very interesting interactive experiments. Clean space, hand sanitizer available all around the museum. Cons: some of the experiments were not working well (cloud shape, wind shape). Not all water fountains working.

Brought my two kids to the see the Paw Patrol Exhibit and it was fantastic. The exhibit itself was fun, lots of to do. The whole building has so much to offer such as ocean encounters, space, and lots of hands on activites. Tons of interactive experiences for kids all ages, great for creative minds. The cafe also offered the funnest kids menu for the kiddos, all healthy choices. Highly recommend for families.

BubbleFest at Discovery Cube Orange county, small outdoor activities with wait times between 10-15 minutes on a weekday for each activity. The indoor bubble and laser show is great, arrive early at the auditorium doors upstairs to get good seat if get the general admission tickets online or onsite. Great show nonetheless kids had a blast.

Definitely a place to go when you have little kids that need to burn off energy, after being cooped up inside the house during this pandemic. For $20 entrance fee, I think they can put more exhibits and give their older exhibits a little bit of attention and care. I like how they have restrooms all over the place, almost everywhere you turn, there is one. They also have a food place that offers a lot of options with kids in mind, of course. Also a little shop for some overpriced souvenirs before you leave.

Love this place. Lost count how many times we came here but we are members. How can you say no to learning? Never too young or old to learn something. The layout is really thought out. Once you enter you will be greeted by the staff. There’s always a staff where ever you go. Exhibits is really cool. From hockey, to the grocery store, landfill, planes, cars, sea, helicopter, ….I can really keep going. Parking is very close. Great place to be when it gets too hot. Lol hahaha If you’re in the OC area getting a membership is the best thing. Happy learning!!

We spent close to 4 hours here with our two year old and still didnt see everything. If you can get the year-long pass, I highly recommend it. They have different sections targeted to different age groups from toddlers to pre/mid-teens. They also have a café with a bunch of options including pizza, coffee, and a kids menu where the food is cut into shapes.

Seeing this curiosity from the I-5 Freeway, I’ve wondered what’s in there. I would’ve expected it to be like the Science Center in Exposition Park, tho it’s more to do with hands on exhibits. It’s a colorful experience of illustrations and learning! While I remember learning much of what I saw here in school years ago, this place offered a refreshing participation in all these things that matter to us! The experience may appeal to all ages, tho more geared towards elementary and middle school students. Great place to take the kids! There’s no set way to go about it. Organized groups seemed to have an orderly passage, whereas independent viewers were more random. School groups tend to visit on weekdays in the late morning and afternoon hours. Late afternoons were less crowded, with more open access to exhibits. There’s eateries with lots of seating available. Restrooms are readily available. A gift shop is located near the back door for memorabilia. The Discovery Cube is very well maintained, with an attractive kaleidoscope visual appearance. While I’m usually taking pictures outdoors, here the opportunity presents itself and I couldn’t resist! Parking is $6.00 per vehicle in the designated Discovery Cube lot. I noticed an additional lot across the street that appeared closed. Visitors may also park at the Main Place Shopping Mall. The average visit time will be about two hours.

Excellent location for interactive science activities. This is not a museum. We enjoyed the grocery store the most. Amazing level of detail in it's construction. The children learned a lot about nutrition and comparative shopping.

Its nice for kinds under 8 probably. Is not that big and very crowded. It took a long time to get to do any activities, the kids got bored so we left. May come in a non-holday for better activities

Way better than I expected. I was just expecting a regular science museum for kids but was blown away by the variety of exhibits, the care of the staff and even the quality food. Much respect for all the people making this place a destination for families. I was most impressed by the grocery store exhibit teaching kids about healthy eating. Super unique and needed for this generation.

Discovery Cube Children's Museum is an absolutely amazing place for kids of all ages! It offers a complete immersion into learning with engaging and educational activities. Recently attended their Pumpkin Palooza party, and the sense of delight is off the charts! The atmosphere of fun and learning is unparalleled. Highly recommend to families for both entertainment and educating children. It's a unique experience that will be remembered for years to come!

We went to the Discovery Cube specifically for the bubble show and exhibits that have that time of year. The exhibits were all pretty overcrowded and there was a 10-20 minute wait like to do any of the bigger kid attractions, so that was kind of a bummer. The bubble show though was amazing! Towards the end of the whole thing we were sure if it was still the bubble show or if it had turned into a straight up rave! Absolutely blew me away!

Come early, parking is highly limited and afternoons are busy on the weekends. Plenty for the kids to do, indoor and outdoor. Some of the exhibits are dated, but still fun.

I remember visiting this place when I was younger and having a blast. I drive by often, and the dinosaur outside always catches my eye. My niece is a LOVER of all things dinosaurs and enjoys science all around. So, come her spring break this year (March), I decided to bring her along. She (really, we) had a wonderful time. All of the interactive displays were working and had a description to learn how it all works. She's under 10 and I think that's probably the best ages to attend, as it may be a bit "boring" for older kiddos. The food is alright, but I suggest going through the exhibits and getting a bite outside instead. Also, it's more of a 1x trip. I think they interchange smaller exhibits, such as the bubble fest they were setting up, but I'm not sure if it'd really be worth going again.
