We needed an overnight spot we could afford. This cozy spot was great and we will be back when we have more time to explore. Only thing we would’ve liked would have been coffee in the room, but we found a local coffee shop a few blocks away with great pastries so that worked. We enjoyed the contactless entry / check in process. Oh. You do hear trains passing in the night. There is a whistle often

Large room, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, feather bed, great bathroom, sitting area. I’m hoping in the future they will add mini refrigerators, microwaves and maybe a small coffee maker to the rooms. A central ice machine would be awesome.Tori was very helpful and made sure we could always contact her with any questions. This was a great stay…..quiet, clean and walking distance to everything. We stayed in the Santa Barbara Room.

Unbelievable how easy - no getting keys or room directions- everything automated and easy. Room a bit dated- but clean and cozy with lots of room to enjoy our time away. The location is close to the village and easy to walk to. Parking not an issue. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to go back soon

We like this little Inn in Carlsbad. It is clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the room spacious. I liked that they had beach chairs and umbrellas available, and morning coffee in the lobby. Easy walk to everything.

Super cute hotel in a great location! Bed was incredibly comfortable with a functioning fireplace. & walking distance to the downtown area of Carlsbad; great stay!

The Pelican Cove Inn is a great choice for your Carlsbad stay. It’s a close walk to the beach and village. The rooms are clean and have all the essentials with a very easy system for self check in, and good parking. All of this at a very good price!

I stayed at the Pelican Cove B&B 2 years ago and reviewed it then at 5 stars. I expected the same experience just last week and was unfortunately, disappointed. This was formerly a bed and breakfast, but is now only a 'bed'. Since I expected to have breakfast, and it was an important consideration in my booking, I was disappointed to learn that the new ownership no longer offers breakfast. The rooms were adequate, but there is no in-room refrigerator, microwave, or coffee accommodations. There is a shared refrigerator, but no ice maker or ice-machine. None of this was an issue when they served breakfast, but now that they do not, in my opinion, they should make it easier for you to have breakfast at the Inn on your own. There is a Keurig in the main lobby available, if those satisfy coffee needs for you. Unfortunately, the value proposition for this place has gone down. With all of those comments in mind, an Airbnb or Marriott have more amenities for similar or cheaper costs.

Great room in a super location. So close to everything and the room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Would definitely stay and recommend to others!

Cozy and well appointed with fireplace and 80s granny chic comfort. The location is brilliant - blocks from the beach and tucked away in a coastal neighborhood. Feels very homey and almost B&B-like but with more privacy.

Amazing cute property! Email and text came with checkin details, room was super cute and extremely clean. Victorian charm! Quiet area. Lots of windows to open for cool ocean breeze at night. Coffee bar and morning snacks was a sweet treat. Great place to stay in Carlsbad. Love this location and new owners have done a terrific job keeping place charming ❤️

Tori went above and beyond to help us and I’m so grateful. The room was so cute and the Inn is so quaint. The location is quiet and absolutely perfect. We wanted to be somewhere near the water and the village so we could go out at night and this place was perfect! Hopefully we can make our visits here a regular thing. I will definitely be back!

Super charming little Inn, room codes were sent to our phone for super easy check in! The use of boogie boards, chairs, etc was way cool! There is no AC so the room was a bit toasty in the afternoon, but overall for the very fair price, this was an excellent place to stay near the beach!

We stayed in the Del Mar room. The decor was lovely, smelled so clean and fresh! No AC, but the fan in the window worked great. They have a great patio and rooftop patio. They have a common room with refrigerator, microwave, laundry machine, beach chairs, beach towels, and a shower outside to rinse the sand off. The check in was the easiest, and the lobby had water, tea, coffee, and nutri grain bars. The housekeeper was so AWEOME! He was so attentive and loves his job. He makes sure the guests are happy. I would definitely book this hotel again!

Nice quiet place to stay that is close to the village. Tori was great and even called us afterwards to tell us we had left something in our room and she would ship it to us. Very thoughtful and we look forward to stay their again.
