Was very disappointed with this place. The photos and description are deceiving. The hotel said they had parking, but they only have 2 reserved spots so we had to park on the street. The bathrooms were not clean and the room was smelly. There was hair on the walls of the shower and the towels were stained. The sheets were falling off the mattress and did not smell clean either. We came back around 7 pm to have a homeless man sleeping in the hallway on our way to our room. The photos display the place to be new, updated, clean, and safe and none of that was the case. For the price we paid, we were extremely disappointed. I recommend looking elsewhere for your stay by Long Beach.

Cute and comfy hotel, but one of my worst experiences with customer service. And dirty towels. I came here after being relocated from an Airbnb. Right from the get-go, the manager was rather rude, telling me to “not get my towels dirty.” I mean, look at those clean towels I got! When I extended my stay and fully paid in advance, the manager called me multiple times to tell me I had to get check out and that I couldn’t stay. I was at work, and explained that he had my card on file plus my reservation details. When I got back, he locked me out late at night, and making me go find him. Even then he rolled his eyes and shook his head at me when I asked him what was going on. I am not sure what his problem is, but he was very rude and unprofessional. I was hoping it would be different based on how other reviews mention how nice the owners are - I am not sure who this man was. Word of advice, be respectful to your customers, specially when they are already being respecting to you. And if you don’t want your towels to get dirty then maybe the motel business isn’t for you.

HARROWING EXPERIENCE The rooms are fine but I did not feel safe staying there. My heart was racing, I was extremely frightened, and I couldn’t sleep because the young man at the front desk knocked on my door at freaking midnight to say that the guest below me complained of “loud walking” from my room. I was literally just quietly walking around my room packing, wearing soft slippers. As a woman traveling alone, I found this intrusive, scary, and awful and I don’t plan on staying there ever again. Yikes! Advice to the hotel owner: put rugs down over the hard floors so people can walk in their rooms without disrupting their neighbors. Or tell the downstairs guests who complain that you’re sorry but the rooms above them have hard floors that can be a bit noisy when their fellow guests walk around. Don’t gaslight upstairs guests by telling them they need to walk more quietly!!! AND DO NOT KNOCK ON SOMEONE’S DOOR AT MIDNIGHT (OR EVER) BECAUSE YOUR HOTEL HAS PAPER THIN CEILINGS AND NOISY FLOORS!!! Also the parking is a nightmare. They sandwich the cars in like sardines and I legitimately worried I would hit someone or be hit.

The rooms are nothing like the pictures or is the outside. We had to cancel 2 of our 3 nights. Didn't stay any night but paid for the night we arrived. We booked at the Best Western up the street. Although the gentleman helping us at the Belmont shore Inn was very nice the Hotel, rooms and area are very sketchy.

Pros: recently renovated rooms and proximity to the beach Cons: very small rooms, although recently remodeled the rooms are clearly done in a DIY fashion, which means there will be quirks like shower doors that don't open all the way and lack of secondary security locks on the doors. This is not the ideal environment for dogs, as there is no real place to walk them and the property is not very dog friendly. The cleaning standards were a 3 out of 10, finding hair from prior occupants (and this is during a pandemic).

DO NOT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS PROVIDED BY THE OWNERS. Really look through to the “real” photos. This spot would be fine for half the price - but looking at the professional photos and high price tag I thought it had been recently rehabbed and would bright and lovely. It is dark, dingy and well worn. The bedding and towels are low quality and there are stains throughout. There was a hair on the bed and the more we inspected the place the worse it looked so we stopped. Like I said for half the price I would have been understanding but for the photos in their ads I thought this place would be LOVELY and we recently stayed in a best western for $58 that was cleaner and nicer.

The hotel is a little creepy on the outside but it looks cozy once you actually get into the rooms. Our room is cute love the set up and decorations, but the towels are dirty and the bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a v long time. The beds are comfortable but kinda gross we found lots of just weird little things on the beds almost like they just weren't cleaned after the previous guest. The guy at the front desk was nice and made it an easy check in. Overall place looks cute but seems like they have never been cleaned.

We had a fantastic stay at the Belmont Shore Inn! The location was easily walkable, extremely close to the beach, and close to food/grocery. The room was nice and big, easily big enough for 4 adults. It was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were SO nice and courteous and were easily available for extra towels or anything when needed. They even gave us a welcome gift of snacks/water when we check in! They were able to give restaurant recommendations and areas to check out nearby. I was initially nervous about not being able to find parking as there are only (6) spots in the back and we stayed during a busy event weekend (Long Beach GP). But this didn't end up being an issue at all. Between street parking and the private lot it was never a problem to find an available spot. That being said, I will note... the back lot is VERY tight and fills up fast but with some careful maneuvering it is still usable. The only improvements that I could say are rooms were a bit noisy, squeaky doors, upstairs noise, etc. Low water pressure would be only other issue. If this could be improved it would be amazing. We would certainly come back!!

This place is absolutely not was is shown on the images. I booked it because of the 5 starts it received but I am positive they must be paid reviews. This place was not safe at all, the images are not an accurate image of the hotel and when I asked for a refund I was unable to get one. I left immediately after checking into the room, do not stay here.

They doubled booked us. We did not get the room we paid for. (See photos) The room was so dirty. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing great is we are right by the beach. And that deserves 5 stars! No staff on Sunday to check out and complain about the room. We got here at 3am Saturday morning and are checking out Sunday. Every time I went to the front desk no one was there to talk to. Will be calling the cc company next. Not paying for a deluxe and got a queen.

Very quaint little place tucked back but on a main drag. Quiet, clean, excellent service. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed here in April 2021. Had a fantastic time. Little weird checking in but understand the process to ensure safety and keeping party behaviors off the property. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the location can't be be beat. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants in the area. I highly recommend Open Sesame for tasty food and Belmont Brewing Co. for the views.

I would've never thought to stay here, but I was pleasantly surprised! We had a studio and it was clean and cute, and that king size bed was very comfortable! The glass shower in view of any and everyone in the room was a bit on the romantic side for me since it was a romantic night out!

Check in Easy. Nick was helpful at the front desk. Room clean , bed comfy as. Vons / starbucks next door. Close to the pier. Great spot.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. No complaints from a quality/ cleanliness point. The man at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. He provided us with a wine opener and paper plates late night. The only reason this place lost a star was for the parking situation. On the website it claims free parking, but in reality you park on the street and have to move your car by 0900 or else you get a ticket or towed on street cleaning day.

Best location for LB marathoners. Price varies...between 180ish and 250for a night depending when you book. Stayed here for a few years now. Everyone that works there is very nice, thorough. It's always clean...and I mean open the door smells good clean. No microwave only bummer in the room. Security cameras throughout the lot, private parking in the back. No ideal for XL vehicles (anything bigger than a jeep grand cherokee2018). Highly recommend. Book early. I do every year around may/june ish for October. Happy stays.

Belmont Shore Inn Motel was a very good value! Clean, spacious units with contemporary (white/Gray) interior. Close to the Beach, pier and restaurants. I will stay there again! A bonus was the EV Charging stations nearby in Beach parking Lot.

Okay, let's just say this place is a wee bit on the funky side. VERY limited parking, and located in a a sketchy area, but heck it's near the ocean and some decent restaurants. The room was comfortable, and their prices are reasonable. It's right next to a Vons grocery store which was a nice plus. Oh, one more thing, it's SUPER hard to find!!!

The pros: First of all this is the only hotel in Belmont shore. The Belmont has no competition. The area is great for walking , shopping and restaurants. We stayed in two rooms , a superior kind and a regular king. The superior king was spacious. The standard king was small with a tiny window. The shower is excellent. Both rooms were clean The standard king was dark, the superior king was light with a big window. The manager was very nice and tried to help with any issues There are sufficient outlets There is a desk The bed is comfy The cons: There is no coffee pot in the room Parking is a nightmare! There are only 4 real parking spaces. No overnight garage nearby. So is you arrive late in the afternoon good luck finding parking. There is no lobby There is no phone in the room Unless you get a superior room the room is dark and tiny There is no elevator! Be prepared to trek up lots of concrete stairs.

VERY EXPENSIVE TO CANCEL A RESERVATION. Upon learning about the parking issue at the hotel (only 4 parking spaces), my wife and I decided the day before our arrival that we did not want to risk parking challenges late at night when we planned to arrive (around 10pm). We were then informed that hotel policy for cancellation is a penalty worth a full night's room rental rate plus all taxes and fees. Canceling the reservation benefits the customer is absolutely no way and allows the hotel to rebook your now vacant room and double their money. Had I known the hotel had this ridiculous policy, I never would have booked a room to begin with. If you need dedicated parking, do not book this hotel. If you need flexibility on booking/cancelation, do not book this hotel.

Great location, clean and remodeled rooms, reasonably priced, close to a grocery store, good restaurants, and the beach. Would definitely stay again!

So it is a motel setup but the rooms are renovated and look like the pics. The beach is literally 2-3min walk behind the place. It is right next to a VONS which is sooooo convenient. And there are a few food choices like Mexican and mediterranean also 2 min walk. If you are ok with not having a lobby or a gym or things like a Marriott would have, try the place out. The prices are fair and the location is worth it. (Pics are of pier/Beach right around the block from inn)

Good little spot. The prices swing a LOT on any given day. It's May and they want over $200/night whereas last week it was only $120. It was clean and close to everything. The fridge was already plugged in which is a welcome change for most places. No coffee machine.... Nice guy working at the front.

This is a very great value in a motel for the price. The rooms are very modern, clean and brightly lit. Less than five min walk from the beach. If you're looking for an economical stay in Long Beach, I can't recommend the Belmont Shore Inn enough.

The location is great.... Small Rooms...Great Service.... If you're traveling and need transportation, the LBT bus service is excellent.... one can get a bus right in front of the Belmont... Thank you Kevin....

Just stayed one night before a carnival cruise. 5 miles from the port. Neighborhood is ok. It's kind of a courtyard arrangement. The staff was very kind. Check-in was simple. There are stairs. Double-check before booking with accessibility needs. I would say the price was reflective of the experience. Several restaurants, a grocery store with a Starbucks in it, are within a two- minute walk. Parking is extremely limited, so check on that before booking.

Visited from out of the country and I was really happy with the staff, they were so friendly and went above and beyond to help us out (eg to park in a safe area where we wouldn't get ticketed, to check in/out, nearby restaurants and attractions). The Inn looks a bit old on the outside but the rooms are beautiful and newly renovated on the inside.

This is about the best location if you want to stay near second street and the ocean. However, there's no view and it's about a half mile walk to 2nd Street. The rooms themselves are decent and maintained with some thoughtful features. My wife particularly like the cinnamon soap. Still for the same price we could have stayed in a nicer hotel.

I love this place. The people who run it are a family. I've been going there for 3 years now they always make me feel at home. If there's something I want or need but have to ask and if it is available our reasonable they are very accommodating. As far as location for me it's a great central zone you be just for yourself the next vacation or just get away peace have a great day

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Belmont Shore Inn. The owner/manager is very kind and accommodating. The rooms are renovated beautifully and very clean. I highly recommend this inn!

Due to unforeseen circumstances we could not stay! But with full cooperation the manager and Kevin himself went out of his way to make it up to us! I appreciate their grave and understanding in this matter! We will keep this place in mind for future vacations! Thank you again Kevin for your grace and understanding !

Newly renovated and very friendly staff. Beach is literally within a minute of a walk and has plenty of great eateries around the area. It's a hidden gem, unique and clean. Give it a try when you are in Long Beach next time. Cheers!

The rooms are updated and spacious. Very clean and neat. Great price for the location. Only bad part is that there's only 5-6 parking spots, otherwise you must find street parking.
