We try to eat here during every magical trip to Disneyland. We were unable to get reservations before hand but conveniently they have a walk up waiting list that they can sometimes accommodate. Their food is maybe the most expensive in both parks but it is definitely a delicious fine dining experience. The magical ambience of eating out in the Louisiana bayou is priceless. The fireflies and the sound of banjo playing in the swamp is a beautiful touch. Service was fantastic and food was wonderful.

Such a magical experience! Once you enter the restaurant it really feels like you’re in New Orleans! It being on the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride made it so Special. The food was so delicious and Paul provided excellent customer service and made our daughters birthday special by putting candles on her dessert which made it so memorable. Thank you Paul! If you ever decide to dine here, definitely make reservations and order the chicken gumbo! It’s so so so DELICIOUS 🤤

To start, it’s very difficult to get reservations to this establishment nestled in the pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. Ambiance is great, your literally part of the Pirate ride - we could see the boats float by from our table. The place is dim but it adds to the ambiance. The server and staff were friendly enough. Now for the bad; we ordered filet mignon, median rare, spaghetti, chicken and shrimp - along with scallops, tomatoes, watermelon salad, and corn fritters for appetizers. Our main entries came out quickly, like in 10 minutes?! We waited another 20 minutes for our appetizers??? They never brought the salad :( The steak was overcooked, closer to well done, def not worth $52. The chicken / shrimp, very bland and dry. The spaghetti / fritters, not worth mentioning. The scallops however were real good and it’s what saved our meal. A mention on service, after the drinks and food were served, we lost sight of our server, we had to flag down other servers; ultimately 3 to place another drink order. Out the door 4 bills. I would recommend visiting this location just for the scallops, a round of drinks and ambiance.

Disneyland tickets are already $200+ per person for park hoppers. What’s another $200 for dinner? If you want fine dining, you go to a nice restaurant. But if you want to be treated like a super VIP and watch peasants and pirates row past you during dinner, you go to the Blue Bayou. Lalaine, Jeff, and Chai made our trip to Disneyland that much more magical. I will definitely be bringing all my friends and family here when we inevitably return for more Mickey Mouse mayhem. Oh, and the food was delicious. Definitely try the jambalaya and trust Jeff’s dessert recommendations!

Ate here 07/19 Food here is beyond delicious and well worth the wait. It is super pricey but for a once in a while (or perhaps lifetime) - it's worth it. Our server (Delores I believe her name was) was super attentive and kind. I got the gumbo and watermelon salad and despite being starters they were quite filling. Got the creme brulee for dessert

This place is beautiful , Honestly it would have been impossible for me to find this place if it wasn't for my wife. To eat here reservations are needed and it is almost impossible to do it without a reservation, fortunately that day we were able to enter without having a reservation! We had to wait almost an hour but finally we were able to enter. the place is beautiful. Their menu is not very large and I understand it. I ended up ordering their fish market which I fell in love with! Their wines are not the best and even more so because they offer you a wine that had already been open for some time. the service is good but without a doubt I think it can be better. I would recommend this place but I would recommend making a reservation first.

Blue Bayou is one of Disneyland’s oldest sit down restaurants. And arguably the most unique. It is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. But this place is more than just a gimmick. It has also been smashing it lately in terms of food offerings. Everything we had was delicious. The classic jambalaya was as good as it has ever been. With quality cuts of meat and well seasoned rice. The mint julep was very good. The chocolate cake was not overly sweet. But the absolute highlight was the fish special. A lightly seared ahi tuna with fresh herbs, rice, and coconut-mango butter. Perfection.

Don't come for the food, come for the atmosphere! I've eaten here a few times and it's by far my favourite restaurant in the park and my most recent visit was for a late lunch on a Wednesday (November/slow season). The Blue Bayou is located in New Orleans Square with the dining area inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. You get to watch the boats float by while enjoying your meal. This is one of my favourite rides in the happiest place on Earth for me so for me, you just can't beat the atmosphere. I highly suggest getting a reservation because during our three day trip last year, we were unable to get in even once. This year, we were able to get in for lunch without a reservation. Both trips this year were booked last minute and we were unable to get a reservation. The food is good but nothing really special. We ordered 3 entrees which were the Market fish (sea bass), chicken, and Monte Cristo. We also got the gumbo and scallops. I would recommend the Monte Cristo and the gumbo which were both pretty good. The fish and chicken were mediocre at best and very forgettable. The scallops were delicious but for $19 I could have used more than a few pieces. The mint Julip is a must and comes with free refills. Service was excellent which is consistent across the park but I feel like it's a tiny bit better here maybe because of the fantastic atmosphere. I paid just under $200 for three people including taxes and gratuity. There are numerous cheaper options with better food just outside the park but then you're not eating in the Pirates ride.

We finally were able to get a reservation & dine at Blue Bayou. After entering park & after Blue Bayou opened, we kept checking Disneyland App for reservations & were able to get 1 for lunch. My daughter was super excited as were several others experiencing it for the 1st time. The food & service were wonderful. Only suggestion I’d have is review menu prior to being seated as lightly is minimal & menu a little difficult to see. Will definitely go back.

First time eating at the Blue Bayou. Hubby and I were treated here for our birthday, The food was great. I started with the Strawberry Pistachio salad...loved it! Hubby ordered the filet mignon and I had the sea bass for the entree...yum! Dessert was the highlight for me...the Creme Brulee was large enough for two people to share and son got us a Mickey Birthday Cake...so chocolatey and moist! It was a very nice treat!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! The ambience is awesome, the service is awesome too. Fun to see riders go by on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride go by!! I had the chicken jambalaya and my Mom had the pasta dish! Both were so good.

If you come to Disneyland DON’T EVER EAT HERE! The Host was Art which was a terrible experience. Our reservation was for 3:20…. We did not get seated till 4:30. In which walk ups were coming in and sitting before us. WHY MAKE A RESERVATION?! Trust me go to DISNEY WORLD for A service. FRAISER working there is AMAZING and has that special magic. Ask for him to be your server.

What a lovely evening at the Blue Bayou after a rainy, yet great day at Disneyland. What a taste and fine dining experience. We shared the gumbo, which was quite salty. I order the fish of the day and truly enjoyed it and my husband selected the fried chicken with a side of shrimp. The chicken was a bit overcooked as were the shrimp but still tasted good. We also shared a piece of 100 anniversary chocolate cake which was incredible. The atmosphere at the Blue Bayou is fantastic and possibly a bit romantic. The staff were incredible. Amazingly fantastic and attentive. The bathroom was uniquely decorated and has a very pleasant fragrance.

I have had the pleasure of having lunch or dinner here on four or five separate occasions while visiting Disneyland. There were dishes that I have had that were so amazing but I can’t tell you the names of the dishes. The menu constantly changes according to what’s in season and leans toward Creole, Cajun, or Mediterranean with a heavy French influence. Though the one thing that has always stayed on the menu is the Monte Cristo. I love dining here no matter what because the ambience is 👨‍🍳🤌💋. If you are a Pirates of the Caribbean ride fan, you know. It’s that dining at night, with the soft glow of lanterns, by the the water feeling. And the excited boat passengers passing by! Beautiful. Magical. Romantic. It’s strongly recommended to book a reservation at least 3 months ahead of time for lunch or dinner. If you don’t have lunch reservations, go to the restaurant 10-15 minutes before they open, with your entire party, and get in the waitlist line. Your entire party must be with you or they won’t put you on the list. Plan on waiting maybe 10-30 minutes to be seated. I don’t know what it’s like for dinner without reservations. Just know that it’s worth the wait and effort to dine here when you come to Disneyland.

This place lived up to the reputation, absolutely loved our lunch here and the pricing was super reasonable given the top tier overall quality. I was lucky enough to book this place for lunch via the app the week of our visit. The vegetarian & vegan options were adequate and delicious. Ended up ordering their hurricane alcohol drink as well to try, if you're a fan of rum THIS is your drink I loved that thing should've gotten another. Food presentation and taste were phenomenal, I would highly recommend trying to book a dining experience here and it's perfect for a romantic lunch/dinner or a family dining experience. It was super spacious and you forget you're in Disneyland for the hour or so you're in there.

First time at the world famous Blue Bayou celebrating my wife's birthday, and I was a little disappointed with this iconic place. I ordered a filled mignon medium rare, the first time the steak was dry, and it was well done. They took the order back and came back with a well-done steak again. The third time they bought back the steak, it was super rare even the server was shocked in how many times the kitchen got my order wrong . I'm not giving up on this place and will come back for a fresh experience to see if this iconic place lives up to its name.

I absolutely loved eating here! I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was amazing! Very sweet and savory. It came with what I thought were potato chips, but they were a little thicker and had a really good texture to them. They tasted so good, and the dipping sauce was a really good fry sauce style. The salad was fresh and had an amazing dressing on it. My husband got the catch of the day. He liked it, but he expected more. He also ended up still being hungry after eating his. He ate 2 of my 3 monte cristo sandwiches after eating his, but I was pretty full after just one portion of the sandwich and the salad. Granted, we were at Disneyland and walking a lot, but they should work on portion sizes. The drinks were really good! I got the mint julep, my husband got the lemonade. They both taste delicious. A word of caution, don’t get the mint julep if you don’t love the mint. It’s not too strong for me, but it’s definitely stronger on the mint. The lemonade was a really good traditional lemonade. We had amazing service! The waiters never let our drinks get empty. The wait time wasn’t bad. We did a reservation on the app and it was only about a ten minute wait from there. We were able to sit right by the water. You can request this, but your wait might be a little bit longer. We paid around $100 for two people. It was worth it for me! It was such a unique dining experience that definitely made our experience so worth it alone, but the food was incredible. I would make a recommendation for them to have more options. My husband also commented that for people who, like unique dining, they should have more elaborate food choices. 5/5 from me, 4/5 from my husband. I would definitely go again. I wouldn’t take my kids until they’re old enough to sit quietly and not disturb others.

Great away to get away from the crowds. It was hard to track down the server. Food was in much smaller portion than normal. Creole Chicken had a nice flavor but again very small for price. Creme brulee is definitely worth the price

If you have an opportunity I would recommend a stop by the Blue Bayou Restaurant. It was our first time and we have visited Disneyland multiple times. It was not a disappointment! The service was outstanding and the food was amazing! Yes, the cost is what people are wondering. Its medium to high end but don't forget you're not just paying for the food. It's the service also. You do have to make reservations in advance (online or through the app) but you also have the opportunity to stop by in the morning/afternoon because they do get cancelations. The meals are plenty and ambience is enjoyable.

We were able to get in as a walk-in on a Monday. Waited less than 10min to be seated. Only a couple of things that could be improved on was that maybe bread to be served w/lunch & price of a Monte Cristo sandwich. $30 for a nice size portion of the sandwich that came w/chips made there. But it's a sandwich. Just a little pricey, but it was expected since we were in Disneyland.

Best atmosphere on Earth. Where can you actually dine in a ride attraction?! This was one of Walt’s last projects, finished in 1967, just months before his passing. You can banter with the pirates traveling through the restaurant. Service was perfection. The gumbo was delicious, but everything else was blah. I would not order the Thanksgiving meal. It still gets 5 stars because of the atmosphere.

For my family, no trip to Disneyland is complete without dinner at Blue Bayou. We absolutely love the atmosphere here. My daughters and I love the mint juleps. The food is really good, though there is better food elsewhere at Disneyland/ California Adventure. I typically get the Monte Cristo sandwich which is quite tasty and incredibly flavorful. All the ingredients tie together surprisingly well. The desserts are usually really good as well, though there are many great alternatives for sweets around the park that I prefer.

The biggest shout out to my friend for booking this amazing experience. Though our group of three had already just eaten, we really wanted to go to Blue Bayou as it was something we planned on doing on our last trip and never made it over. My friend reserved the table for three and when a text reservation came through. We only had a good 5 minutes of extra waiting inside of the waiting area before actually going to a table. We were there for a friend's birthday and weren't planning on sharing the information, but it came up naturally when we were talking to our server, Carrie. She was very kind as it was taking us a little bit of time to decide exactly what we wanted to eat. In the end I got gumbo and a hurricane. Both were absolutely delicious! It's fun watching people boat by on the Caribbean ride. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, it left quite an impression. The ambience was truly amazing, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The service, while not exceptional, was courteous and efficient. What truly stood out was the food. It arrived surprisingly fast, and the flavors were undeniably fantastic. However, my only gripe was with the steak. I requested it cooked to order, but it fell a bit short in terms of doneness. It's crucial that they ensure the steak is cooked precisely to the customer's liking. Overall, I'd recommend this place for its fantastic ambience, good service, and delicious food, with the caveat to be specific about your steak preferences to ensure a perfect meal.

Scored on a walk-up lunch for one on my birthday! Haven’t eaten in Blue Bayou in years. Reservations are so hard to get, I had given up! Menu was limited but varied. Pricy for sure but you’re paying for the experience and not just the food. Jambalaya was $36 but the bowl is large. Wine list works and my servers were fast with water refills and other help but without hovering. Not all tables have a great view of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride but I was very lucky and second row from the rail, providing a fun view of the bayou. Food was delicious.

Great food, ambiance and service! We started with a non-alcoholic Mint Julep, I went straight into main course with the filet and it was cooked to perfection. Dessert was also a good choice, a layered chocolate cake with berries, very light and delicious. You get to enjoy the Pirates ride inside Disneyland, very cool!
