This review is for their new location at 2383 W. Lincoln Ave, Anaheim. A nice new space for them. Which I hear they like. They are always friendly and welcoming. The food is good and generous in portion size. They are renovating the patio for outside seating and will be making an outside waiting area. They are doing well so far since opening up. The chicken Koobideh with Cherry Rice is really good. I'm glad they are closer to me. Its easy for parking as well. Please check them out at this new location. Ive been going here since i was a child. Always loved it. This is their new location which is better than the last one. Me and my family left knots berry farm and headed here to have lunch I order the lubia polo and replace the meat with boneless chicken and as usual comes out as delicious and fresh. Its very hot when i got my order. When you take out they put you huge amount of food for $13 for lunch and $16 for dinner. The rice is amazing but the chicken didn’t have much flavor. They put you a side of pita bread, butter, a smoked tomato, lemon, and sumac spice which goes well with the rice. Overall I recommend for the food.

Don’t really know what’s going on. Seems like there’s a issue with my food more often then not. Twenty percent 20% of my koobideh was burned do to the grille malfunction there was nothing that can be done. I was told to order rare next time but it’s going to be pink inside. How about I order normal cooked and I get it that way. Gave up trying to explain it to the lady and just eat what I could.

The kebab was very Succulent. Rice was on point. I didn't find the tadik I was craving but the grilled veggies were very good. Never thought I'd enjoy an onion as much as I did. Wash it all down with some Persian tea and finish it all off with the Persian ice-cream. It's made with rose water and is out of this world. It's a must so save room.

Decided to try Persian food today. Service was a tad slow. Portions are pretty big. Food is tasty, But pricy. Gratuity is automatically charged. Overall a good place to try Persian food. Their yogurt sauce is really tasty. The flat bread is delicious. *fun fact, you get a plate of butter and raw onion. The raw onion is a delicacy that is enjoyed as is.

Amazing food! Can't wait to come back here. A bit pricey for some items considering the portions, but great non the less.

I use to go to Hatem Restaurant every month and I even recommended it to friends and family wedding. Last time I used it after covid-19 was Aug.25,22 I took an order togo to feed my 3 years old so he can try Hatem for the first time. After I picked up the order I went to the park and I was surprised to find the meat was burned (see photo) the rice tasted very old. I called the restaurant right away and they first said if I bring it back they will remake it, I told the lady that was not possible to go back then she told me that she will refund the purchase price $17.25 which was a lie.(they never refunded it. I will never use them again and I will make sure that I will let all family and friend to see the photo. The Lying is what I don't appreciate. what was bad is I can see from a distance that the lady opened the box and closed it and she was talking to another lady behind the counter. That was not professional to see what was in the box but ignore it. You kept my money, the trash kept the food, I had a bad taste from your restaurant. YOU LOSE!!!

The food with all its varieties is delicious and appetizingly prepared. My favorite currently is the salmon plate.

New location is much nicer , we have been going to the old location for a long time and this was our first time dining in the new one. Always good food , always way to much rice lol ! Gratitude was automatically added to the bill ( only group of 3 ) , just not a fan of that

Amazing service. 👏 we were celebrating a special birthday and they brought out an extra appetizer for our party. The food is very generous portions and so delicious. I've been coming here for a few years now.

Placed a carry-out order that included dolmas (grape leaves) and two meat plates. This was my first time trying grape leaves, and unfortunately, they had an overwhelming bitter and overly flavorful taste that wasn't to my liking. However, the plates of meat were a different story – the meat was cooked to perfection, retaining its juiciness. The pita bread and salad served on the side added to the delicious experience. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly service provided.

Poor service anf quality of food has gone downhill. Owner walks with her dog in to the kitchen - against health regulations. Waiter joked about serving dog meat to the table behind us. Place went downhill. Bahar restaurant or Panini is a much better choice.

Hatam catered my brother’s wedding and the food was excellent. Guests had a wide variety of options, the food was well presented, and delicious. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating.

I ordered take out, beef and chicken koobideh , requested lavish bread. Made it home and discovered pita bread and the taste isn't the same as it was at original location. Back during 2000 through 2005 the hole in the wall place(on Brookhurst) was on point.

they don't like arab people when they come over there they treat them really bad and they don't have no smiling sometimes when you’re asking for something, please take care of my plate they got upset I don’t know why they have no respect with Arab people. I don’t know why I hope the owner of the restaurant make sure the employment be smiling with a customer and nice not yell into the customer. Thank you so much.

My husband said this is the best Persian restaurants tried. I like the eggplant tomato beef sauce on the tahdig. Other dishes are a little bit too dry to my personal taste but overall is an interesting experience.

Excellent food in a very casual space. Both of us were wowed by the options and the quality of food. I'm just sorry I didn't come here sooner - it's close to me and I love Persian food. Parking seems like it could be a challenge during peak periods.
