Food: Taco Tuesday! The tacos are $1.50 on Taco Tuesday. These tacos are not the small street tacos but are full sized tacos! Whatever type of meat you get, the tacos are stuffed to the brim and wrapped in a homemade corn tortilla. I got carne asada, chicken and el pastor. My favorite was the carne asada and el pastor. Service: Customer Service was great! The place was packed and my order got skipped. The manager saw that my order was immediately next and gave me a free tall bottle of Coke (the Mexican sort with sugarcane and not corn syrup). He was apologetic and invited me back. Final thought: I have been back and it's my offical Taco Tuesday spot! Be warned, it does get busy. I need to try their burritos!

I didn't really know what to expect when I first came in here, because the area it is located in is less than reputable. However, ignoring the uncomfortable amount of transients stationed just outside of the adjacent 7/11, I was pleasantly surprised with the place. Don't let the downscale ambiance turn you away! Though no one welcomed me when I walked in, but rather just stared awkwardly as if I wasn't even meant to be there, I was determined to get in on the taco Tuesday deals. Mind you, they charge more than two dollars for their tacos on a taco Tuesday special, so I was immediately biased toward the level of quality I expected to receive. For more than two dollars, I better be munching down on some loaded, flavorful tacos. Well, the tacos were filled with a more-than-acceptable amount of meat and garnishing, but the flavor was mid. That's really all I can say, good portioning with some disappointingly mid flavor. If this place was any further than just down the street, you can rest assured I wouldn't return. Come here if you're local, go elsewhere if you're looking for something bomb.

I 100% recommend getting the sopes from here. They taste amazing, the size of the sopes are big and definitely worth the price. The beans and tortillas have homemade fresh taste and the ingredients are not skimped.

Sometimes it’s difficult to place an order over phone but they prepare your food efficiently and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like 👍

Place was ehhh, iv had better street vendors. Asada was dry, didnt have double tortilla so they broke apart, they were more small than "medium size" as the lady explained them in the front and they we $3 plus each. $12 for 4 tacos n they were meh at best. The other food might be good but tacos 👎.

It was our first time here and the tacos are more than $3, we spent $40 on 4 tacos and an order of fries. It was late and we didn't want to drive around, this place happened to be it on our way and we decided to give it a try. The service was awful, they took too long on our order including giving us our drinks. We were the only customers there before there was more people. The tables were dirty and seats. This place is full of spit with a homeless outside. It was a very unpleasant and disgusting visit, mind you I got food poison and my husband got sick on his stomach. I don't recommend this place at all, it was too expensive for what they served. The tortillas were cold coming apart and the meat was too oily. We will not return ever again. I don't understand why so many stars on a place like this, yikes.

Been here multiple times and continue to love the food. Al pastor sopes are my absolute favorite. The meat itself is cooked well. And the people who work there are friendly. I understand that sometimes they get straight to the point and as someone who works in customer service, that’s completely understandable. They get the job done and the food cooked and that’s what matters.

Great tortillas! We picked up some appliances across the street at Dave’s Appliances and it was Tuesday so we went for taco Tuesday. I got 2 asada, 1 carnitas, and 1 pastor. The meat isn’t great. The asada was gray and not cook on a grill. Pastor was ok. Carnitas was best but dry. The tortilla and I loved the green salsa saved the taco. I added the much needed pico de gallo, and lime to give it some flavor. If we’re in the area on a Tuesday I would get it again but we live in Los Alamitos and my husband grew up in Hawaiian Gardens and there’s good Mexican restaurants there plus we make better tacos for family events.

Awesome authentic food. Perhaps the best Mexican food I've had in years. If you are close to this place, don't miss it. We had the Mulitas, and since we went there 2 weeks ago I've been craving their food. Wow, great food.!

My wife and I started coming here a year ago and it's my favorite taco spot at the moment. They have a great salsa bar and the tacos come out just how you order them. Definitely recommend the tacos de "buche" bien dorados(well done) 👍 also if you're feeling adventurous try the al pastor wet burrito. Best part is that they have a daily deal for all those foodies out there.. Another great experience!

I suggest ordering ahead of time. They get very busy. Every day they have a different special. My favorite one is $5 nachos. Love their chorizo, not greasy at all. And I love their salsa bar. Did not love their pastor, I prefer their asada, carnitas and chorizo.

VIP TACOS has great food!!! My favorite are the Nachos. You get your money's worth. I don't care much for beans but I love theirs. I give this place a big 👍🏼👌 next time I'll post a picture oh and their prices are very reasonable.

Great tacos! Love the self serve bar sor salsa and toppings. Not a crazy fan of the tortillas but still great price especially with the daily deals 😁

I ordered carne asada nacho fries. The portion was smaller than at other places but it was inexpensive & very good. It’s not crowded here like it was before. I think all the taco stands on every corner have taken a lot of their business.

Not from the area, but took a chance on this place due to the reviews! Was not disappointed at all! It was taco Tuesday so I decided to try their Carne asada, AL pastor, chicken, and carnitas. All were so delicious! But what really stood out to me were the homemade corn tortillas 😍 I don't even like corn tortillas but these were so different! So wonderfully chewy and fluffy!! Will definitely be back next time were in OC.

The place is kind of small and there really isn’t much seating. But all other stores in the same plaza are small because the plaza itself isn’t too big. Besides that, the food is good. I got a quesadilla and it was delicious. Will be coming back!

I saw this place on Instagram and we were in the area so I thought we'd stop by since it said their tortillas are handmade and the pictures looked good. The food was ok, but it definitely looked better in the pictures. The place was very small and very hot. I'm assuming they don't have air conditioning that's why it was hot and they had the door open. There were a lot of flies which was annoying and gross because they were all over the salsa bar.

In order to leave a review I have to give it a star otherwise there would be no star. I ordered 3 asada burritos and 6 tacos. I use to like this place but I cant describe what kind of meat that was but it was NOT BEEF! It was boiled it wasn't even cooked, that is NOT authentic very disgusting and thick. The food went to the trash, I don't know what that was, this restaurant needs to reconsider who is in the kitchen cooking.
