Finally, after such a long time of eating in our car now we can sit down and have a nice meal. Absolutely love this place! Service was great food was amazing! Proportions are off the charts and if you are in the mood for some good traditional Mexican food I highly recommend this place!

I was excited to try something new in Anaheim and this was not the spot… Photos are definitely misleading. Of course I wasn’t gonna let the food go to waste so I had to give it a try…After a few bites of the “Mexican Pizza” it was definitely a disappointing pile of food. The wet Burrito was covered in some sort of American chili sauce that tasted like a chili dog. After the check came in for about $157+ for almost 5 plates it’s def not the place to comfortably eat with family. If you want some mediocre Mexican food this is your spot

We had happy hour appetizers Nacho Grande with pork chili Verde and Mini Chimichangas with shredded beef. Both were tasty and a good value.

Been going here for about 20 years. The food is consistently good, drinks are always kept full and the employees treat us like family. Mayra, Carina, Jose, Sandra, David and all the others are excellent every visit.

Highly recommend the coconut margarita; larger than average size and tastes so good I was tempted to get a second. Staff was very friendly, gave recommendations, and checked in on my group throughout the night to see if we needed anything else.

Dog water would be a better meal. This was and is the worst place to eat in Buena Park! Nothing was good, when I confronted the management about it they said oh well, talk to the front. The plate I got wasn't food, how are you guys still in business. Went here years ago when it was Don Jose's and we will never return. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Great place. Sports bar dining area on one side and family style sit down on the other side. Tvs to watch sports. Awesome food. I love their salsa.

Annual friends meal & birthday celebration. My friend comes frequently. They let us have our own checks, that is why we come here. Extra chips & salsa no problem. Plates full of food, that is important as we have to eat a second portion next day.

The food isn't fantastic but it's not bad. I haven't tried much on their menu but I'd be willing to go back & give it another try. Some of the other dishes may be better than what I ordered. The food flavor was a little different than what I'm used to when I eat Mexican food but it wasn't bad at all. Tortilla soup is a little spicy & I wasn't expecting that because I've never had spicy Tortilla soup but it was very flavorful. I'd like to see maybe some chili's next to the foods that are on the spicy side. The Salas however wasn't that spicy at all & it's REALLY good, very flavorful & tastes fresh. Service was great & the restaurant is clean & kept well.

Rodrigo’s is better in person, but their take out is still tasty. Pretty authentic, great margaritas. We really enjoy the atmosphere and service in person and it makes it worth the price. So go, sit down, and enjoy the chips and salsa.

I used to eat here all the time but once the pandemic hit they must have got rid of their chefs because everything tastes nasty. I ordered a tropical iced tea which I used to love and it literally tasted like sewage, you could even smell it. Thought it might have been the orange that comes with it but I ordered a new one and the same thing it was disgusting. They probably don't clean out their iced tea bin. I won't be back there and I was a long time customer

Love love love this place. It's the wife's favorite comfort food spot. Great 2-3 item combo meals, always plenty of chips and super tasty salsa. We often split a 3 item and its plenty after putting down a few bowls of the complimentary chips and salsa. Be sure to get a "crunchy" shredded beef taco in your combo and put some of their chip salsa in it! Spectacular. It's a fresh fried tortilla so still fairly soft but crunchy around the edges. The cheese enchilada and the chile relleno are also super tasty. They even have a Mexican pizza! It makes me sad to see their traffic seeming to go down as this place is always good and doesn't cost a fortune. It's a chain and there are more around. Don't hesitate, go! Go now! You will be back if you do, I'm sure of it.

Good food, decent size portions. Free chips and salsa when you are seated. My husband likes the chimichanga; I get fajitas and there is always enough to take some home. Parking lot can get crowded.

Cute place, nice people. That's the good part of the visit.... But... was not impressed with the food. Sorry to say. I was looking forward to a good Mex meal after dropping off the kids at Scary Farm... was it terrible? No, salsa and chips were fine, but the tortilla soup was, kind of bland, I know how is that possible? Had good components for the most part, but still bland and a little watery... I had a green pork burrito, looked good, but contained squares of tough pork, not pulled or shredded, and if you thought that was too tough, then the next fork full was a cube of fat... several of them.... this is So Cal, we were part of Mexico for gawdz sake... we don't need sub-par authentic type Mexican food... or as my wife said, nope, we won't be coming back here!

Great food and service. Definitely recommend the Rigo Special of flautas! And if you can't decide, get the Botano Platter..its an appetizer plate with several items!

Also known as the "old" Don Jose Mexican Restaurant; this place has surpassed my expectations!! Everything was just perfect. The service was excellent!! The food was delicious and brought to our table fast. The lighting is ambient and the decor has a vintage Mexican vibe. Old dark woods, a dimmer color palate and let lovely traditional art and ceramics on the walls. The Blue Agave Margarita was to die for and is a MUST have!!! We were truly impressed and are most surely going to make this our new local spot for Mexican, drinks and an all around nice evening out.

Every time I visit I make a point of trying something different and am never disappointed! Salmon dinner Seafood Enchiladas Carne Asada The coconut margaritas are very refreshing! Plus the atmosphere is great inside the lounge or dining room; cannot go wrong either way

First time dining here, start was a slight dissapointment, Happy Hour only for bar patrons, not dine in. Although it was not served in the traditional glass🍹 the Blue Agave Margarita was delish. Followed by chips & tasty salsa (not spicy)that did not disappoint😁. Chile Relleno/Chile Verde combo flavorful.
