Food: 5 stars Server: 5 stars (Linda) Front of house/pre-dining interaction: 3 stars Came here for lunch and food was terrific. Had the monte cristos and chicken gumbo. Amazing food. Had a great server who was fast, efficient, and great with dealing with less than happy guests. Why were we unhappy - seated outside, with a prior reservation, and when told wanted to sit inside we were told that would be a 40 minute wait because we did not have a reservation….but we had a reservation made months ago. Disneyland CA has not been very good with problem solving or guest accommodation. Seems like the Disney way of customer service is not so prevalent in Anaheim. This very much could have been and should have been a 5 star experience but again initial interactions with hosts and restaurant staff soured what would have been a perfect experience. Food was great and I do recommend.

That monte cristo Sandwich is pretty dang tasty! Really enjoyed the fries and sauce that came with it as well! Also got a cup of chicken gumbo that turned out way better than I thought! Overall this was a great place. I wish drinks didn't cost so much in the park haha but the waiter was so awesome he gave us free refills of everything and to go mint Juleps! Food was reasonably priced too. One thing about Disney is they help with my portion control haha

Getting a reservation didn’t seem as competitive as the coveted Blue Bayou. This place is arguably better. The food here is absolutely wonderful. Everything was delicious. Monte Cristo was THE best food item I’ve ever eaten in the entire park. The service was great (no surprise considering it’s Disney). If weather permits, ask for outside seating if possible. Inside seating seemed a little boring. This is the best restaurant in the park, and will likely be the best meal you’ve ever had at Disneyland.

I'm so glad we were able to snag lunch reservations here. Originally, I planned this place because my husband likes monte Cristos but when he saw how thickly breaded they were he chose something else. Our food was fantastic and I enjoyed that the kids meals had healthy options. Service was excellent and location great. If you can get a reservation I definitely recommend this place

I honestly don't know why people give this such high reviews. The service was abysmal, it took 20 minutes before the waitress even bothered to come over despite serving other tables in our area. One of the chairs for the table was dirty and despite trying to get someone to help clean it, the other waiterstaff/bus boys refused to make eye contact less they'd have to help. The food took forever to come out but when it did it was fine and priced as expected in the parks. The kids meal was oddly simple and not as one would expect. Easily the worst part of today's park trip.

You typically need reservations to eat here. You Make the reservations through the app. I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. My friend got the risotto and we shared a creme brulee. The food was all very tasty and I was happy with the portion size and eating at a sit-down restaurant. There's inside dining and outside dining. It's a good spot for people watching in New Orleans square. I didn't feel rushed. We were also one of the last parties to be seated for the day. They close the restaurant early for Fantasmic.

Finally made it to Disneyland and this was early dinner on our first day. I though the table placements for the restaurant a bit odd. Our table was in such a weird spot. It also took a bit of time for our waitress to pass by, introduce herself and take our food order. Beyond that, this restaurant deserves a 5 star. My food was so delicious - I ordered the roasted chicken with vegetables. Our food came quick and our waitress was so sweet.

We ordered the chicken and the Monte Cristo sandwich, with the soup and gumbo. The chicken came with two pieces, but somehow one piece was juicy and flavourful, but the other piece was dry and unappetizing. The sandwich was definitely not noteworthy. Soup was decent. It was very mediocre food for way too much money. The mint julep and the service was excellent but did not make up for the cafeteria quality food.

Well worth the wait! Also use the app to join the Walk-Up list. We probably could have gotten in 30 minutes sooner if we used the app on our way to the restaurant vs after the host told us to use the app. Food was savory and the accommodate food allergies with respect and grace. We had a chef come to our table to make sure all my wife's dietary requirements were met. This was great reassurance that they cared about our well being over turn over. Special thanks to Ana for coming to our table twice to double check and share information about our food options.

I love everything Disney. It’s more special when there is more great food here. My go-to place to eat at Disneyland is here. Making reservations isn’t too complicated. Usually takes me a week to make this reservation. It’s just me and my toddler. (But make reservations ahead of time because the wait can be long.) Once entering the staff is always welcoming. Very kind and friendly. Our server is also friendly and down to earth. Always smiling and thoughtful. The food is excellent. My toddler got the Kids Mickey Mouse Mac and Cheese. It’s always a plus when it comes with fresh strawberries. Other places have apple sauce. I always get the roasted chicken but instead with the potatoes I get the rice because I have a sensitivity with dairy. Everything I order here is so amazing. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, it was excellent, ate every last bite. My wife got the shrimp pasta, she said it was very good and very filling. Outstanding job on the atmosphere, really felt like being in a New Orleans Cafe. We had a pre-made reservation but it seemed like they were taking walk ins.

Where to start. We booked here based off of reviews and thought it was a good choice, we were wrong. We ordered our food within 5 minutes and it took 1 hour to get our food (and we were missing an item). We ordered the risotto, 2 Monte cristo sandwiches and a cup of the gumbo. The gumbo never came and the waitress was like oh I didn't hear you say gumbo do you still want it? Even though she said the order back to us with gumbo. So we waited longer for that to come. The food did not taste very good and the sandwiches tasted very oily and doughy. The meat was different colours in both sandwiches which seemed kind of weird one sandwich had bright pink meat and the other had almost white meat. Was not worth the price we paid and would not recommend to anyone.

One of my favorite dishes at Disneyland is served here. The Monte Cristo sandwich is delicious. In a sea of burgers and chicken tenders, this is worth a taste.

Great Disney restaurant to for some Disney dinning and rest. Ordered the 3 cheese monte cristo and it was so good! If you enjoy Brie, Swiss and mozzarella then I highly recommended it. If you want to balance out the fried carbs then opt for the salad rather than the fries. The significant other ordered the prix fixe menu and ate the very tender slow cooked braised short rib. Both dishes came out hot including the plate. She also had the soup and special haunted mansion candle dessert! Everything we ate was delicious! Service on the other hand was not rude but it was not in your normal friendly happy Disneyland manner. He seemed rush taking our order and serving us. The bus boy also wanted to take our plates / dishes away before we were finished. Lastly, dessert should be served after we finished our main entrees. I was not expecting that they would bring out our dessert while we were still eating. This definitely felt rushed, most likely to try to accommodate as many guests as they can during their lunch hours. That’s understandable to try to serve as many guests but please don’t bring our dessert out while we are still eating our main. Our candle burned as we ate our meal. I wanted to enjoy the Disney dinning experience but the service was a turn off. Tip 1: make reservations through the app. Saw lots of people trying to make walk up reservations but were denied. Tip 2: ask for the mint julep as your fountain drink. And if you don’t finish it, ask for a to go cup… you might get a surprise!

I would have given a 5 star but the 2 girls at the front desk are not Disney Friendly. When you need to tell someone there's a long wait, don't make sound like a joke. PLEASE. But after an hour and a half wait we did finally order. Girlfriend had the Battered & Fried Triple Cheese Monte Cristo Sandwich which she liked but was a little too dry. I had the Pasta Jambalaya which was really good. Just would have liked a little more sauce. Overall it was a decent meal but not for the money.

We ordered the monte cristo, jambalaya, agrodolce, and ahi tartare. I ordered the jambalaya, but it was too spicy for me so I ate the monte cristo. It was really good, the jam it comes with adds a lot and the fries are probably the best I’ve had. The small bites were kind of just okay. Service was great.

This was our 1st time eating at Cafe Orleans. We were able to get a reservation for 2, while in the park after the restaurant opened. The tables are small & we felt cramped. The gumbo was good. The dessert the star of the meal. I was completely surprised & definitely will go back for more. The Burrata & Prosciutto lacked something, will ask for a different or more dressing next time.

Seating can get a little cramp, but the food here is great. They have a nice variety to choose from including vegetarian options. Two different types of Monte cristo sandwiches. You get endless mint juleps and the gumbo was amazing. Great Disneyland service and overall definitely a restaurant to try.

This was my first time at Cafe Orleans. I recommend trying to get a reservation on the website. I got the braised short ribs, and my friend got the Monte Cristo sandwich. I think the braised short ribs were so much better than the hyped sandwich. It was juicy and tender. The dairy-free creme brulee is a lifesaver for those who are lactose intolerant like me. It was the perfect sweet ending to the savory meal.

Love this place. Aside from Blue Bayou, Carnatic Cafe, Cafe Orleans is a hidden gem and those are my top three best restaurants in Disneyland. The others do not compare. Love their gumbo. Love their potatoes. Love their food it's honestly so delicious but if you truly want something savory and can't decide, I highly recommend the chicken. So delicious the flavor is wonderful and the vegetables and mashed potatoes with it are so delicious. I always pray and hope they never get rid of it when I make my yearly round to the parks. They even have this sauce that goes along with it it's so addicting and the jasmine rice soaks up the rest. Truly delicious -! The cast members are always so kind whenever we come here.

One of the few eating establishments in Disneyland that I will absolutely eat at again. I had the gumbo and a salad, which were so fresh and satisfying. My fiancé had the monte cristo, which was very pretty but I was told that it was disappointing as a meal. The fries were very delicious and I would definitely recommend them as a tasty snack! We did have reservations and the check in process was smooth and we were seated and served very promptly. The service was great and even more so considering that this was during prime lunch hour on a beautiful Sunday morning.

Ate here as part of a tour group, as it is probably not one of the places in the park I would have picked on my own. It was a decent meal, generous portions, and we managed to grab up some fun little desserts in the end. Not sure if I would come back as I have other favorites on property, but it is certainly worth visiting at least once.

Make sure to have a reservation ahead of time or you have to wait for quite awhile as it does get busy. My family loves this place. The service is excellent and the food is wonderful! They currently have some really good seasonal food on the menu for Halloween and we enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend the mint Julep!

Cafe Orleans is a Cajun style restaurant in the New Orleans district of Disneyland Park, next to the Purates of the Caribbean ride. It's usually pretty packed here as it's one of the more popular restaurants inside this park. They have tons of tables, but are pretty much always filled, so its advised to make a reservation days ahead of time if you can. The staff are nice and friendly, and very quick with the food. Their menu isn't super big but the food itself is pretty good. The braised short rib was so good, and the Caesar Salad was huge for a side. Honestly the prices aren't too bad considering it's inside Disneyland, which nay be another reason why it's always busy.

Great and fast service. The farrow risotto was not pleasant, and I only had 1 bite, but the server did not charge us. The ratatouille was not what we expected but the components individually tasted good. The mint julep and Monte Cristo were delicious.
