Disney's World of Colors is undeniably one of Disney's greatest creations! It showcases unparalleled creativity, taking imagination to extraordinary heights and delivering a mesmerizing spectacle. For the best viewing experience, head to the center of the viewing area, directly opposite the Mickey Ferris wheel. While standing in front of the railing, be prepared to get a little wet, feel the heat, and immerse yourself in the breathtaking display. Arriving early ensures a front-row seat to one of the most exceptional shows in the world. Even after watching it more than ten times, I still can't get enough of it. However, I believe that if Disney applied the same level of creative thinking to enhance the viewing and enjoyment of the show, similar to how we have in Six Flags' dolphin show, it would be truly outstanding. This approach should also be extended to the world-famous fireworks show and the fantastic Fantasmic show.

Such an enjoyable show, I recommend doing the dining or dessert options. Bring a sweater or a blanket, it's a bit brisk out on the pier.

Be prepared to get wet and watch from the front row. It's a water and light show, but it's a really great show. The fountain rises right near the viewing area, so you'll get wet in front of you. However, we recommend sitting in the front row where you can watch it in full force! Since it was a weekday, I was able to see it in a good spot even 30 minutes early.

It was one of the most beautiful shows that I've ever experienced. It's magical just like Disneyland itself. It never gets old.

I've seen this show a handful of times over the years and it keeps getting better and better. Truly the best show that Disney does and is worth staying for / getting a park hopper if you only have one day at Disney. As of right now, they open up the virtual queue at noon, so try to snag a spot if you can. If you get into the yellow or blue sections, go down to the "splash zone" half an hour early and get a spot at the railing. You don't get wet anymore, it's more like a fine mist that'll rain upon you and it's the best spot. Even if a few people are in front of you because you can't get the rail, the projections are large enough that you won't miss anything. Imo, it's not worth getting a dining package when virtual queue is available and to be fair, any spot is a good viewing spot, even if you're on the bridge of Pixar Pier. My tip is to catch the second show as well as it's not nearly as crowded as the first. I was just there a few days ago and the second show had MAYBE fifty people waiting for it, at most. Given that it was really cold out and during this crazy weather California has been having, but it was insane to see how few people were there. Imo, this show outweighs Fantasmic and if you have to pick between fireworks, Fantasmic or this, go with World of Color. You won't regret it. It's like nothing else you've ever seen before. They utilize the ferris wheel, the lighting on Incredicoaster, the lamps surrounding you. There's fire, there's pretty lights, there's good music, all your favorite movies are shown. There's everything. The new show they've done for the 100th might be their best, though their 60th anniversary show was really well done too. Kids might prefer Fantasmic more because of the princesses and princes that show up, but they'll still enjoy WoC when they see movies they love projected.

First time to Disney California Adventure Park on 6/8/2023. We walked over a few minutes before the show started at 9:00pm. It was packed and there was no good places left to watch the show. You really need to come over earlier to stake out a good spot to watch it especially when the park is packed during the summer. Right as we were confused as to where to go, a Disney cast member (as they call all their employees) came over and offered us the best magical surprise - VIP seats to the show! I could not believe they were offering those seats to us - we were so surprised and so grateful! So we were able to see the World of Color - ONE show without any issue and all while sitting down! It was such a blessing to us as I have autoimmune issues post exertion disorder (which this employee could not have known about) and being able to sit for that show really made a huge difference to us. Now, we never saw the original World of Color option (except at a distance last year from a hotel balcony), so we were sad there were no giant fireballs this time around. However, the ONE show was beautiful. They project images onto a mist water-screen, along with colored lights, and water jets lit up by lights. The show encouraged people to make the world a better place and had a lot of fun songs in it. I was singing along for a good portion of it. They used a lot of diverse characters from their movies, but I did miss some classic characters that were left out like most of the princesses. At the end of a very long day, this was a perfect ending. Thank you so much!

The 2023 World of Color dessert party was amazing. Each person got a huge plate with cheese, crackers, grapes, and several different cakes and treats. Not one person in our group was able to finish. Plus, free drinks. The show itself, well it's impressive and loud but not especially moving. The show in 2015 (Celebrate) brought us to tears. This show was not like that but still very enjoyable. We brought Disneyland first-timers, and having a front row seat was spectacular for them.

A wonderful show with lots of colour in it. There isn't really much of a "story" to it and some parts don't join well. Otherwise, stay for the water show!

Mind blowing performance. Regardless of ages and cultures, you will love it If you can, get fast pass for early entrance. Get to the front about an 45 min before the show time. You can get wet from mist. They ask people to stand up during the show

Disney's California Adventure is a fun time and seems to be less crowded than the main Disneyland park. The rides are just as entertaining as though at Disneyland and the prices for food and such similar between the parks.

Great place to bring the kids. Plenty of things for them to do and a slower pace than Disneyland.

Don't get me wrong, I like the world of color, but it's slightly overhyped, and unless you get in the virtual que, which I didn't know existed, you're going to have a hard time finding a spot to stand and watch the show. Classic Disney. Once you've watched 3 minutes of the show, you're good to start riding rides again.

Totally love the World of Color water show here. We didn't have the best views this time because we didn't save a spot soon enough. Last time we came we loved it so much we waited few hours for next show and had great views.

Amazing show!!! So colorful and fun to watch!! only wished we didn't have to stand for so long before the show, and you need to reserve to get really close to watch it.

Absolutely stunning and a very unique performance! As someone who lives in Orlando I think Disney World should take note! 👀

I've been to parks in Japan many times with an annual pass, and I've also been to WDW, but this was the best Disney show I've ever seen! To be honest, the shows at Tokyo Disney Resort recently were lacking in enthusiasm, so this show was even more amazing lol

Still love the wonderful show, however, do not be deceived by the Preferred dining packages. The viewing area for The World of Color preferred dining packages are no longer in the front where you can sit next to the railing, get wet, or feel the heat. You're sitting in the 3rd area from the front, in the circular section behind the first set of steps (see pictures and video), so this is no longer worth the money you pay for any preferred dining package (in my opinion). My kids always love to sit in the front. But if you prefer a further view, this may be the option for you. The viewing at the very front is now for the general audience that reserves via the virtual queues. So, it's free and better viewing to go that route. I asked a cast member who confirmed this was the new area for people who paid for preferred dining packages. According to the cast member, it was felt that we're actually getting a "better" viewing area now because it's a little higher due to the steps and now we don't have to worry about getting wet. In my opinion, this is the kool-aid we've been asked to drink but if you're of an independent mind, you should know better. I also noticed that the viewing area for the Dessert Viewing party is now 3x the size of what it used to be, all across the back of the viewing area taking up all of the room of where most general viewing used to be. So, we all see the money grab here. They took away a lot of general viewing in the back (to make more money on that option), so they had to make it up by allowing more up front, but in doing so had to cut away the viewing area from Preferred dining. This change in the viewing area is not listed anywhere in the dining package, the world of color page or anywhere else on the Disney site. Very deceiving in my opinion. I would never pay so much money to sit so far away from a show and stand. If you want to sit up front, go for free and get in the virtual queue.
