It took 20 minutes to get seated, even though several booths were open. We placed our order and when my salad was delivered the lettuce was wilted and gross. I did get another salad but it too was not good. In addition the window edge is dirty and small flies around the window. Not very happy with restaurant today.

It was a good experience for our first time at any Norms restaurants. We showed up on a Friday around 10 am. A few parking spots available, we thought the restaurant was really busy, but it really wasn’t. The restaurant look clean and well lit, not too noisy inside, but the bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention (a bit dirty, and it smelled really bad) We waited about 3 minutes before we were taken to our table. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food did take about 20 minutes to come out (maybe because it four of us, who knows). Our waitress was very kind, polite, and friendly. She took our orders quickly, and she was always attentive with our table. Our food came out great, it was accurate, it was tasty, and it was a good quantity for the price. We ordered the California Omelette x 2, and we an order of the chilaquiles. The three plates had very good flavor. Will try again in the future!

I am most definitely not a norms person, but our server was super friendly, my food was a bit cold and the gumbo soup was bad. But over all not to bad sense the staff was very friendly. A bit more pricey then expected but you do get Generous portions.

If you are looking for a cheap sit-in restaurant not caring for quality of food, this will be your shop. We were a party of three lured by the high ratings of Google. Turns out to be a bad choice. Service was very slow as the restaurant was very under staffed. Waiting 25 minutes for our foods to come (same did people sitting around us). The chefs platter was over fried and crust was too thick, not even comparable to Carls Jr. Barbecue ribs were hard and overcooked. Strawberry milk shake was too too creamy. I would not recommend to anyone unless you just want cheap price for a (bad) sit in experience.

Our server was amazing, she was friendly, attentive even thought it was a busy night. I wish I lived closer to this location as I would go more often.

Food was great, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress was slow and never came back to see if we needed anything. My husband had to get up and ask for syrup, coffee, and water. The cashier was rude

Service was excellent as they were a little slow. Wife had Chicken Fried Chicken and we really liked it. However, the mashed potatoes were out of a box and vegetables were overcooked. Salad was good but soup needed lots of salt pepper and some hot sauce to give it some flavor. Bathroom could have been a lot cleaner. If you stick to the basics, it's cheap and it's descent.

Absolutely amazing time! I love the Norms brand. Came late this afternoon early evening. Sated promptly. Host was VERY friendly, fun and presentable . Server was friendly, gave plenty of refills. Burger was Absolutely amazing. Great taste, great freshness , the cheese was perfectly melted on. Everything was perfect and I'm looking forward to coming back soon.

We were seated quickly upon arrival. Our drinks came to us in a timely manner. I ordered hot tea and found no silverware and napkins on the table. It made it difficult to stir my tea. Index finger works fine, though. My boyfriend ordered a wonderful breakfast combo, and I ordered the steak, medium rare, with veggies, mashed taters, salad plus potato soup. Very good tasting. Our silverware finally arrived in time to eat, and we saw three different smiling faces throughout the evening. IMO, the Norm's on Katella is a quieter older crowd vibe versus the Norm's on Euclid in Anaheim. It's a younger, louder crowd there. The inside noise level makes it hard for my 62 year old ears to hear my boyfriend sitting right next to me. Good food still.

I love Norms...normally!! The restaurant was FREEZING! Like eating outside! NO HEAT!! I just had the most RUDE waiter in my lifetime!! I thought I would try their $5.99 limited time menu...I ordered a quesadilla. Who can mess that up? I was supposed to have chips...there were a couple of token broken ones!! There wasn't much of anything inside, nor enough cheese to stick it together! Worse was I thought there was bacon? Nope, it was a few disgusting pieces of burned chicken!! I asked if I could change it to something else...he said "NO"!! THAT was the most bizarre part of it all! I took one bite when I asked...my dog wouldn't even eat it!! My worst experience at Norms, in my life!! They should be embarrassed!!

Good American comfort food at a good price. Unlike a lot of restaurants Norms has not cut back portion sizes to save money; you still get soup and salad with most meals. At the same time they continue to offer different specials and discounts. What I admire most is the hard work and hustle of the staff. Mayra, our server on Sunday, was able to manage a full house and not miss a beat. The people act like they enjoy the work and want to do a good job.

I've been a big fan of Norm's for nearly 40 years and every time I've had good food and good service. The dinning room is always clean even when it's busy. All I can say is if there's a Norm's near you that you should stop and give it a try.

Burnt pancakes homeless person selling fireworks in the restaurant? Sounds ridiculous to say but it happened no one made her leave? Great service you drop the ball. Mine was cold. I'm not a person that's going to send it back. YOU SERVE BREAKFAST don't give me the we were busy nonsense I was there. The place was empty

Not what we were expecting!!! Food was very bland and no flavor. I believe an IHOP and Denny’s have better taste. For the same price, for me to leave the food and my wife and kid not finished there pancakes tells you a lot. The service was good restroom need to be attended and cleaned more frequently. Our weight was only 15 minutes what was a good thing.

Wait time has never been more than 20 minutes on a Sunday for my party of 7. Today was 5 min or less. We are not from town, so when we visit Disneyland (monthly) this is the breakfast pit stop. Service has always been great/friendly. The manager has always interacted and been attentive. The food is good, not going to say this is the best breakfast I've ever had, but it's good enough to make it our preferred breakfast spot in the area. Bathrooms have always been clean.

Once a month, we come down to orange to get ink done, and this is our go-to spot for breakfast. Good coffee, great food at great pricing. Come in hungry, leave happy! Reminds me of Don's Family restaurant which was in Burbank and Victorville.

They had a promotion for a free socal breakfast. I went in there ordered it and did all what they asked (downloaded the app and signed up) but the guy at the front desk still charged me full price for the meal. I paid for it. This is false advertising! And completely illegal! Don't advertise something for free if you have to pay full price for it! The server who served me was really nice and welcoming though.

Ordered sour cream, butter, and chives with my baked potato that came with the meal. Also ordered an extra butter for my veggies and steak. Didn't get the chives, sour cream, or extra butter, so that kind of sucked. The food was great though, I can easily give it 4.5 stars for a diner. I absolutely LOVED the garlic mushrooms, and I wish their online menu allowed for a way to add an extra order of it! I would definitely pay additionally for an extra side of garlic mushrooms (my girlfriend and I love garlic mushrooms). Ultimately what brings my review down is that I just wished I got the condiments I ordered. But half of that is on me as the consumer for not checking before I left. Maybe next time I'll check :)

Worst service EVER, restaurant was at approximately less than half capacity but my waiter (Oscar) acted as though it was at full capacity, no sense of urgency or wait service etiquette. Oscar stopped at my table twice, once to ask for my order and second to drop off my food. I was not offered drink refill or was I asked if I needed anything else, I had to wait 5 mins for my check. I usually go to Whittier and Pico Rivera Norms where the service is 5 stars ALWAYS.

We went to Norms in Orange last night for dinner. No real specials any more. Prices raised (that is pretty much everywhere). 1/2 pound burger is 2 small patties, not like the thick patty pictured on menu. Soo cold inside we were not only freezing but food got cold before we were halfway through... disappointing for sure

Norms used to be excellent. One of my favorites. Over the last 3 to 4 years some of the menu items have gotten smaller and almost doubled in price. No longer the value I got used to.

Under staffed at 5:30pm. 22 min before drink order taken. 18 min for food order taken. Server was great. Kind and helpful but there were only 3 servers for the entire restaurant. The busboy jumped in where he could. The steak was boarder line cold while being over cooked (medium to medium well when medium rare was requested. It must have been under the heat lamps too long). However, the rest of the meal was hot and good.

What an enjoyable visit. When I told hostess that I had a wheelchair coming, he immediately said he had 2 perfect spots for us. As soon as my party came, he took us to the spot for wheelchairs that was perfect fir my friend.. Always a smile. One of the best Norms I've been in. Excellent service and great food. Thank you all so much.

The best part was our server. The food was mediocre at best. Just the worst idea I've had for a late dinner. Should have gone to a drive thru somewhere.

I love this place. I grew up near here and have been enjoying their food most of my life. My son likes it and always wants to eat here whenever we're in town.

Norms was perfect. They were short staffed because it was around 4 pm, but the service was good. Food was served promptly, drink refills were provided. The steaks were good, the shrimp was good. Dinner combos included salad and soup. We did not leave hungry for our $19 dinner combos. They were not skimping on quality, nor quantity.

This place has gotten very expensive for a simple mediocre breakfast. $20 for one person with hot tea. Regarding that, I was almost finished with my meal by the time I got hot water. Not going back.

Cannot recommend this location or chain in good conceious any more. Received replated and tainted food. It was not an accident and two of the cooks, working on the afternoon of 8/13, were well aware of what they were doing. Based on the response of a waitresses who witnessed the food received, it is apparent that the staff is well aware of this dangerous behavior and are therefore all working at this establishment are likely willingly participanting by allowing this behavior to happen (and most likely continue). Very shameful. This is a serious matter that should be addressed by management and public health officials in a timely matter. I do not like to leave this type of feedback, and have only done so once in the past, but it is necessary. Best to all. All means all.
