The parking is non-existent , so you’re going to have to find somewhere to back. There’s always a line , however it moves very quickly. I’m originally from Compton but now I reside in North OC , so this place is a mission from my house . It’s hard to get a good tamale in OC. I stood in line for about 15 mins. I ordered 30 chicken tamales,20 Beef and 10 cheese for my family to share for my 36th birthday. I spent under 100 bucks by the way. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I’m black so sometimes there’s a language barrier. The kitchen was in plan view and everyone was working hard , the kitchen was clean and well maintained . I enjoyed the quaint atmosphere that had a nice shrine to Pancho Villa . The tamales were ready in under 5 minutes. Piping hot , 3 bags full . One of the first things I appreciated is the presentation of the tamales. They were wrapped in paper that displayed the names on them. I’ve never seen that prior to this. The tamales were freshly made . And for them to be mass produced daily, I still could taste the quality. The meat to masa ratio was on point. I got plenty meat in my tamales. The beef tamales were my favorite, but the chicken was not far behind I’d double back for these weekly for sure . It’s not so far that it’s not worth it . This place is a GEM! , support this business for sure . I’m a proud that these places are still around . I would have gave 5 stars if it wasn’t for the terrible parking. The tamales are A1 , and you can get them every day . Not just during Christmas time .

Free parking across the street. This Tamalería has by far the best tamales in all of los Ángeles. many places sell great tasting tamales but these are the only ones I don't get tired of eating. They taste Fresh, are homemade style and so delicious. Please take my word and experience their wonderful taste. The Tamalería has free private parking across the street. In addition, someone is there keeping watch of your vehicle. The ladies preparing the food are really polite and respectful.

Went early in the morning.I'd asked for cheese & jalapeno Tamales and was told they were out. To my surprise a more experience customers service rep went and got some fresh from pot in back. Now that great customer service. I'd bought 2doz cost $57. They were hot and fresh. They are usually busy, need more parking. cars double park to patronize them.

I don't come here as much as I would like. But when I do, then I like the limited edition sweet tamales. They was sold out when I got there but the green chili never disappoint. But i must say get here early, weekends is the best time to get a variety of flavors.

WARNING:Only come during the Holidays when Tamales are fresh. I got old chicken Tamales and it got me and my daughter sick. She had to go to emergency room. Vomit and Diarrhea all week. Tamales tasted old and the chicken was weird color. Absolutely unacceptable how the quality has gone down due too high demand. This could have killed my baby. Will not be returning.

I love tamales, I can eat 4-6 tamales per seating. I know that's not healthy, but I only eat them during the holidays. The tamales from here are different, the pork tamales have pickled jalapeños in them also it has a larger amount of lard which costs me bad heartburn and upset stomach after eating 2 of them. If you can handle these tamales, give them a try, you might like them. If not, you might have a bad time for a few hours.

I've bought tamales In like 4 different tamalerias in beautiful LA and believe me: this ones are one of the best, but there is one issue here!! There is NO parking and either someone drops you off and picks you up when you're done shopping or look for a parking in the neighborhood ,I think either way is good and worth it if you want to enjoy some assorted delicious TAMALES 🙂

Best tamales around the town. Never disappointed with my pick up orders. Family members always love the flavor. Very good ratio of masa to meat.

My family and I have been looking for a quality and reliable place to buy tamales from, whether it be from a shop or even from a simple abuelita selling them at the corner of a stop. This place is quite literally the best tamales I've had. We were recommended it by my father's coworker and this really did tick all the boxes for quality tamales. The tamales de elote were perfectly sweet, the tamales de puerco were perfectly spicy, and the champurrado was hot and smooth. Buying the dozen is also quite a deal! Definitely recommend.

The pork tamales are tasty. The reason that I am giving this location three stars is because there's hardly any beef in the tamal. Very disappointed. The corn tamales are a better option.

Totally recommend this place. The tamales de Birria 🤤 pork, and chicken in green sauce. It's a must try. The tamales are just right. It tends to get busy. Good for this sweater weather season coming.

I came across this place 12 yrs ago. I come here when I'm too lazy to make them myself, which I will have to for now on. I usually get the chicken and corn tamales because I don't like the way they make the pork or beef. I went by today and could not eat the chicken tamale I unwrapped. The chicken was plain and dry. It didn't have the usual green chile taste. For too long, it's either a hit or miss here. The champurado tasted more like hot chocolate instead of an original champurado recipe. It's not worth the trip for me.

You cannot beat $2 a tamal price. And the tamales are exceptional. I picked up a few dozen of each style. In and out quick because Everything is hot and ready. They never run out. When I cancel the order cause arrival time is nine o'clock I didn't notice started.

I've bought tamales from a few different places and people from around LA, but these tamales are very good, and I would say amongst one of the bests that I enjoy picking up from. Though the only issue would be the whole parking situation, I don't think it is that much of a hassle to order ahead, park the car some distance and just picking it up or unless you have someone with you than a quick grab and go. With the amount of ones that they have on sell I feel like you will be able to find the one that you want to enjoy with some coffee

This place is awesome. They never disappoint. The tamales are always delicious and warm , the champurrado is the best I've had in a long time. It's always tasty not too sweet just the perfect balance. The sweet corn tamales are amazing plus the pineapple tamales on Saturday are yummy

Tamales are ok, the quality of the priduct has been on a decline. They are now making the elote tamales smaller. The cheese tamales sometimes lack flavor so the quality is not consistent.

Love this place. The corn tamales, I recommend. Parking. There is none. I recommend: have someone drive and another get out and go buy the tamales. Drive might need to drive around the block. Driver might get lucky and fine a parking space.

When you walk in it’s pretty cool to see big time tamale making operation going on! This is my first time taste tested bought 2 pork, 2 beef, 2 corn and 2 chicken they were out of cheese tamales late evening on a saturday night. Out of 1700 plus reviews they have 4.5 stars on google reviews which is pretty good. I liked the pork waiting to try the corn later. Someone was raving about the elote (corn) tamales which is why I wanted to try them drive there in the first place. I like the red Chile they use on the beef but there was a smell from the beef that I did not like. I'd probably order more corn than others next time by pass the beef all together. This time around it was sort of a taste test I don't believe you will be missing much on the beef. Although it seemed to be shredded beef maybe it was poor quality not sure. There is no on site parking only street parking which is hard to come by be patient. At $2.07 a tamale I would say a small tamale I’d probably go back fare pricing. So far the ELOTE are a hit in my casa. They packed the tamales in a bag that was greasy on the outside as well asked for a double bag and was on my way.

I always go there for tamales de elote🌽. My whole family loves them. I have to say that they are becoming really expensive and very small, same quality but less quantity.

I like shopping locally owned mom n pop stores. WISH I had found this gem years ago! Now that I have, I'm delighted to spend my money here! Their tamales are on point, elote, queso n chili, pork tamales, chicken, beef, they are TERRIFIC! The staff could not be nicer and the even sell menudo ( Saturday /Sunday) earlier then any place around, 6 am!

Pork, corn tamale where the best but chicken was a definite no and cheese was 50/50. Long lines but move at a decent paste.

😠 If I could give 0 stars I would. We contracted them to cater a party and showed up an hour late. Showed up with one person to serve 150+ people. Our guest waited an HOUR in line for tacos. We had agreed to have them bring the lonchera but that didn’t happen. The guy showed up with a negative attitu...
