I would like to share my personal experience giving birth at this hospital because before I gave birth at this hospital I looked at the reviews and they were mostly all terrible reviews which frightened me so much especially because it wasn’t only me anymore it was my baby also that was going to get delivered here. I asked my OB to change me hospitals because of the reviews but due to my insurance I couldn’t. Once again I’m sharing my personal experience and how it went for me and my baby. The moment I got there the nurses in the labor and delivery were so nice to me. They made me feel comfortable and helped me stay calm as I was having a scheduled c section. Then they took me to the OR and all the doctors in there were so sweet as well especially my OB doctor whom delivered my baby via c section his name is Dr Hamzeh. After my baby was born and out of my womb it was time to head to Mommy and Baby Floor to recover and the nurses there were all amazing and very attentive. Here are the names of a few nurses that I am extremely thankful for; RN Lourdes, Adriana, Carolina, Jill, and a couple more whom I can’t remember their names. They are angels. They were great to my baby and I and constantly asked me if I needed anything or helped me get out of the bed and go restroom. I was discharged in 2 days after having a c section which I was impressed and grateful for. I was admitted 4/16- 4/18/2022. I have nothing bad to say about this hospital from the floors I experienced which were Labor and Delivery, OR, and Mommy and Baby.

Today I had the worst experience in my life this hospital is the worst place to take your love one's..my mother has been in this hospital for a week in level 7 burn area ...today I went to visit my mother for an hour after that hour the main Nurse comes in when I was about to leave and starts asking me questions like making time for something..while talking to her she brought in the room security to take me out for no reason at all I'm talking about 4 security guards as she was asking me to leave she tells the security gaurds to check my phone if I recorded anything of what happened there ..me and my wife felt so embarrassed and humiliated. I currently filled a civil law suit and complaint to the state medical board about this situation beware this hospital do not care for there visitors staff was very rude and thankfully my mother did not react to what happened would write more of what happened. Very disappointed. This Hospital is the worst place to take anyone.

My man was in a motorcycle accident 6/2022. he broke his leg from his thigh down to his foot. Dr. Put in an apparatus to hold it in place. The staff on the 7th floor where rude, and they ignored him, anytime he pressed the Call Nurse button, the nurse asked: "can I help you? He asked for pain meds, and get no response she said nothing just tuned it off. I did not believe him when he told me how they treated him, but as I sat there I witnessed it for myself. He can not get up to use the restroom. I visit early every day but the onetime I went in the evening, I notice his door which was out of glass, was closed and the curtain was closed. They had him in the burn unit. I walk in asked why was it close, he said "I have to use the restroom, I can't get anyones attention, I'm being ignored and look I pulled off all the wires from my chest and still no one comes in to check on me." I walked out to get his nurse 13 minutes later she walks in ask if he need to use the restroom then stopped and noticed his monitor, "what happen, you pull them off?"" I responded "he sure did trying to get your attention. He could have been dying and no one would have came to help him. I'm not saying the hospital it bad. Don'tget me wrong, the Doctors and the Surgeons did a wonderful job putting him back together. It's the "FEMALE" nurses on the 7th floor, who had no respect for the patients they stand outside the rooms laughing and gasping about personal issues to each other instead of doing there job. I hope this issue with the nurses staff on the 7th floor gets resolved, cause all patients should be treated with care and respect no matter who you are.

Worst hospital experience ever. My check in nurse was great she was sincere and gave me a since of comfort. However, when I awoke from surgery I woke up in a real nutshow of a hospital. Understaffed, unable to put in a IV correctly, never checked on without you pinging up to 4 times. No assistance to to restroom. All I would get was sorry we are not under staffed

If you care about your health go somewhere else. Overflowing ER. Incomplete practitioner that was about as real as her blond hair. Procedures performed in the hallways completely in violation to my right to privacy. Worst ER experience in my life. I left one star because I can’t leave zero stars.

The first bout of surgery I was supposed to have done. The nurse that prepped me was great but when I got into surgery. They didn't have everything they needed for my procedure and told me I would have to come back. Needless to say, I'm home still in pain, instead of keeping me to have my procedure done next day they sent me home. And still have no answers?this was two days ago

My husband had the misfortune to fall at a department store and they called the paramedics. He should’ve been taken to HOAG, but there was a ten-car accident on the 405 and the Hoag emergency room could not take another patient. There are other hospitals in the area, however, the ambulance driver unilaterally chose to take him to OC Global Medical. I gave OC Gm one star simply because it’s the only way to leave a comment. I would not give them any stars. Communication from professional staff to patients and the patient’s family was sparse, at best. Little was explained, and only after persevering. Despite the threat of Covid, my husband was placed in a shared room, which was changed at my insistence. This is a doctor-owned hospital and if I were one of those doctors I’d be ashamed to have my name on the facility. Doctors come when they’re available, on-call doctors are unreachable. Doctors don’t update orders, so when a person goes from being NPO to being able to eat solid food, the nurses don’t know and don’t care. It needs a fresh coat of paint and renovation, but clearly that’s not in their budget. The place is a dump . I cannot emphasize more the place is a dump. They lost one of his personal items, despite being the ones responsible for his personal items. They asked no questions about his health condition. It was only my information, given verbally in-person, that influenced their decisions; to put in another way, I had to insist on certain drugs not being used because they were contraindicated for his kidney condition. They are not consumer- or patient-oriented. They must be the only hospital in OC that does not allow family to stay overnight in the room. I did not ask for a bed or a cot, merely a blanket, assuming I would be allowed to stay overnight in my husband’s room, only to be told it was against hospital policy. The only reason I did not take him out of the hospital, was not that it would be against medical advice and the insurance wouldn’t pay, but because it was a head injury and I was afraid there might be small bleeds and only a CT scan would reveal that in the morning. I truly hope he will be alive in the morning to receive the CT scan, given the ignorance, indifference, and gross lack of communication from staff to patient. I’m quite certain my husband will not be discharged until very late in the day tomorrow; if it’s one minute before 4 PM, I will be stunned. They are tacking on every possible CYA they can think of and it’s clear they need the money because they can’t afford to paint the place, so our insurance will be billed for an entire day, rather than half. day.

Currently waiting for my mother to be seen by an orthopedist. She was brought in by ambulance about 4pm yesterday. She has a broken knee, that much confirmed. They have not give her a meal since she’s been here, even though they say they have ordered it. Just experienced a very snippy nurse who said “you’re not the only one” when asked if she knew when the doctor might be here. Terrible. Very frustrated and disappointed. My children were all born here. My sister spent 2 weeks here after very bad car accident. Amazing how rotten this place is 20 years later. If not for her heart condition I would move her to another hospital. Last night she was not checked for 2 hours. Thankfully my sister and I were here to make sure she was ok. She is considered a trauma patient yet wasnt even checked on for 2 hours. Failed to mention she is 78 years old. Shame on this organization for not doing better for our community.

I was in a car accident and myself and my toddler daughter were brought by ambulance. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with taking care of my daughter while I had scans done. They spent time walking her around, giving her food and water and playing with her while I was unable to. Once I was reunited with her they would check in periodically to see how we both were doing. I was brought in and released within 4.5 hours and feel like everything was done perfectly both for myself and my daughter who had to have x-ray and ultrasound done. I know no one wants to go to the ER unless they absolutely have to, but if needed I would 100% come here again.

I definitely recommend finding a different ED in case of emergency. I was recently brought to OC Global ED after a brutal fall. In all of my many years, I have never experienced a traumatic accident and NOT been examined by an ED medical staff. Not only was an exam never performed, in which they might have discovered my 2 broken ribs, but I wasn’t even offered supplies to stem my bleeding face!! I literally had to wander around and ask for 4 x 4’s from staff sitting in a room!!! I had to ask for an ice bag, and then I had to show the nurse how to use it!!! I won’t even go into how the PA messed up my wound but I will suggest the Med Dir instruct the staff on how to use silver nitrate to cauterize mucous membranes. I am old and I’ve never left an ED AMA. I left OC Global AMA after being ignored for hours. In short - go somewhere else!!

Providing unending STARS! With praise, please see end of review. My Mom wasn't feeling well, and at midnight. Brought her into ER, only hoping for a basic "yes or no emergency or non-emergency" response. It was what appeared to be a busy active ER; however, they asked key smart & relevant questions. Within moments, the nurses promptly whisked my Mom, quickly stabilizing to ease discomfort. I was amazed at the efficiency and professionalism of the staff from the first security guard greeting to admission, diagnosing nurses, cascading there forward, and even discharge and post-follow up. Thank you, *** BRAVO ~ APPLAUSE ~ APPLAUSE ~ APPLAUSE *** 🫡

My wife visited the Emergency service of this hospital. She had just a sore throat. Doctor made two injections 1)antibiotic 2)pain relief and _NOTHING_ else. She didn't occupy any hospital rooms and spent about 40 minutes. We arrived in our own car. After about one month she got a bill for ~$4840(hospital bill) and after two months another bill for ~$800(doctor bill). 4839.78+803.00 = $5642.78 just for TWO simple shots which cost everywhere in any Urgent care about $120-400. They refused to provide itemized bills and don't want to provide any information on how these bills were calculated. Rejected all our requests. Didn't let us walk into the building to talk to them. The asked me to provide my tax-return! How does my tax-return relate to BILL for SERVICE? They said that we have to go to some website and make a request there. This website requires 1) social security 2) signature 3) pay $45 per request per request! They are obliged by the US laws to provide this information for FREE. Never pay non-itemized bills. And never pay to get itemized bills(summary) which must be provided for free. Be aware and stay away from this place. Don't visit their emergency and the hospital, unless you like to get phantom bills.

We got a phantom bill from this hospital for $5642.78 just for TWO injections (antibiotic + pain relief) after visiting Emergency and nothing else. We arrived in our own car and didn't occupy any hospital room and didn't stay overnight. They are refusing to provide an itemized(summary) bill. Stay away from this place unless you like to get phantom bills. DON'T pay for non-itemized bills. DON'T pay bills which have no detailed summary. Don't pay to get a summary bill! Always DEMANDING to provide you itemized bills for FREE. They can ask you to go to some website to make a request there. Don't do this! They are obliged by the law of the US to provide you an itemized bill for free by your first request right to your hands. Be aware and stay away!

This hospital is a nightmare. My uncle was admitted to the ICU. Nurses the entire time he was admitted were very rude, gave wrong updates and even when told what numbers to contact they were always calling the wrong number. Christine charge nurse said one thing one day and the next something totally different. Visitors be ready to one day walk in without proof is vaccination or ID only to show up the next and asked to do so because it’s hospital policy. The officers at the frond desk were very rude.

Hello everyone, I'm leaving this review to protect the public, not to simply point out the negatives of the incompetence of the hospital staff at Orange County Global Medical Center. I was involved in a car accident and was escorted via ambulance to this hospital. After they performed a chest X-ray, the nurses informed me that I would then be sent for a CT of my brain and neck. I declined the CT because I thought it was unnecessary to check my vasculature, and I specifically told the staff that I had prior disc herniation injuries. I requested an MRI, to which one of the nurses said, "MRIs have WAY (she made sure to emphasize the WAY by raising her voice) more radiation than X-Rays and CTs." I asked if that was true, and she responded by saying that she, an experienced and educated nurse, and the trauma doctor on staff were professionally trained for traumas and thus definitely possessed medical knowledge. I continued to decline the CT, and then asked if I could get an X-Ray of my left arm and my right thumb instead as I had trouble moving my limbs after the accident and wanted to check if they were broken. The nurses then said that they could not do that, and stated that I either have to do a neck and brain CT or I'll be given a discharge form to sign and the boot. So in essence, they wanted me to succumb to the hospital policy of whatever they felt like imaging, or I would get kicked out. Long story short, I told them I knew there was no radiation MRIs and proceeded to explain my reasons why, and afterwards, one of the nurses stopped talking and the other started stuttering to defend her point. When they asked what my background was, I shared that I used to be a medical student myself, and they proceeded to stop discussing about the matter. Anyways, I opted for the boot and discharged myself out because when I declined the CT, everyone left me alone in the imaging room shirtless and no one to assist me. Please don't choose this hospital. I noticed that before leaving the ER, there were other families who were so confused as to where there loved ones were, and the staff kept repeating the same information over and over again with no resolve.

I’ve had multiple less than stellar experiences at this ER. Most recently my son got glass in his eye, we took him in, the doctor spent literally less than 30 seconds looking inside his eye with the black light instrument. They sent us back out into the waiting room, said there was no glass in his eye and then we waited 2 hours for discharge paperwork. My son has been complaining of pain in the eye and now this morning (3 days later) a 1/8”x1/8” shard of glass worked it’s way out of his eye. He did have glass in there the entire time and they were too lazy to look around and find it. Formal complaint incoming, avoid this ER at all costs. Horrible rude staff, people don’t care about the patients. They will take their sweet time processing any paper work or drug orders, this is now the worst hospital I’ve ever been to and that’s saying a lot. Keep your loved ones away.

The medical system is broken. Not enough doctors in ER. You will be sitting in a chair for hours to be treated and then you will be released when they have time. Taken out side to a trailer to run a CT Scan. Although I appreciate the staff and Dr doing there best with what they have to work in. It is going to get worse. - Definitely not the same as previously years.

One of the best experiences we have had at a medical facility. Everyone we encountered were really nice and helpful (Leticia, Melissa, Bonnie, Martha and Dr. Lane). Dr. Lane made my daughter laugh through pain she was experiencing and she wants to return with him only. I would like to thank everyone who helped us today.

I had a surgery there and the nurses and staff were above and beyond kind and caring. Esp Kit in cardiology and Irene in outpatient They made my stay very comfortable and I feel like were beyond kind to me even though they say it’s their job. I did hear a lot of other staff dealing with some internal managing issues amongst themselves. I wished that the noise level of their conversations (especially negative) would be done in a more private area and it’s unsettling to hear as a patient that just got out of surgery and trying to rest. The hospital needs some upgrades as everything is pretty old. Overall good experience.

The most positive thing about this hospital was my labor and delivery nurse who was such an amazing part of my experience. Wouldn't have been able to do it without RN Morgan. Everyone else was subpar. Once I got to recovery floor the nurses were rude and with very little compassion. I had a nurse scold me that I was holding my newborn wrong when it was my very first time. So if you can, find another hospital. I'm even dealing issues now that I'm out of hospital with the birth certificate. The birth certificate clerk is so rude. She is non understanding that I am in recovery and with little to no child care and wants me to go back to the hospital to sign some papers that I should have signed when I was being discharged as soon as 3-4 days postpartum. Stay away if you can....

My grandmother has been admitted because we needed to find a hospital that deals with dementia. So far the staff has been amazing!!! My family and I can actually sleep at night knowing my grandmother is in good hands. Shout out to one of my grandmother's nurses(Russell) . Thank you for all the updates and just being on top it. We really appreciate everyone taking care of the 5th floor ❤️

Got taken here in an ambulance because I had thrown my back out was in extreme pain and could barely move. They wouldn't give me a bed and gave me a few ibuprofen. A year later I get a message that I'm in collections for 5000 dollars. They never tried to call or email me. Just sent me straight to collections for 5000 for 2 Ibuprofen. Absolute scumbags

Jan 2017 I was forgotten in hallway for 90 MINUTES during transfer from CAT scan to my room before we knew if I had any internal bleeding. Quite lucky for all of us there wasn't, but 90 minutes is a long time to cry out in pain hoping for someone to help you after a very bad car accident.

I had to take my brother here for chest pain. Wow, the experience couldn't have been any better. Staff was friendly, attentative, helpful and really seemed to care about not only the needs of my brother but also my concerns. We were in and out in less then three hours. It included blood work, x-ray, EKG and a chat with the doctor. They were very thorough.

If I could give zero stars I would! Checking in with the security was bad. They have no enthusiastic customer service to begin with while checking you in. Very eehhh! This was my first time at this hospital visiting a close friend of mine and when I asked to confirm what room she was in , he was like its on your band with an attitude. Again my first time at this hospital and he didn't write her floor or room number correctly on my band. The nurses who are assigned to my friend were very rude and do not care for the patient! she had called because she was worried about her tubes and they took 15 min to come in and check on her ! when she called they nurse over the monitor was like " I can't hear you! speak louder"! " what do you want"? ice chips !?? Speak up !! yelling at my friend. After that her nurse or whomever is assigned to came in and was not helpful! literally gave my friend an anxiety attack ! pressuring her to do a breathing treatment right the first time! my friend expressed that she felt bloated and the nurse continued to ignore what my friend was saying. She has gotten surgery on her stomach and forcing her to do this treatment right the first time. Her heart rate went up and spiked a fever over that ! Then a head nurse or doctor comes in and has the nerve to ask my friend if she has taken any drugs while being in care. They were just looking at her while she was having trouble breathing. The worst care anyone can ever get !

I am thankful for Dr. Rotter the surgeon for his knowledge in fixing my bf tibia the evening of his motorcycle accident. I also appreciate every nurse that seen him and administered his medication that indicated what they were giving him. Also I am so amazed how the food is, including the German chocolate cake that was shared with me.

My stay here was good. All the staff and nurses were very nice. Especially Faye, she was my favorite nurse here. She was very nice and gentle. And I think she went above and beyond. I'm going to miss her.

This hospital does not follow the ethical standards of care and the doctors do not care about patients. I have no idea how the nurses there ever passed the NCLEX. I requested an Ethics consult and no one knew what that was. Thank goodness there are choices in Orange County, but it is too bad this is the main CalOptima Hospital.

Thank you Roccel for all ur time and effort while I was there ! More nurses like you please 🙏 -Daisy .

My wife came here from Encompass Rehabilitation after having chest pain, and the whole staff was super friendly and very informative... The daytime nurse Tanya couldn't have been any nicer or better, and she explained more than she needed to, in great detail, ALL of my medical related questions!!! So far this hospital has been great!!! I was a little worried after reading some of the horrible reviews about this place, but in our situation it has been really good!!!

Don't get me wrong - the actual medical care I received was solid. This review is for the KPC group, which owns and operates many hospitals in the area, one of which is OC Global. I was administered to the ER after a trauma accident and was administered to the CCU for a couple additional nights. As mentioned, doctors were solid - seemed competent and took time to come by and explain everything. Most of the nurses were caring and great. The administration and business practice of KPC group, though, is down-right awful. They must have the worst administration practices in the region - I"m quite sure of it. The only thing they care about is sending bills, so they can collect on payment. They show no willingness to provide additional clarification or supporting documents. They don't answer their phones at all, do not return calls and create additional loops to jump through for simple things like itemized bills & records. It's clear that the only thing they care about is bottom-line profits. They show no regard for patient well-being or care about the post-release process. They are the epitome of what is wrong with the healthcare system in this country.

I was very pleased with my husband experience at the ER urgent care ( April 11,2023) where CHAD the nurse was in charge of my husband. He is a very friendly ,competent, knowledgeable and he acted fast. Chad made a big difference that day in the life of my husband and mine with his ability to bring understanding and peace in that confusing and challenging day. Chad have been answering to all the question that we had. It is so good to file that you are in good hands and you are treated with professionalism and care. A big Thank you to Chad and Amy M. Carney for theirs dedication .

This is my second time going to this hospital. I went in because I am pregnant I am 37 weeks and had fever on Tuesday morning I decided not to go to the doctor and go straight to the hospital . The first time I came was to have my first kid I had no trouble ! this time around I decided to get their names because my sister had bad experience last year with her labor and delivery . The nurse in the ER who helped me get seen her name was Brandie M she was helpful and was doing her job correctly I had no problem in the Er room my only problem was when they checked me first to see if I was sick which was a nurse or doctor who was there at the ER he never told me I had a fever until they took me up stairs to labor and delivery then they told me I was right I had fever at 102 ! I forgot their names because I was really sick but that www my only problem down at the ER it did take a while but it’s always better to be patient and not rush them . once I was up stairs it was a different story I got helped right away by a very nice nurse that I wish I get again if I go back her name was Michelle A she was so funny/ nice / helpful/ patient/ understanding and was always checking up on me on time she would help me with everything I needed I never got to see her again before I left to tell her how happy I am she helped me but I got sent home yesterday afternoon ! At labor and delivery I had no problem all nurses were helpful and patient and understanding but if I could pick one to be the nurse I only get it would be Michelle A ! The other nurses who helped me the second nurse I had trouble remembering her name but she was so helpful third nurse was Rocio I did not get her last name but she was helpful last nurse I got I never got her name but she was helpful like I said I had no problem with going to labor and delivery floor they were all helpful and ready to do their work ! Had to write this and write my experience because of my sister who had a bad experience last year I do not know if I will give the hospital another chance but so far I think I will so far my two visits have been good !

I called having contractions because I’m 32 weeks pregnant and wanted to speak and get answers from someone. Which this was going to be my birthplace hospital. I got transferred 5 times before I finally got someone I explained my contractions and I was answered by a rude nurse “well if your 32 weeks and ur contracting then that means u need to come” and before I could ask my other questions she hung up on me . No way am I having my baby here !! Based on the negative reviews this place has I wanted to give it a try but no way 👎

My baby was born here. All the staff were nice to us and also very helpful. I made few calls to ask some questions about documents after we were back home and most people on the phone were patient and forward my calls to the right department.
