***PRO-TIP BEFORE READING MY REVIEW***: Don't bother paying $30/a night for parking. There's FREE parking past the apartments, next to the elementary school. About a 10 minute walk, but do note the street sweeping days and times! The front desk staff will discourage you from looking for free parking and tell you that cars get towed, but my car and other cars were perfectly fine. You're welcome!! This hotel honestly should have never transitioned to the Marriott brand. They took out a deposit of $119 out of my credit card that was on file on my app. Deposits are supposed to be taken out IF it's a prepaid reservation, in which my reservation was NOT a prepaid one. The card that's swiped during check in is the card that is supposed to have ALL charges on. I found it really interesting that a Titanium Elite member would have a deposit taken out prior to checking-in. I've been traveling w/ Marriott for the past 2.5 years and I have never encountered a security deposit being taken out for a NON-PREPAID RESERVATION. They are absolutely hopeless in reversing this issue that they created. The older guy who works at night kindly gave me a 4pm checkout and clearly said that he set up my keys to a 4pm checkout. Nope, they didn't work past 12pm and I had to go back down to get them re-keyed and their front desk staff looked like the halloween skeleton decor in the back... lifeless and uninterested. On an important note, the hotel shut down the hot water which was no big deal for me BUT after they turned the hot water back on, there was BLACK RESIDUE coming out of the shower and got all over my skin. Terrible addition to the Marriott brand.

I don’t like giving one star. Let me first say that the people and service are amazing. They are so great. It’s a nice hotel and there are so many things that make it great. There is one HUGE problem though. The beds and pillows are TERRIBLE. We are talking motel 6 quality. We got hardly any sleep, and that really hurt our trip. I spend all this money and I hardly got any sleep. That shouldn’t be.

I loved everything about this hotel. From being greeted as soon as we walked in and the bell hop helping us with our luggage, to the pool to the rooms. Everything was awesome. The only thing we had an issue with was the restroom door being hard to close but other then that everything was perfect. Our room was cleaned daily. No issues at all. We are currently staying at a Disneyland resort and I can say I wish I was back at the Viv. The viv had more Disney details. Felt more like a Disneyland hotel. Can't wait to come back.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience during my stay at Viv Hotel in Anaheim. As a Gold Elite member, I must say that this hotel truly went above and beyond to make my visit unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the benefits of my Gold Elite status were evident. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the smooth check-in process, even though I arrived earlier than expected. The early check-in option was incredibly convenient and allowed me to start enjoying my vacation right away. One of the standout perks was the late check-out privilege. I didn't have to worry about rushing in the morning to pack up and leave, as I was given extra time to relax and savor my last moments at this beautiful hotel. It made the entire departure experience stress-free and enjoyable. The room upgrade I received was nothing short of amazing. I was given a spacious and luxurious room that exceeded my expectations. The upgrade made my stay even more comfortable, and I truly appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into this gesture. My kids loved the bunk beds!! But beyond the perks, what truly made this hotel exceptional was its staff and service. The employees at Viv Hotel were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any request I had. From the front desk to the housekeeping and the restaurant staff, everyone made me feel like a valued guest. The attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction were evident in every aspect of my stay. The hotel's commitment to providing top-notch service truly set it apart from other places I've stayed before. Overall, my stay at Viv Hotel was simply outstanding. The excellent staff and service were the cherry on top of a truly memorable experience. I can't wait to return to Viv Hotel for my next visit to Anaheim. Highly recommended! The Fireworks was also an Added Bonus!! Being able to view them from the roof top was a nice way to end the evening,

Ashley had top notch customer service while checking in. She really helped us understand how to work the transit system to Disneyland and was kind/professional. The rooms are very nicely decorated, and beds are fairly comfortable. The pool and hot tub is nice. The adult pool looks incredible though we haven’t had the chance to enjoy it. The service, has not been great. Every day we run out of coffee, cups, and water. And every day, we ask for coffee, cups, and water. Our bathroom has been broken for 5 days now. We ask it be fixed with a service today and came back to 4 packets of coffee and some towels thrown in the counter. We would still probably stay here again. There are a lot of missed opportunities to make the is a 5 star like originally hoped. There is a washer & dryer ($4 plus soap). And there are no bathroom fans.

The hotel overall is quite nice. It has a youthful and fun vibe, the rooms and hotel itself were very clean, and the bus to Disneyland came right to the front area of the hotel. Where it loses a star is that the woman who checked us in made no mention of how the elevators only work with your key card (a feature we'd never experienced) and neglected to even tell us what floor our room was on or write it down for us, apparently we were just supposed to know. Once in our room we were very happy with everything until my husband took a shower and we found the shower leaked a great deal of water. There was no fixing the issue as it was a design flaw, so we just put a towel against it. Otherwise, our stay was very pleasant.

Rooms were clean and decent but they definitely want to make money any way they can. $35/day for parking which adds up. Breakfast is another added cost. On top of the already pricey hotel, they really wanna get money from you any way they can squeeze it. They added an occupancy tax at the end. Not even sure what that is or why it was charged after the fact since we put the exact amount of people in the app while booking the hotel. The front end seemed kinda clueless when my husband asked questions. They should also probably add non slip mats in the bath tubs. It was the most slippery tub I've ever experienced. I thought my toddler was dramatic when she was slip and sliding and banging herself up when she stood up but when I took a shower I almost slipped any time I moved my feet. Overall decent hotel, just a lot of weird added expenses that add up after you get there. $70 for 2 day parking for a hotel you pay for. Seems a bit crazy.

The hotel has a very good location, we went to Disney and there wasn’t any availability closer to the park and this one we thought it was great location, it looks new. BUT we could say it’s clean except for the fact that the room smelled like humidity you can’t open a window so there’s no way to get rid of the smell. The bed sheets also smelled like humidity also, it smells like mold and I’m they forgot the sheets in the washer for hours and then remembered but they were already dry so just popped them in the bed, too sad. The pillows were HORRBLE as far as I know Marriott has a code for bedding and pillows etc. well maybe they don’t follow this they were flat, and only had like 1 pillow per person (when normally you have 2 at every hotel). And then there was the loudest weirdest noise on Sunday morning, they said that they were working on the bathroom upstairs but came on… on a Sunday morning?, that is not the way I wanted to wake up. Because of all of this I don’t think I would stay here again.

I loved this hotel, it was so clean and just nice. Amazing view on the 12th floor & the restaurant, great way to spend a night watching the Disney fireworks. The only down fall is parking for the hotel, hotel parking should be included in the stay and not having a $35 fee for each day. The rooms decorations were so cute and loved. The food/breakfast were amazing and tasty. The staff were great, respectful and friendly. Overall such a great hotel and the vibe very luxurious.

I wanted to love this hotel but the mattress sucks. All 4 of us slept miserably. It was so clean. The rooms were so nice. The staff were great. The restaurant and cafe we're amazing. The pools were beautiful. Parking was easy. Perfect location.

The hotel itself is fine and the room nicely appointed, but beware of the $25 a day “destination fee” that forces you to spend money at either the hotel’s restaurant or its sundries shop. If you happen to arrive too late to make use of the credit, it’s $25 taken out of your pocket for nothing. Fear not though, for they will open the sundries shop for you to get snacks and drinks after hours, then bill you for the pleasure, despite having already taken $25 from you for the day. If I could cancel the rest of my stay and find other accommodation, I would certainly do it.

Stayed 01/13-01/15 We were super excited to stay at this hotel but the first phone call I made to them - gave me a bitter taste in my mouth. I called to ask if I'm able to check in early, if not it was totally fine since we were already at Disneyland - front desk spoke to me in the most demeaning tone and was just very short/rude. So then I was if we were able to upgrade our room to get Theme Park View - again, response was short and rude. I honestly wanted to cancel my reservation after but it is what it is, I didn't want to have to find a last minute hotel. Around 4PM, we finally left Disney to come check in. Parking was super easy, lobby was super nice and clean. Front desk was super nice. The room was super nice until my husband walked into the bathroom and found pubic hairs on the toilet. I usually never like to complain so we just went ahead and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Other than that, we really did enjoy our stay except for the two incidents that happened. Would I stay here again? I honestly would look at a different hotel if we were to come back to the Anaheim area. 😅

If you’re looking for a hotel near Disneyland, if this is the one to book! You could walk to Disneyland, but a ride takes 5 minutes. The entire staff has been very friendly, the facilities are all very nice, and the restaurant downstairs is delicious! The adult-only rooftop pool and hot tub were really nice and the downstairs pool area was clean, large, and had plenty of seating areas plus cornhole and a ping pong table. Almost everything about the hotel has exceeded my expectations. I think the only improvements that could be made would be having a bathroom fan in the room, availability of personal items like razors, and laundry detergent in the laundry room (the washers are dryers were very cheap, huge plus!) Overall this is a great hotel and one I would gladly stay at again and recommend to others.

Great hotel if you have kids. They have complimentary bellhop. You can choose to self-park or valet your car. We self-parked. They have the Valencia restaurant on the first floor that has Mexican influenced dishes and cocktails. They also have a fancier restaurant at the “Top of the V.” Kids are allowed in both restaurants. We had the Park View suite. Very spacious for our family. Since we have a kid, we only enjoyed the pool downstairs. There is an adult pool upstairs. I couldn’t give this space five stars for location because of the freeway noise. It's quieter than the Marriott hotel about 10 minutes away. We'll be back.

I do not recommend staying here especially with kids. We were not aware of a “destination fee” and it was not made known to us at booking or through any emails previous to our stay. $25/day was charged to my account but the prices are so high on everything that it doesn’t get you much. The only way to watch kids shows is to pay or cast from your phone. That was a bummer. The live TV doesn’t have any kids channels There are a lot of drawers and hanging space. Bathroom is nice with double sinks. Beds are firm but I like that.

Overall, I think it’s a great hotel for a family. The good… Clean, modern and cool things to look at inside. The staff was really nice. The rooms were quiet and large which I was surprised. The bad… The bed’s not too comfortable and the pillows are laughable. I stayed for 3 days on a business trip and everything was great except for the sleep comfort and the fact they don’t take the Discover card. The cafe Turkey sandwich was absolutely disgusting (brown lettuce and very slimy deli meat) some people may exaggerate a bit by saying they wouldn’t feed it to their dog but in this case it’s true, my dog does eat better food than that by far. Ew! Would I stay again?… Maybe, the rooftop is great, the staff is great, the food in the main restaurants are really good (stay away from the food at the cafe), it’s clean. The only thing I would do is bring my own pillow and blanket and I’m not sure I would want to travel with that.

The most amazing staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at. From the 'Welcome to the Viv' at the front door, to the amazing attention to details from the housekeepers, to the restaurant manager at the restaurant....all amazing and welcoming. The hotel is fairly new and very comfortable. The hotel is neither over-done or underwhelming. Just right. (I know some folks don't like the bare floors, but I actually appreciate them. I have extremely sensitivity to chemicals used to clean carpets) The only negative I have....the pillows need to be upgraded.

New Hotel so the elevators work, the furniture is new etc. No parking fee and <$200 corporate travel maximum is why I booked. Staff is super nice. Rooms are okay. There was a towel left over from the previous guest and the iron was damaged/stuck on steam mode but that's okay. The hotel would be 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for the coffee shop and sundry items. Coffee is expensive at $5.45 with tip and they are sssslllloooowwww. Went down there twice and both times guests were frustrated. One threw their entire order in the trash on the way out. LOL.

My family and I have stayed multiple times at this location and it’s amazing! At check in the staff is friendly and professional! The rooms are huge with bunk beds for the kids. The cleaning staff keeps everything so tidy and beautiful! The restaurant is delicious with great customer service and the pool area is very spacious and clean! A great hotel with families oh and let me tell you their coffee and pastries are the best! Will recommend to family and friends!

We had a lovely stay here while going to Disneyland. There's a great pool area with splash zone and large hot tub. Also an adults only rooftop pool!!! One side of the hotel can see Disneyland and the fireworks, the other side cannot. Service was quite good. The maids only do a brief room clean each day, not as thorough as other hotels. Always an adventure to see if we got tea or coffee or both... We'd definitely stay here again.

Ok. First of all, I was there for work, not Disneyland. So these are just my honest opinions for a non-Disney stay: The lobby is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms though. I really hate saying this, but I got very strong European budget hotel vibes from the room with two queens and a bunk bed. Did not expect a bunk bed. The bathroom was fine, but felt like I was 18 again trying to save money on a trip in Europe. I understand that a majority of the clientele here is going to Disneyland. Families etc, so for those people I bet it’s great. I just wasn’t feeling the vibe. Once again, I was there for work. The staff is great, it is clean, the bar is great. The rooms were just off putting to me. Just colors and interior design.

Family friendly, clean, awesome. We have 5 kids (9 mos, 2, 5, 10, 15) and if you look at the hotel online it didn’t scream kid friendly. However, it really is - From the family pool(Heated - a good temp too) whirlpool and splash pad on the ground level, yard games (connect 4, ping pong, and bags), and the kid friendly rooms. The hotel is very clean and updated. 0 issues with check in and like the self park option. The hotel never felt crowded or overbearing. We will stay here when we come back to Anaheim.

Loved how close it is to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. It is literally 8 from the parks! It makes a huge difference when you can easily go to the parks at rope drop, go back to your hotel in the afternoon for lunch and rest, and then return to the parks in the evening for more rides and the night show! Also, the rooms and even hallways have the Disney theme, which was adorable. Definitely recommend!

No idea why anyone would rate this hotel less than 5 stars. I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews, but this is the booking Hotwire gave me so I didn’t have much choice in changing my reservation. And I’m glad I didn’t! The place felt luxurious and the staff was friendly/helpful. Comfortable bed too. I’ll definitely try and stay here again.

Other than the restaurants, the hotel is like a Hampton Inn. The rooms are unimpressive. Room service forgot coffee and water two nights out of four. The roof top restaurant/bar is a cool setting but the food menu is almost excusively latin. This hotel is across the interstate from Disneyland and well out of walking distance to all of the restaurants near the park. The parking garage is $30/ night and cumbersome to navigate. There are numerous hotels closer to the resort that are better choices.

Modern hotel with unique room configurations (two queens plus two bunk beds) well suited for family vacations. Convenient location next to highway 5 and close to Disneyland (shuttle available at $6/day/person). Thank you Veronica (Valencia restaurant): you really made my (Thanksgiving) day this morning. Nice facilities (pools, fitness room). Inconsistent service: even with a five night stay we couldn’t figure out why room amenities weren’t being replenished (we asked extra at the front desk), why the bunk bed was t being made up (called to have it done) and why the $6 cappuccino isn’t part of the elite breakfast (some days it is, some days it isn’t - likely just dependent on the server but formally it is not included). Note that the Elite breakfast is a limited selection from the (nice) breakfast menu.

Pulled up to the hotel and no vallet or bell service. Hotel staff was not welcoming, zero acknowledgement at check in. Check out was even worse my phone was not working in my hotel room, or at least that’s what they said after I was left on hold for ten minutes . After being on hold for ten minutes , I called from my cell phone and they said they could only extend by an hour ( noon). The hotel was a ghost town!!! Staff was not helpful at all. I ended up doing two next nights at the Hilton and service was outstanding. The rooms are nice and updated but service is subpar.

Beautiful hotel, our room was gorgeous had a wonderful time at the swimming pool. Our family really enjoyed our short staying. We highly recommended for families to have a good time.

Fantastic stay! We stayed in one of the bunk rooms and with 4 adults and 2 older kids, it was a lot more room than we expected. The main floor restaurant breakfast was elegant and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our boys favorite thing is the pool, they wanted to leave the parks early to go back before it closed! The rooftop pool was a nice respite from the craziness that Anaheim can be. We are booked to come back later this year and are already looking forward to it.

This property became a Marriott in August. It used to be a Raddison property. I’m a comfort seeker. The small luxuries are gone. 1) TP is super thin and budget. 2) Pillowcase are 100% polyester so this heats up your face and head and they feel silky and cheap. 3) The lovely smelling soaps were installed in the shower using a pump system. This was friendlier to the environment, They’ve been replaced with individual small bottles of cheap smelling liquid. It’s the small things. I won’t be back, they won’t notice. It went from a nice place to stay to a basic hotel stay.

This hotel was perfection. My kids loved it! I literally can’t think of one bad thing. I’d definitely stay here again. Anthony (bellhop) was amazing and very helpful. It was my son’s birthday and staff surprised him by bringing a Mickey Mouse balloon to our room.
