Nice lake, you get boat ride for Rs 100 per head. Small kids are free, it lasts for 30 mins approx with manual rowing. The best time to visit here is during the lotus blossom season which is during summer and monsoon as the lake is filled with lotus plants.nothing else apart from the lake

One of the best places to visit for an early morning sunrise for visitors of Vizag and Anakapalle town. Boat ride is around 300 for single person. Best time to visit- during winters. Best spot for photo shoots. Recently a video of the boat rider directing how to pose for photo shoot has been from this place😄 Take your own food items if at all you have to visit as the options are very poor. Travel through own vehicle is good. With this you can visit nearby beach also after this place. Trekking in the beach hill is fun. Roads are narrow and busy.

If you want to spend some pleasant and calm time then this is the place …. They localities offer a nice 20 to 30min boat ride at a decent price … visit early in the mrng or in the evenings for a better view … mornings are best if you want to see the flowers in a good shape … please try and not pluck the lotus … they are the beauty here but lot of people keep plucking them for no reason

Awesome place to enjoy nearby ukkunagaram. Boat ride will be 100 per person on sharing. Private boat is for 800 per boat. Sunset and sunrise are ideal to watch. It's a breath taking. We have visit at around 2.p.m. but it is very cool breeze is coming from river. Lotus will be available in the morning. Many tourists will harvest them. Boat ride will be around 25 min. Overall worth every penny.

It's a beautiful spot for a close look at nature. Just be prepared for fewer bird sightings as their numbers are declining. If you're here for the birds, go early in the morning or evening. Despite the name, don't expect a full-fledged bird sanctuary. And please, keep the place clean – no littering!

Perfect place with Nature's beauty to enjoy. We visited on a foggy morning to enjoy the morning dawn on a manual rowed boat mid of the fresh water lotus lake with a friendly fisherman helping us. Even tried the fish from the tank really tasty. Kid enjoyed in small play area adjacent to the tank.

Nice place. Best time to visit during September (Vinayaka chavithi) time as we can see a lot of Lotus flowers. We went there during January (Pongal) time. So we didn't find any lotus flowers. Other people found a few it seems. We can see some variety flowers as attached in the picture. Don't know the name. 2 boats are attached as a single and 5 people (adults) can fit in it apart from the rower. Ticket cost varies from 50 to 250 depending on the rush and bargain. We got it for 120-150/-. There are 2 types of rides. 30 min and 1 hour. We went for a 30 min ride. It's a bird sanctuary, so the nice time to visit is in the evening as we can see a lot of birds (locals said it.. we went during morning time around 11. So all I've seen is a duck 🥲) There is a little park nearby for kids to play. Parking space is good too. There is a resort too in the next street. Totally the visit to kondakarla ava is worth it and I will visit again during the September month hopefully to see a lot of Lotus flowers. 😀

A beautiful serene lake in a beautiful and more rural side of Vizag, the sunsets are a bliss. The floating leaves almost glimpses of Kashmir in it.

An escape from the usual commotion of the city..just sit in the boat and lose yourself to a floral kaleidoscope..you'll find lily pads all along the fresh water lake...blooming lotuses and birds flying with careless freedom.. You will lose track of time while admiring the beauty and serenity of the place. Charges for the boat could be a hassle, so it's preferable to have a local language speaking person with you to haggle with the boat guys. Best enjoyed with friends and family, singing music and if you are good to your ferry man, he'll take you to good places where you'll see the perfect reflection of the sky in the water and lotuses to keep as souvenir.

Went there for a pre-wedding shoot in January 2024 The place was clean and the boatmen have a society... They operate in a very friendly and patient manner. Had a very nice experience with the boatman and the place was very beautiful. They don't have motor boats here to prevent cutting the water plants/leafs ( loved this fact ) They all try really well to preserve the ecosystem there. If you visit this place please don't throw plastic in the lake and keep it clean...

Except place for small visit with family Boat cost around 500 if you book only for you. They will take you to see the some part of Lake, for half an hour. You can bargain. Upto 400 rupees some time. If you go by sharing.boat, for single they charge 100 rupees. No rest rooms available. Make your own food arrangements.

There's nothing much to it apart from boating. There's no proper sitting area if you want to have a picnic over there and no restrooms as well. But the view and the boating experience are totally worth it. They charge around Rs. 100/- per person for 30 min of ride. Also, there's a playground for children where they can play, run and can have fun.

It's a good picnic spot for children . Visit here to experience a seamless boat shikar of almost 30-45mins. One may get time to spend more with their family and friends . Children will love the boat ride . Happy to visit.

It doesn’t actually have any birds. Season could be the issue. Only beauty is the pond and the leaves and flowers inside. Boating option is available but the best time to use the service is early morning or after 4:00 pm

A shallow lake with lots of wild water plants growing inside . Birds visit this place seasonally and during sunrise sunset times. Rest of the time birds can be seen occasionally or in small numbers . Boat ride is a must .Human involvement is allowed only upto certain extent to maintain the natural habitat (great thing that they maintain it .Bravo👏!!!)

The location is quite good .. One of the best location for pre-wedding photography and also one of the best 30min boating journey for couples as it's a lake with lots and lots of Lotus flowers

This is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The place is easy to visit the roads are good. Timing The perfect timing to visit this place is Morning 5-7 am or evening 4-5 pm. The local union will offer boat rides. Range btw Rs150-100 per person, depending on no. of ppl you go as a grp. Max 20 members can go at a time in a single boat. Best place for wedding photoshoots also. Just follow Google maps making a ride with (a car an option for good directions) When you reach the place.

We need a vehicle to reach there and it's mentioned bird sanctuary but I haven't seen any different birds. I went at 4pm weather was OK and they charged 100 per person for boat ride for 30 min For people who never been on boat it's a nice experience

Excellent view. Especially if u go for shoots then u need to book full boat costs500/- if u just want to c then u can go by pooling . Which reduces the cost. But verg nice location. U can find small fishes while walking on the side riles

Synonym of Peace !! Must visit place when u want to feel the nature close to you !! The bird sounds and Water splashes still go in my ear even aftr a week since I visited . The boat ride seems to be little expensive but bargain works ! Best time to visit is either for sunrise or sunset . NOTE: The depth of the water is somewhere between 6-8ft so it's completely safe ! 👍

Best place to take a boat ride in vizag, mornings are the best because we can see the sunrise and get some Lotus for ourselves 😍. This is the place only for boat riding but not a picnic spot to stay for a while.

It’s a nice place to visit as a tourist and as a bird watching enthusiast. But the place lacks basic facilities like a proper toilet or shelter for tourists visiting from far off or nearby places. The boatmen claim that there are several migratory birds, but I could hardly see more than couple of dozens of birds. There’s no display of any kind of information from AP tourism , which is a shame as visitors need to depend on Google for information.
