Hands down, the best theatre school in the country today from where many stalwarts have passed out and are big names today in the commercial realm of Hindi cinema. I visited NSD for the first time today & was blown away by the wonderful infrastructure and the beautiful premises. No wonder then, that this is the best drama school in the country today. Enjoyed just being there for the Theatre Olympics event and couldn't help but wonderful how lucky the students must be. A great experience indeed.

National School of Drama (NSD) is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975. In 2005, it was granted deemed university status, but in 2011 it was revoked. Great institute, Great Infrastructure,Must Visit. I am from Karnataka.First time I visited in 2017.It was a great experience.I had great memories there. We participated in "Bal Sangam" event to represent Karnataka's Folk dance" Dollu Kunita" on Nov,2017. It was a great movement which created lots of memories during JNV school days. Great institute to learn dramatic skills and music. It produced great personalities like Ashish Vidyarthi,Irfan khan and many more. You must visit during "Bal sangam" event which may be held every year on November. It's encouraging cultural skills in youths.It teaches acting skills. It has great faculties. "Jnana Peet " awardee "Girish Karnad " served as a Principal in this Institute.Who wants to learn acting must join this school.

Such an amazing place. I came here to watch the famous Natya 'Andha Yug' written by Dharmveer Bharati ji. I was out of words after witnessing the performance. It was so mesmerizing as if the actors made it look real. I was feeling blessed to be in a place which has been almamater of professionals like Om Puri, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, etc.

Everyone knows this is a good institute.But I believe that if these people also tell the students what marks they have been given in each subject, then it will be easier for the children for the next time.
