This is just an update to an old review. Lovely place for delicious cheesy melting pizza and tasty beverages. Carnivore pizza with my Arctic Apple Ale and Cream Soda was divine to exaggerate. A lot of tourists and locals gather together, so finding a seat and service can be quite slow at times. I went alone recently, so I hit the bar counter, and it was quick at the snap of the finger. Drinks came off the bat, but food took time to come as expected. Yes, I did eat the whole pizza. Overall, I would recommend the bar counter experience over the table seating if it's just 3 people, couples, or solo.

Came here as my first dinner around 5p while visiting Anchorage. It was crowded with people waiting outside, but there was a nice outdoor sitting area and a walk-up bar to pass the time. Luckily, table was ready within 15 minutes. Waiter immediately came over to take the drink orders, explain the menu options, and make some recommendations. Started off with a few local beers and the Smoked Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Spread. Both came out within 5 minutes. The Salmon Spread had a nice consistency and went well with the onions, lemon, and the baguettes. For the pizza, ordered the large Call of the Wild and medium Jake's Mistake. Pizzas came out within 15 minutes which was perfect time to finish the appetizer. Pizza was cooked perfectly with a crispy crust and generous amount of toppings. Both pizzas were great and my favorite part was the crust. All the ingredients were fresh and went well together. One was chicken based while the other was a supreme style, so got to taste two different styles. I wanted to try some of their desserts, but the pizzas were so filling. Overall, good food and service. I would definitely come back to try more pizzas, beers, and desserts.

Delicious pizza! We visited mid-week late afternoon and were seated right away. The atmosphere was energized and fun. We ordered a medium pepperoni with half mushrooms. The pizza arrived timely and looked great. The flavor was excellent, the crust was unique crunchy at the edges and chewy towards the interior. Service was great, pleasant and efficient.

There has been TONS of hype behind this classic pizza staple in Anchorage and during my vacation to Alaska in June 2022, we made a stop here. Arriving on June 18 at around 1 PM they were packed, but the wait surprisingly was not that long. First impressions of the menu, it’s HUGE! Tons of kinds of pizza to choose from in terms of toppings and other stuff. Our waitress was very friendly and gave lots of great suggestions. As an appetizer, I got the cheesy breadsticks. They overall were decent. In terms of pizza, I got one of the meat lovers pizzas (I forgot the actual name of it). And you’re probably anxious to know, what are my true thoughts? Honestly, it was just okay. A few parts of The crust were definitely a little undercooked as seen in my photos below. But the overall taste was pretty good! The sauce was tasty and the toppings were seasoned really well! But again, the crust was not that crispy which was a bit of a letdown. So overall, my visit to Moose’s Tooth was alright. I’ll probably still come back the next time I’m in Anchorage. Still a good experience overall!

So I been hearing about this pizza that's outta this world. And I must say they didn't disappoint. The crust is flaky and crunchy at the same time. With a touch of sweetness. There is no skimping of the meat either. I had the Santa's little helper. With nice moose plates. They say a 2 hour wait if you catch it right before dinner so we went around lunch time. We only had to wait 45 min. If you don't mind the wait camp out and get some drinks.

First bite in Alaska and it read a great way to start the trip! Been hearing about this place for 8 years. Finally got here. It was so good. Great service. Awesome team. Fun place for family and friends. Love the beer. Pizza is so good!

We finally made it to Anchorage and our friends kept talking about this place. Well, it was absolutely amazing. We are pizza snobs and all of the options just knocked out socks off. I’d actually go back to Alaska just to eat here … it’s that good. We tried three kinds of pies and each was delicious. I’m just overwhelmed by the cool varieties of pizza. Fast service and cool decor. I can see why this place is at the top of the reviews! Don’t wait … just go!!

I was ready to give this place five stars but was sorely disappointed with the service. If I could have rated this place from when I sat down at my table 45 minutes in, it would have been five stars. From 46 minutes on, the stars started to dissolve. I have been a devoted patron since the early days of Moose’s Tooth and always have been a vocal contributor to getting prospective visitors and tourists to Alaska to eat here. It’s depressing that this single visit has devastated a nearly two-decades-long affair with this restaurant. I can count about 40 unique visits made to dine here with no issues. Our service was slow and seemingly intentional as the tables around us, who were seated long after our own, was served, finished eating, and paid their bills by the time we got our pizzas. I usually give the benefit of the doubt that external factors exist beyond the control of the servers, but our server, Alexis W., had left us to our own devices for nearly an hour at one point. She was nonexistent and under-communicated throughout. Alexis didn't seem apologetic for realizing she had not put our pizza order into the kitchen. She said the pizzas would all be heavily discounted due to the inconvenience (after waiting for the pizzas for around an hour and a half); this was a lie. We waited an extra 30 minutes for the order to come to the table after the identified mishap. Two pizzas were discounted by 50%, and two were kept at the total price. All arrived simultaneously, and by the time they came to the table, the positive outlook and tolerance had deteriorated significantly. Our appetite was soured beyond repair. One word: Disappointed.

This is a very popular pizzeria in midtown Anchorage. We went on a Saturday in August for dinner and waited about one hour before being seated. The staff was friendly and attentive to our table, checking in regularly and helped make recommendations. The food was good and we ordered a bunch - salad, mozzarella bread sticks, root beer, and pizzas. Even with a long wait, it was a good environment and positive experience.

Food and service both are amazing. Smoked Salmon spread is really good. We ordered chicken Parmesan pizza, veg pizza with spinach, Melt away brownie and Moose pie. Loved the sampler beer. You can choose 4 sampler beer among lots of options and it’s cheap. For me Marzen (It was in special menu) is the best whatever beer we have ordered.

This restaurant is an absolute must if you’re visiting Anchorage! The pizza and beer are phenomenal, I personally recommend the “sweet heat” beer, the “Mac n cheese” and “Chicken Rockefeller” pizzas. The “Diablo sticks” were awesome too. Super nice staff, great food and drinks, would totally recommend!

While I did not try the pizza the wings were some of the best I've had. I ordered them Korean style. Perfectly cooked and great flavor. The raspberry wheat beer was also a hit. Also, it was a busy night but we were seated fairly quickly and had great service.

Amazing pizza! The gluten free crust is the best I have ever had. The Call If The Wild pizza is amazing and the waitress was super cute and helpful. You can't go wrong at this place except the wait can be as long as 2 hours. It was only 30 minutes for us, and it was worth it!

We love Moose’s Tooth and come here every time we are in Anchorage. Great pizza 🍕 great beer 🍺 and cool atmosphere. Outside seating by fire pit and lots of indoor and tent seating. We highly recommend the Moose’s Tooth! Family friendly and lots of bar seating too. They get super busy and you can’t call ahead which is a bummer but we love this place. You can also order pizza in sections like 1/2 of this pizza and the other 1/2 that pizza. Thin crust is amazing. Wheat crust available and GF options too. 🍻 try the wonderful desserts too.

A friend who owns my favorite pizza place in High Springs FL recommended I check out Mooses Tooth (I'm guessing to test the competition). We were NOT disappointed! They have a decent beer menu to choose one of their home brewed beers- both the Porter and the Stout are recommended. As for the pizza, well...there's something you shouldn't miss out on! Even after filling up on the cheesy bread sticks we still were able to gorge on a Garlic Lover and a Wild Mushroom....I'm soo glad we have leftovers! Thank you Hayley for great service - we will be back again!!!

Amazing pizza! We absolutely loved the foragers pizza and root beer. The pizzas are massive and well worth the price! We had leftovers for days. Even though it was busy we only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. Great place to bring the family!

Enjoyed our first meal in Alaska at this pizzeria. Good beers as well. We ordered 5 small pizzas for our family of 6 to each be able to try something different. This plus the nachos appetizer was enough food to have almost 2 full pizzas for leftovers to take home.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The pizza was super delicious 😋 We got the Brewery Favorite and the Margherita one. My husband enjoyed the local beer 🍺 For desert, we got the Moose pie, which is more than enough for 2 people. Would love to go back to this place when we'll have the chance.

Wonderful pizza! They have lots of interesting pizza toppings and the flavors are delicious. The mozzarella breadsticks are amazing and cheesy. Great service and clean restaurant as well. If you’re looking for a good pizza place in the area, look no further!

Went to the Moose Tooth for some pizza at 3:00PM on a Monday afternoon, still had to wait close to 45 minutes for a table. Seems like there's just always people here! I had heard good things about the pizza prior to coming and the food loved up to its reputation. I ordered the "Call of the Wild" pizza (pictured) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also tried a couple of the Broken Tooth brews and found them to be very enjoyable as well. There are very many pizza and beer options to choose from. I would very highly recommend the Moose's Tooth!

We arrived at 930 pm on a Monday night in the summer. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the Korean Spicy wings, a medium Santa’s Little Helper pizza, and a slice of Snickerdoodle cheese cake. The wings came quick, and were very good. Not spicy. The pizza was good. We liked the sauce a lot. The cheesecake was decently tasty. To drink we had the Arctic Apple ale, and the Raspberry Wheat beer. Both were fantastic! Over all it took 90 minutes from walking in the door, to walking out. While the pizza was good, it was far from the best I’ve ever had. Not even in my personal top 10. Our bill at the end was about $72, which I think was a bit much. Overall I think this place it good, but overrated and overpriced. Eat here if you have the chance, but don’t go out of your way to do so.

The food was absolutely amazing! I came here purely from recommendation. I found and heard about this place from word of mouth so I had to come try it out when I knew I was traveling to Anchorage. The servers and just the staff in general was really kind and willing to help whenever they can. The reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because the wait that we had to do because of the place popularity. When we first arrived it took them about 45 minutes to get us seated. They got our order fairly quick but still took at the least 30 minutes to get the food. So we spent over an hour and 15 minutes just waiting to eat. I can understand that they are a busy and popular, but it was a lot of waiting.

Yum, had a ten minutes wait to get in but worth the wait at 10pm. We had the draft root beer pitcher, buttermilk salad, and bull moose pizza. Careful for the jalapenos if you aren't a fan of heat, I loved it. Fast, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. We didn't have any but sounds like the make their own beer.

This place seems to always be packed. We ended up waiting 40 minutes, which seems to be quicker than most times. The server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu and tap list. We ended up getting four large pizzas for a group of 12 (4 were small kids) and had a lot of leftovers. The larges are a good amount of food with the thicker crust and abundant toppings. We got the Call of the Wild pie which had excellent flavors but was more dry than the red sauce pizzas. The Chugach session ale is also recommended.

WOW! Was recommended this place by a few locals & I’m sure glad I didn’t pass it up! This is a MUST visit when in Anchorage! The food was delicious, beer ice cold, & service amazing! Our waitress recommended we mix the Raspberry Ale with the Arctic Apple & boy was she right!!! Not too sweet & fruity but just right, I can still taste it now!! Got the raspberry ale by itself after & it was still good but the mixed one just was out of this world! For pizza, we got 2 small half & half pizzas (which is so cool that’s even possible here)! I got the Napoleon & elf on the shelf!! Our waitress recommended I switch out the Roma tomatoes on the napoleon side for garlic roasted tomatoes, amazing choice! I was nervous about the cream cheese base for the elf on the shelf & again our waitress recommended I get a side of regular pizza sauce on the side for dipping, also an amazing recommendation! This place was amazing, food fantastic, and people were so nice & helpful. I wish I lived here so I could come more often!!

Good, but not wait for 1.5 hours good. We heard rave reviews for this place, so had to check it out. Got there at 11:15am on a Saturday. The place was about half full and we got seated right away. Got a flight of 4 beers for $9. My favorite was the apple. Sweet, fruity, and not bitter at all. Yeah, I'm just not a beer person. Also got a salad with house made ranch. Portion was generous, veggies were fresh and the balance of cheese to veggies was perfect. Ranch was nice and garlicky. For pizza we got the Call of the Wild, which includes reindeer sausage (which is just a hot dog with a tiny amount of actual reindeer meat in it), steak, red bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, and a garlic white sauce. It was a good pizza, but not blow your mind good. Other reviewers raved about the crust, but I really didn't think it was that amazing. It was not crisp on the bottom and almost a little tough. It was a pretty good value though. We got the 18" for two of us and ended up eating it for 3 meals.

This my favorite place to go. Top pizza have to be the Santa's helper and I think this one was mafia Mike. My son demands the cheese bread everytime. Atmosphere is great. And it does get busy here so I recommend you go once they open to beat the crowd. Sundays are a great time to go for lunch! Always friendly staff and super patient. 👌

Best pizza we've ever ate. 30 min wait but well worth it! We ordered the Carnivore and the Jake's Mistake pizza with an order of breadsticks/house sauce. We ended up going back again before we left. We ordered the mozzarella breadsticks/house sauce and a small half Garlic Lovers and half Carnivore pizza.
