Wonderful hidden gem with a view to the beach. Amazing and tasty sea food & fish - boquerones (fried anchovies), super smooth clams, white shrimps, and the best ortiguillas (fried sea anemone) I have ever had. Best of all, wonderful staff! Even the coffee was excellent! Highly recommended!

Awesome family owned restaurant! We went on a detour from Granada to Malaga to check it out and did not leave disappointed or hungry!! Go for the fresh calamari and stay for the fish.

I just found a gem in this little town. I still can't believe how nice it is. The owner is amazingly nice and the food made by his wife and mother inlaw is absolutely delicious. The settings is very nice and loved the simple but very elegant decor. I got the soup to start with, which was made to order, and then the grilled sample. It was as fresh as it can be. Very thankful that I found this place. Highly recommend it to anyone one in the area. It's worth the drive if you are within the hour drive, seriously.

Had the best seafood meal ever. I had Clams for starters, then Monkfish for main. It was all cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable, restaurant run by husband and wife. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want amazing food and fantastic service.

Hello, on the way to Gibraltar we spent a few days in Motril to visit friends in Salobrena. I tried to reserve a table for three people in the evening by email and I received a very nice and friendly reply by email very promptly. Unfortunately, the Ballena Azul is only open until 4 p.m. in winter. So in the evening we went to dinner at “La Roka” in Salobrena. Since I thought the reply email was so nice and La Ballena Azul has a lot of good reviews, I stopped here for dinner at 2:30 p.m. yesterday. Very friendly/sympathetic welcome from the young owner. Very quickly a greeting came from the kitchen with the ice-cold cerveza. The “mixed fried fish platter” was very rich and all the seafood 🦞 🍤 🐠 was really delicious. I really enjoy coming here to eat again. Best regards Frank Koop
