My husband was taken by ambulance to this impressive hospital in May this year. From the moment we arrived all that seemed to happen quickly was requests for money. Sat for 4 hours waiting for information about my husband who'd apparently had a seizure. Eventually without even speaking to a doctor or any professional we were asked for a further €1000 as they recommended he stay the night. Unsure of anything we decided to leave. On returning home they will not provide any correspondence so that we can claim on our insurance despite several phone calls, emails, text from various people involved in our claim. I would advise anyone intending to use this hospital to be cautious as our experience has been disappointing to say the least.

I went to get an antigen test for my son. It took 1,5 hours instead of 20 minutes. The nurse did not know that we needed a certificate, and there was a confusion that caused more delay, while the secretaries and other employees tried to figure this out. Bad organization in a hospital that USED to be organized and effective. I hope this does not mean a change of management because if this keeps repeating, I will have to go to another hospital. Maybe the public free hospital is better as they say. WHY IS IT PEOPLE DON´T DO THEIR JOBS?

If you have cancer, please don't come to Xanit Benalmadena (nor Vithas Parque San Antonio) for treatment. The doctors are sloppy and slack and will give you stress which is bad for cancer

Today my wife had a surgery in the hospital. The attention couldn't have been WORSE. It is not the first time that we go there, and to be honest, if it weren't because the process was needed, we wouldn't have come here. The nurses did not care about her being well after the surgery. They did not give her something to eat after surgery. The doctor didn't even show up to tell her how the surgery had gone!! She was left without information, without any careing from nurses, without anyone answering her questions on the surgery. I had been waiting for 6 hours long outside without being able to get answers nor a call to tell me she was fine. I had to raise my voice in the front desk in order to finally get some answers on her status. The hospital should let you know how the surgery process is like. Nobody even told us that she was going to have to stay for 5 hours in observation post surgery. IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS HOSPITAL, DON'T HESITATE IN DOING SO.

First aid (Emergencia) worked fine distributing patients efectively to triage (selection of patients according to their urgency and medical branch). However, the good stopped after 2nd step (=nurse's/doctor's check and prescription of supporting antibiotics). The hospital ¡DID NOT HAVE ANY AVAILABLE TIMES FOR ACTUAL TREATMENT! How can they call them hospital when they do not treat the patient?¿? We were told 13.10.2019 that there is no time for (simple but needed) treatment on October at all, but after 4 weeks - IF some available times on November will come - we will call you.. What?? ¿PERHAPS on November? We have Sanitas Mas Salud full insurance, but it did not help any, too. We did not need to pay of the rwo visits, but only the prescribed medicines we paid. However.... we did not get any needed actual treatment at all from this Vithas Xanit International "Hospital" Benalmadena, unfortunately. What kind of hospitals provide this kind of "service"? Today 14.10. we will have the needed treatment at Soleye.es clinic and we wil pay it ourselves. We got treatment time from Soleye.es Fuengirola for the SAME DAY. ; ) Thank you Soleyes to understand medical urgency and helping the patient, that was unfortunately strangely, dangerously and totally neglected by Vithas Xanit International "Hospital".

(Translated by Google) Terrible experience that I will certainly not forget. The treatment I received was totally tactless and I believe that I have the right not only to be treated, for that I pay my medical insurance fee, but also to be treated with appropriate education and empathy and not with the disdain with which I think I was treated. I will not return, it is clear to me.

A very poorly run and managed hospital with almost 2 hour delay to appointment time. Unacceptable and totally unprofessional for a private health service.

The hospital in itself seems well set up but actually, they rarely if not EVER have available appointments in what seems like all of their sectors. They clearly aren't paying the staff enough as it's very obvious they are extremely understaffed, whenever I call they tell me to call the following month but all the appointments get filled in one day for the entire month as the doctors are only here what seems like one day a month. It's not good enough, it's supposed to be a private hospital! I believe someone will eventually get very sick or worse from not being able to see the doctor in time for lack of availability and they will have a big problem on their hands.

Had an appointment at 6 o'clock - was in with the doctor at 6.02, x-rays at 18.15 and saw the doctor again at 18.30. All done in 45 minutes. Really surprised and happy with the service!

(Translated by Google) After more than an hour of waiting, seeing how people who had arrived after me entered, I decided to leave. He wore an open 8-point cut and in triage they haven't even looked at me, his answer: "when we can we will take a look at it." There he could still wander the waiting room. Big disappointment.

Went for a 2nd opinion on x-ray on my broken wrist today and paid 159 euros for a result of it looks okay and you must go and see a physio. She also gave me a few exercises for the wrist but not a printout. Really very disappointed with the end result

This hospital is a complete fraud and scam. My father moved to spain and was in kidney failure and had an infection as well. He was in the ICU for 1 day until they moved him to a normal hospital bed with NO MONITORS AND HOOKED UP TO NOTHING!!! My dad called me everyday until he stopped calling and died. HE WAS the only parent i had left. The hospital refuses to send me any documents about his health or death and everytime i call them they won’t let me speak to anyone and say all i can do is file a complaint via email. My dad is dead and they won’t help me. They refuse to do an autopsy i demanded. Released him to the funeral home where he is sitting and decaying because now they can’t cremate him for me and send to the US. This is a disaster. I am already going through so much loss and pain they won’t even help. me the documents. Something shady is going on and they’re covering up their tracks. I am his daughter and i have the right to obtain documents regarding his health. They lied about the cause of death on certificate which they also refuse to help me get. I’m across the country and have limited time to figure this out and nobody’s helping me. I will file a lawsuit if nobody gets back to me.

Went on 3 occasions these last 2 weeks. Reception areas both on Planta Baja and downstairs at radiography are absolutely very poor. On each occasion I had to wait between 40 and 50 minutes before being attended to at the reception desk. This is just unacceptable. No complaints about the medical personnel, hence my 3 star rating instead of just 1 star. Seriously thinking going to another clinic in the future.

(Translated by Google) From our experience I think we can assure that it is the WORST HOSPITAL we have visited in our life. DR has treated us. IGNACIO CUETO, from the Digestive System, and we can also assure you that he has been the WORST doctor we have come across in our life. The arrogance, disdain, arrogance, lack of empathy and professionalism that he has flaunted is VERY far from conferring the status of a doctor. We were only looking for a doctor for check-ups while we are displaced here in Malaga, but we definitely prefer to travel to Madrid for our consultations with our usual hospitals than to run into this horrible hospital and this disdainful being again. The impression that the Hospital has caused us is that it is absolutely a battle site. Bad organization from the entrance, bad service, overcrowding, lack of professionalism, disorder ... I said: they will never see us there again. If someone is looking for a doctor, please, in Malaga there are other options and other hospitals that work infinitely better than this field hospital. Please, in Malaga there are better choices than this hospital. This is the worst Hospital that you can find in Malaga. If you want to receive a desrespectful treatment and, even worse, to receive a unprofessional approach, go to Xanit Hospital. Take care of yourself and your family and go to any other Hospital in the area. (Translated by Google) Completely crowded. They don't pick up the phone for appointments. I have been going to this hospital for ten years and in two or three years it has become impossible. They never pick up the phone for outpatient consultations. If after half an hour of music they answer the phone they will tell you that the specialist has a closed agenda or they will put you on the second waiting list to enter the specialist's first waiting list. Impossible for a specialist to see you before you die. To the hospital board: if the hospital is overcrowded, I suppose you are earning enough to put more telephone operators and hire more specialist doctors. Always thinking about filling your pocket and abandoning customer service things don't work out well. (Original) Completamente masificado.

(Translated by Google) Terrible, very few staff, you go to the emergency room and lose the morning. It is a shame, I have entered with covid symptoms, I have entered triage within half an hour of arriving and then they have made me wait in a room with more people, without separating myself due to possible infections. I myself brought the serological test bought outside the hospital only to have it done in 3 min and rule out the covid or not. All morning! It leaves much to be desired. It will be that now the social security is better.

After 1 Hour waiting in pediatría emergency we ask why the dr didn’t call us , she checked the system and said sorry there’s an error in the system and the changed the number . Again we wait for 45 minutes and there was no more patient we open the door of the pediatría room and Dr. was sitting and playing with his cellphone. Our children was crying and i tell him my children has a lot of pain he smiles and says use ibuprofen . Then we’re Go to the public hospital near the XANIT. Never go back to this hospital again ☹️

Yesterday I had three appointments at your hospital. 1. Delivering sputum without an appointment between 8:00 and 14:00. First I have to get a ticket for an administrative admission, waiting time 20 minutes. Paying in advance, which I do but an invoice is impossible to get and I get the promise that they will sent the invoice by e mail. Waiting 20 minutes, administrative procedure 10 minutes. I spitt in the cup and deliver it to a nurse. 2 .10:55 Pneumology for a lung test on appointment. I have to go to the reception and get a ticket for the administrative admission in the waiting room. Waiting time 25 minutes. I get a ticket with a number and go to waiting room 6 and wait 15 minutes for my turn to come up. A medical person runs the test and I go back to the reception to get a ticket to wait for my turn to pay the tests I just did. Waiting time 20 minutes and the person at the reception is unable to give me an invoice and asks me to pay with my third appointment today. This takes at least 10 minutes. Total waiting time 50 minutes. 3. 12:20 CT scan radio diagnostic. I go to the basement get an admission waiting ticket ( 20 minutes) and can pay the CT scan in advance (10 minutes), I ask them to pay as well the invoice from the lung test as requested by the reception but say that I will come back for it after the CT scan. CT scan is fast and friendly. I go without having a ticket back to the administrative desk and they say they are unable to make in invoice for the lung test. In total only 30 minutes waiting time. Result: waiting times 50 + 50 + 30 minutes, paid two medical actions and received 1 invoice which I can declare at my insurance. I do not have the words to explain how old fashion this feels. I feel treated as if my time and my well being is completely ignored and your administrative procedures although obsolete, are more important than an efficient pleasant process.

My husband was taken to this hospital in May of this year. He spent 8 days in ICU at this hospital and it was nothing short of a nightmare. On admission 1000 euro was demanded - even though we had both private insurance and travel insurance. I had to wait at least 30 - 45 minutes to speak with a doctor or nurse. Most of the staff had very little English and they had no empathy or understanding. A Doctor was very rude rude to my daughter when she asked questions about her Father's condition. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. It. Our experience was absolutely horrendous.

Not sure why there have been some negative reviews. I had to come to this hospital while visiting Spain for the first time with my Wife and 20 month old Daughter. My Daughter was very sick and we had missed a 12:00pm Flight to Madrid and we’re flying out the following day back to NY. My Daughter had fever for 3 days and of course we were scared to visit a doctor in Spain since we weren’t familiar with how things worked. Hoping to just make it back to the states my daughters fever had spiked the night prior to visiting the hospital and the rough night made us somehow miss our flight. After getting in contact with her pediatrician back home he recommended we get her checked before flying back. So now we’re looking for a hospital and our flight to Madrid was for 6:00pm and it’s 3:00pm and we’re in search for a clinic. All clinics were closed and we were referred to this hospital. When we got there we I felt comfortable and at ease right away. We explained our situation and they attended us very quickly. We were there for about 1 hour if not less for the whole process. They took some images of daughters chest and we able to identify a small infection in her lung and gave us the proper meds to treat her. I’m very grateful for how professional and courteous they were. And Thank God our daughter is well.

(Translated by Google) My father has been admitted to the hospital since Thursday to undergo a chemo cycle for non-Hodking lymphoma. Since joining they have done nothing but make mistakes. At 12 a.m. on Friday, the chemo serum had to be on, and it wasn't until 7 p.m. that it was put on. Thanks to the fact that my sister is a nurse, she also realized that one of the dreams was not active and gave a warning. It was an important serum for cleaning up chemo residue. Consequently, he has debuted with acute kidney failure and he has to undergo dialysis. The treatment of the floor nurses, disastrous. Very inexperienced and insufficient staff. More than once they have been wrong with the medication. For all this, I am not going to let this remain here and in addition to a claim, I am going to put myself in the hands of a lawyer to file a diligence or complaint. The title of International Hospital is too big for him and I am not going to go back even to have a scratch heal.

Had a serious accident a few days ago. I just have kind words for all the team at this hospital. Service was absolutely excellent, even in urgent situations when stress and short term decisions come out. Rooms are clean, and tidy and patient care team is outstanding. They even have a person in charge of the patient quality care. Dear doctors, nurses, cleaning staff and rest of the team: Thank you all. I felt like at home. I do really mean it.

My husband was took unwell whilst on hospital and was taken to Xanit as a medical emergency. They wanted a deposit in A and E until I had an insurance number. On being transferred to the ICU my deposit was refunded. 2 days later on leaving the hospital went to pay my insurance excess and the man at the desk was very rude and intimidating saying the whole bill needs to be paid€5.800 euros, with security men stood by with handcuffs this was a scary situation and in a foreign country. He wasn't having that the insurance had took the case. I paid €2.000 in the end. A week on I am still awaiting a refund from the hospital which I'm afraid I won't see! Whilst in hospital my husband was offered painkillers and sleeping tablets which he didn't require, we now know i this hospital just wants all the money it can get from you. If you don't need to go there,be taken to the Malaga hospital, the locals go there. A very scary intimidating and frightening experience!

Waiting for attendance in urgencia takes hours, there is no priority for mayores or pregnant women. In my 38 weeks i had to wait more than 2 hours without any place to sit in urgencia. The turns are so inorganized that you never understand when it will be ur turn. We ask the receptionist to tell the estimated time for waiting so we can wait in our car, but no one help us. I felt my baby kicks anf suffered from lots of pain.😔 Very bad experience

Terrible customer service, they have 12 receptionist who all look busy but are clueless and the communication is dreadful. Their booking systems and screens are a mess and someone needs to automate the processes to make them more effective and efficient. Very disappointed as I have a baby and I was made to wait nearly two hours with a pre booked appointment.

I give 1 star but I should give less if there is. I've been treated on 23/5/23 and when I've asked for an official invoice they just give me a receipt, without mentioning what was my treatment. When I've asked for clarification they said they cannot do and need to inform the competent office and they will send me the day after. Or I need to go back to the hospital to have it.!!!!!! What a service!!!! Ok fine.....i accepted and think that they will send me the day after. Now passed already 2 weeks and I didn't receive anything. I cannot claim with my insurance for what i've paid for (530 Euro) I've called several times and they always tell me that they will call me back and pass the message to office competent. I've send more than 10 emails and no one take the time to reply me. I've spent so much time to have something that perhaps needs to be settled the same day!!!! I think as they propaganda one of the best hospital of Cost del Sol they should be more professional and perhaps care about their duty and their clients. I'll never ever go in any Xanit Hope at the end I'll have what I have paid for Service 0 Professionalism 0 Customer service relations-1 Velocity of solve the problems-2

I took my 14 month old son to pediatrics emergency with 39 degrees fever and the doctor who attended him refused to do any tests of any kind. She just advised to wash the nose with physiological serum and that was it. I asked her if a test can be done to see what is the reason of the fever, maybe Covid or influenza as everyone is having it these days, she told me that I could buy a test from the pharmacy and do it myself. Later that day a few hours later we went to another private hospital with 40 degrees fever and there a number of tests have been run and he had some bacterial infection and they immediately started him on a treatment. I have been to Xanit hospital emergency room several times because it is the closest to me, and their service is really bad. 4 years ago my husband went there with some abdominal pain and was sent home commenting that it was only gas. The next day he was admitted to the hospital for a gallbladder surgery with a high level of infection in his blood. THE EMERGENCY ROOM DOES NOT TAKE THE PATIENTS SERIOUSLY.

Modern, CLEAN, up to date (private) hospital. Spoken all languages. Minimum waiting. Professional. Prefer this particular hospital above the public hospital. And I still do this after using it for a few years now :-)

Contrary to some reviews here I had an excellent experience although I only saw the emergency area. All the staff, reception, triage nurse & doctor spoke sufficient English for me to converse successfully. The place was clean & presentable (more so than some English hospitals I've been in) waiting time was less than 15 minutes although it was quite busy (Saturday midday)- you will need passport/ID, medical insurance confirmation & possibly a credit card. You can pay & use the hospital car park or the free one adjacent. Hope this is helpful.

My brother had to be rushed into Xanit International hospital as an emergency whilst on holiday last month and spent 2 weeks in intensive care and a further week in a ward before being taken to a hospital at home by air ambulance. The doctors at this hospital saved his life. I cannot praise highly enough the care and treatment he received from all the staff in intensive care and in the ward. They were very attentive and courteous throughout his stay and kept us up to date with his treatment and wellbeing .We had an interpreter called Flora who was very helpful and good at making sure we understood everything that was going on. The hospital was spotlessly clean the cleaners were constantly on site cleaning the rooms and the public areas. Our family will never be able to thank all the staff at this hospital enough for the care they gave to my brother and for saving his life we couldn't have asked for any better care and will be eternally grateful to all the staff who treated him. (Translated by Google) The worst thing is how the radiology service works. When you do a diagnostic test you have to wait a week to get the CD and report from the radiologist. In Parque San Antonio, also from the Vithas group, they give you the CD at the moment and the radiological report by email, about 7 days later. The worst was the treatment received on December 9, 2020, in the afternoon at approximately 7:30 p.m. by a girl with black hair. After suffering a long tail, where I suffered a lot, I have 5 broken vertebrae in my spine and three broken ribs. He tells me that they have to record the CD, after 10 days they have had to carry it out, he tells you as if you were a sheep, "sit down and wait". Wait again after 10 days? Again after more than 20 minutes in line ?. Well, yes, all this with very bad manners to be standing up for a hospital, which wants prestige and where she is not up to the task to be in customer service, not that way. Then he began to babble, saying something unintelligible about me, where I had to ask him three times what he had told me when I turned around. What he replied that "if I was there to cause problems". Forgive me problems? Do I have to be at least 20 waiting in line to receive a CD that is not recorded after 10 days? Where do you try to explain to me how many CDs she records per day as if she were tired? To which I commented that I have a severe disability, my degree of dependence, 5 broken vertebrae, three broken ribs that break from vomiting, and I have not told him my life, to justify myself. So your problems when you are being paid for it is not where you should direct your complaints. Bad service and tacky. Mal servicio y chabacana.

So my wife is going through counselling and for her like everybody else who suffers with mental heath problems is very difficult, the receptionist on the desk as she signs in knowing what she is going in for is absolutely horrible and upsets her and puts her in the wrong frame of mind for her session, for me as a husband this is soo frustrating when all you want to do is see you wife get better, it is absolutely disgusting, before people start this is a private insurance we pay good money for and it isn't acceptable at all!

My wife broke a bone in her foot and the attitude of staff was this is a money machine with patients care a secondary concern. Having eventually got xrays and a back slab put on to secure the fracture we were being urged to leave with no crutches without which my wife couldn't walk..2 hours later after much discussion with reception staff the crutches arrived and we were virtually pulled out of reception area into a waiting taxi shocked by the callous attitude.

I would recommend both Vithas hospitals (Fuengirola & Benalmadena) for any problem! The staff is super friendly, patient and helpfull. They all speak perfect English, which I find important as my Spanish is far from good enough to explain my health problems. Its a joy to go there. I sent them an email and they replied right away, with the necessary information. They are very patient, friendly and helpfull on the phone. Its the best service you can imagine!!

I woke up in hideous pain on the very first day of my holiday. The notes in the house we were staying in recommended this hospital in case of need so we drove to Urgencias. I was a mess by the time I arrived and they were amazing. Within 20 minutes I had seen the duty doctor and was hooked up to iv painkillers. I was admitted and spent 2 nights there whilst they carried out investigations and helped me decide on the best course of treatment - turned out to be a kidney stone. I felt in safe and caring hands at all times. The medical staff were efficient and professional. Petra (from the customer care team) was so helpful with translation and liaising with my travel insurers. Of course it's a private hospital so it doesn't come cheap and you are responsible for paying the fees and reclaiming from your insurers. They saved my holiday and I am very grateful!

Xanit Hospital Benalmadena. I am a retired medical professional, therefore amply able to quantify the quality of this hospital. My family and I , experienced as long term patients I consider the level of attention to be highly efficient & professional at every level. From reception, appointments, A&E, Radiology, laboratory, surgery and in-patient care are all perfect. Friendly caring staff are always present. It is a superb model for a modern hospital. Recent structural changes with a new extension have enabled the building of a much larger radiology department , with a completely re designed, enlarged and streamlined outpatient & consulting room area. I therefore highly recommend this hospital

I’m very disappointed. I can’t get an appointment for one month now . Not only for me but for my child too for different doctors . Any time I call or come to book an appointment. The system isn’t working , or schedule isn’t available. Whole November I kept calling to book for December and it wasn’t available and suddenly the next day all December turned out to be full, and January still not available. All this because private patients are in priority . If you have insurance you won’t get any service and health care. ( by the way insurance isn’t cheap) . I never saw such awful service in private hospital anywhere

Gynecology and OB unit is super unfriendly and unreliable. Not allowed to record your scans to show family. Came for pregnancy scans and waited over 1hr 40mins for my appointment only to be told my OB is "in traffic" AFTER I went to reception to ask why we waiting so long. Needed an emergency scan as I had a miscarraige scare and was told they don't do those there and I needed to go to another hospital. So if you pregnant don't use this hospital!

Excellent service, terrible scheduling system. This is a very good hospital, if you have the time to wait … and wait, and wait, and wait. I have had to walk away from 2 consecutive appointments because I waited over 30 minutes since check-in, and had to leave due to work meetings, or parenting scheduling conflicts. Not acceptable, will find an alternative.

The most appalling aftercare we've received at this hospital. If I could give minus 0 stars I would! My 15 Yr old son had an operation on his foot, whereby the surgeon said he could not walk on it, or put any pressure on it at all until 3 wks after they took off the cast and dressing. So, we go to this appointment with the surgeon to take off the cast and they then leave my son sitting in the waiting room with a simple plaster on his wound and tell us to go find a shop that sells the protective boots, Really!! They have a pharmacy in the hospital, which is where the Dr. said we'd get the boot, he give us a prescription, but oh no! they only supply items like this to in-patients. The admin. staff stopped my son getting this vital assistance to his aftercare, it is not allowed to out-patients that have just had surgery and need this aftercare, the hospital pharmacy is only for in-patients. I pay the highest premium to Sanitas Health Insurance and I had to get my son in a taxi to the only orthopaedic pharmacy in the area to buy him a boot and dressings so he can walk after his surgery from this private hospital. They are complete money grabbers, the insurance company's need to take them to task. We had to buy the crutches before he went in also, surely the amount the insurance company pays should cover basic aftercare!! I complained to the admin. management, and the response I received was not the only time I have been given the same so called reason for the substandard service "this is Spain, we do it like this' it's absolute nonsense, the Spanish now use this as an excuse to giving terrible service! Official complaint to follow to Vitas Xanit, I'm absolutely outraged that a hospital can leave a 15 Yr old sitting in a waiting room, after having surgery in their hospital, with a plaster on the wound, and unable to walk, to be told, go find a pharmacy to care for you, we are done!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Went to the A&E due to badly hurt foot (thought I broke it), take 500€ before even looking at me. Fair enough that's what Insurance is for, Had the Xray told me nothing wrong just bad twist and sent out. Tried even without invoice due to their system went down but I waited for it. Got back to the UK 5 days later. And was admitted into hospital with multiple broken bones and required surgery. Simply very poor service...

Avoid this hospital! I had to visit the hospital because of a sinus infection, but was rushed into several entirely useless procedures just to hike up the bill. The whole experience was horrible with unfriendly and rude staff. However, the worst part was that a nurse stole 340 euros from my purse in my handbag that I left in the examination room with the nurse when I was pushed into a toilet for another useless test. The hospital operations reeks of scamming people in every possible way. Despicable behaviour preying on people in a vulnerable situation.

Mr. Stefan told me that I had a small lump in my leg and that they would take it off in a few hours, when I went to pick up Bimba and was completely anesthetized and a bandage since Mr. Stefan said that he had part of this lump a fracture, I found it very strange since Bimba had no discomfort in the leg. The days went by and Bimba was getting worse and there came a time when he didn't even support his leg. We decided to take her to another veterinarian in Vélez malaga to give us a second opinion. This veterinarian confirmed to us after several radiographs that Bimba had no fracture or had operated on any lump, and because of the bandage her leg was rotting and if we had He let the two weeks pass that Stefan advised us to have lost his leg. Stefan charged us 93 euros for not doing ANYTHING, we don't care about money anymore but we don't want him to hurt more dogs. I would not trust many other vets with my animals and when in Spain I travelled over an hour to see him because I know he will make a correct diagnosis and take the most appropriate action first time. My house sitters tried other vets but they too now use him as the vet of choice. Stefan takes a naturalistic approach to healthcare and does not over prescribe. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) I went in October for some lumps inside the eyelids. The doctor who treated me was Dr Martínez. He saw many lumps inside, he said there were too many to count (it surprises me) the fact is that he sent me 1 month of antibiotics. No probiotics or review. I took a month of antibiotics because he told me that I had many and that it could not be operated or it would destroy my eyelids. The fact is that a month later I went to another doctor since I felt worse, I felt that I was going to have an infection from one day to the next and my eyes were even worse. The other doctor told me that a month of antibiotics is a lot and not to take it again. That a month of antibiotics is not recommended, if that is a few days. The fact is that the doctor told me that it was something chronic that was going to happen to me for ages. I looked for another doctor, on the 3rd and he told me that I had the candida, the hormones, the flora and the fatal defenses. Apart from the fact that the eye was only getting worse. A few days with his treatment and my eye improved a lot. The problem now is with the rest of the things that triggered taking a month of antibiotics. Now I am on treatment to regulate hormones, improve acne due to hormones, improve my defenses and all the flora that antibiotics destroy. All this in the midst of a pandemic that is very important to have good defenses. (Translated by Google) I have been here for 2 weeks, and can only say that I think this is an excellent hospital. I don't speak the (Spanish) language, but when the doctor had been, an interpreter called who explained everything in my own language, really fantastic! Also all praise for the sisters on the 3rd floor, all so sweet. Fresh linen every day, and the food was good and varied, in short, a big 8 for this Hospital!

(Translated by Google) Good and great professionals, they do the best they can despite the situation. My only downside is the patient management service in the emergency room, in my personal opinion, it can be improved. Today I was unlucky enough to wait almost two hours to be treated for considerable pain. Due to the new measures of social distance, I think that in triage they did not realize it. I waited more than 90 minutes and when I saw that I was not called, I had to complain. I understand that there are patients with higher priority than others, due to different pathologies, but please bear in mind how stressful these long waits are.

Went for covid tests today. They are done opposite the main building above the càfe. We were given our certificates and we were out in 30 minutes. The building is clean and staff professional. The cost was reasonable at €35 each . Would highly recommend.

Very good experience at emergency yesterday. Terrible iciatic pain. I was attended fast and the doctor was extremely friendly and sorted the pain efficiently. Triage and radio and injection very quick and efficient.

PLEASE SEE MY PREVIOUS REVIEW AND PLEASE SEE THE REPLY FROM VITHAS TO ALL BAD REVIEWS, THEY PROVIDE AN EMAIL FOR COMPLAINTS THAT BOUNCES BACK ! I just wrote to that email and it bounces back immediately....This company is a joke! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I don't have a private insurance and booked a mammogram, to self fund. They said I would need to book a gynecologist's visi, in order to get the referral for the mammogram:gynecologist visit €159 and mammogram 80€; I accepted and they booked it for today. Iwent there this morning and they didn't have my reservation for the mammogram, only the gynecologist.I tried to explain that I could not delay the mammogram, and that's why I booked with them, rather than using the free national health service. The staff patronised me, treated me really poorly, none of which spoke any English-I had to re-explain my situation several times in my poor Spanish(I'Italian native speaker) In the end they found my reservation for the mammogram and they said it was 150€, not 80€ as they told me by email at the moment of booking. The EXTREMELY patronising receptionist with dark hair, fringe and terrible attitude went as far as saying that I was lying!I've shown her the email showing the prices, and she said"it must be old prices" I told her to look at the date of the email:5th of October 2021(today its 12/10) She said that anyway that was wrong and new price is 150 She said that I would have to pay anyway for the gynecologist, because the referral had already been issued by the gyne. At which point I refused to pay, a woman called Erika , English speaker rang me and after I explained what happened she came to meet me.I cued for another 20 mins but they told me that the charges for gyne could not be waive, (despite this mess was all their fault) and they advised me to take the mammogram anyeay. Erika told me not to worry, that they won't charge me for a service I didn't get. The patronising, authoritarian, awful attitude of the staff, was much worse than the national health service! So wheres the points of spending money in this badly managed service. I'm mortified by the way the treated me this morning . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITL, they can't even book an appointment ...Imagine giving you a diagnosis! I'm left mortified and also having wasted half day of my work, taxy fares, bus fare, lunch and the damage coming from being BULLIED in a place that should be safe and respectful. If you really HAVE TO go, just cover you back and ask for everything in writing. DON'T GO!!!!!!!

Clean friendly hospital and staff would recommend as a international hospital. My not so perfect Spanish was welcomed and appreciated. However making an appointment was difficult and I had to call everyday and use the app to get a follow up. It took from first consultation to review of results 6 weeks. But overall good hospital.

Some admission hiccups but this was down to my insurance. A wait further than this once admitted while waiting for surgery, but I was fine with this. Very friendly staff, all of them were so nice and courteous to my needs. Also the food was pretty decent, for lunch was French onion soup starter, then main was seared tuna steaks with sliced baked potatoes. Pretty damn tasty. Hospital had WiFi too and they have flats screens so my advice is bring a firestick or something similar and you can keep yourself entertained also Overall a lovely place and the view from the room was sublime My best regards To all the staff at Xanit Hospital

Excellent treatment overall- medical staff first class. My complaints are Two fold: I thought my hospital room was poor- sparse IKEA furnishings and poor noise insulation. The shower floor was dangerous. Secondly I was annoyed by having to wait until 13:00 before being discharged. I had been up since 8:00 and was told by the nurses that I would be discharged immediately the doctor arrived. I waited until almost 13:00 before the doctor arrived, she gave a one page report and left. Having to wait needlessly for over 4 hours was disrespectful of my time and I strongly resented this. Please respect our time: “Life is too short”

We were referred to this hospital by the Vithas call centre due to an obstetric emergency, so we came all the way from Fuengirola - just to find out they do NOT have obstetric emergency. To say it's ridiculous is an understatement.

My son who is 6 had a shellfish allergy which we new nothing about before our holiday and he had a very bad reaction to it. We were treated quickly, effectively and efficiently by the team at the hospital. 1.5hrs for arrival to discharge. We were treated with respect and informed of everything. Thank you.

Absolutely incredible hospital. Dr Antonio Fernandez saved our sons life. The nurses were remarkable (level 2, Sergio, Antonio, Luciano, Bella, Thalia, Sandra and Anna. The food is very good the rooms are cleaned daily and the all round care was with precision timing and finesse. 5 stars for this hospital with the kindest people working there. Thank you to all of the staff, absolutely amazing people.

My husband spent over a week there for emergency blood clots in his leg and lungs. The care and expertise was excellent with a translator accompanying the doctor whenever he explained a procedure. Good food and ocean view thrown in! Gracias!!

Yesterday we had an appointment with a neurologist as my husband has long covid fir 14 months now and the stress and pressure of such a long illness is tiring, we go explain he does tests says nothing wrong go back to work !!! Wow empathy and ignorance at its best. Learn about this disese and help us. Long covid clinics should be opened and staff trained I went away crying and again we were dismissed from there with no help.

It is very difficult to get an appointment so I had to go somewhere else even tho Vithas is nearest to me. With private insurance you expect to be able to see a doctor in days not weeks. The emergency reception works very well .

If any clowns are reading this while trying to find their circus then don’t worry, we have found it. My daughter broke her arm and we booked an appointment on the phone to come and remove the pins and the plaster. The lady gave me a choice of appointments and told me they would fetch the medical records from the hospital in Malaga, and even offered to cancel the existing appointment in the Malaga hospital. When we arrived after an hour’s driving there was no records, and nobody knew what procedure was necessary, we were advised to go to the canteen and wait while they chased their tails for a couple of hours deciding what to do.

Good morning to everyone, I was in the Xanit Hospital emergency room on (Aug.17,2023 )due to dizziness , weak ,felt vomitting and sweating cold .I want to express my deep gratitude to the entire Xanit Emergency team, with especial mention to Dr. Alejandro Lobato , the attentive nurses, and the helpful receptionist. Their swift assistance, combined with their professionalsm and compassion, ensured i received the appropriate medication. I enthusiastically endorse Xanit Hospital as well as our family dedicated Physician Dra.Laura Nacher Lambis she is a great Physician❤️❤️❤️

Very disappointed with treatment from the paediatrician Antonio Jose Conejo Fernandez. After a very brief consultation, he offered no script for medicine but he did very graciously give me a list of guidelines on when I should bring my daughter to the hospital, he said I should read it. It didn’t matter that she had been running a temperature and screaming for hours before. I came for help and was treated with contempt. I live very nearby and have been going to Xanit for year, but I would rather travel further away than come back here and be treated poorly by staff who don’t care about anything.

Initial appointment on 9th August with Dr Alicia Paris very efficient. Great Dr with good plan for intervention. Also fluent English, although she is a native Spaniard. Intervention booked within 10 days in hospital. Admission and procedure very competent on Friday 18th August. However to book a secondary appointment with Dr Paris I hit a brick wall! Desk in Vithas unable to book. But gave me phone no to call to book appointment. Phoned when I got home. Dial 1 to speak English. Dial 3 for appointment. Waited for answer. At last, but only speak Spanish…No provision for English. (Hospital Vithas Xanit “International”) …really and only Spanish language available??? All was not lost. I downloaded the App on my I-Phone. The App is useless! It is a farce. It’s full of circular references. It must have been designed by a child. I tried the Website which was equally useless. Finally on Friday night I asked a Spanish friend to come and help me. Called the phone no and laboriously explained the request. Finally was told to expect a call back with the appointment booking. No call back! On Monday 21st, I called the phone no again and the hospital reception there told me they would get an English speaker to call me back. No call back AGAIN! And this claims to be an International hospital. No calls back by Tuesday 22nd. In the end I went to my local Dr’s receptionist and begged her to organise an appointment for me. 15 minutes later, all done and appointment booked for me at Vithas with Dr Paris at 10:00 on 4th Sept. Thanks Rosa, you are a star! Note I am a cash payer. If this is how they treat folk who pay upfront, God help those who are using medical insurance companies! Ian Hannay

Avoid this hospital My husband was admitted to this hospital in 2021, 2022 and 2 days ago. In 2021 I visited him on a Sunday, and he was on the floor (with a broken leg) trying to get onto the sofa, to get out of the window as he was hallucinating. He was on the second floor! The window was then closed and locked but no-one had noticed my husband on the floor, which is a worry. I then had to push for a brain scan, which, according to Xanit showed nothing abnormal. He has now been diagnosed with dementia at Guadalhorce hospital, so I chose to go private again to make things happen faster. We saw a neurologist at Xanit who said he should be hospitalised. When we arrived at the hospital it took over 20 minutes to park as the car park was full, then when we got to reception there were almost 35 people in front of us. We were over an hour late to get to our appointment and then the computers went down!!! We had to go down to Urgencias to be admitted. They told me he had to go to a hospital in Malaga. I then had to go back to the neurologist, as Urgencias refused to call him, and he told them to admit my husband. There was an amazing lack of communication, and the girl who was in triage was basically rude. We were then subjected to a 2/3 hour wait, then taken to a surgical ward where the nurses all moaned about the fact he was being taken into this hospital. I speak and understand Spanish so was very aware of the things being said and I am absolutely horrified at how we were treated. He was hospitalised on Wednesday, and we were told he would get an MRI and CT scan. My husband was aggressive, and I was told I had to stay with him 24/7. This is not why I’m paying private health insurance. I was told there are insufficient nurses to deal with all the patients they have, so I had to stay. The MRI and CT scan didn’t happen as the machine had broken down!!! My husband was very agitated, and the neurologist and I agreed he would be better at home. Therefore, we had to make an appointment for the MRI and CT scan (29th November) I waited over an hour to make this appointment, while my husband was in his hospital room. There were 6 people in front of me, and one person in reception, who decided to deal with people who jumped the queue and one friend (I think Fran was his name). Reception staff are awful and provide terrible customer service. They wander away on their phones when they feel like it and don’t appreciate that people visiting the hospital may be dealing with life and death situations. They are abysmal and need training. I see from these reviews this has been going on for over a year, so I’m not sure if my comments will make any difference at all. Absolutely shocking service. On a brighter note, when you actually get to see a specialist, they are amazing.

Not as professional and friendly as they promote, all about earning money from you or your insurance but with very little care or treatment. All year with appointments and specialist for cancer an tumours ,scan after scan but not any diagnosis or treatment . I got broken cartilage on the right and left of my knee but no operation, and suffering with swollen eye, colour change, nose and cheek burning pain and insane pressure on head and face but still no help , even though colour change on scan for my rights side of brain , cyst inside my face and gigantic problem at the back of my head ,which was all told to me by another hospital but Xanit say no problem all year and haven’t operated or treated.also had camera down my throat twice and rectom twice and done blood test but yet I’ve gone into emergency 4 times or more and still not helped me. Thanks to another hospital just been told I’ve got type 2 diabetes for life but yet Xanit tell me no issues and no diagnosis or treatment? So now my life is cut shorter and can’t eat much and my health getting worse.I hope I’m not dying but still don’t have any diagnosis or confirmation of anything. Now thinking I need to go to another country for help ? Wouldn’t recommend to nobody?? They won’t do anything about these reviews and even give the same answer to each person. As you see they want me to send my information but they have all my information and most of the staff know me. They should contact me and take me into the hospital and check and repair everything, operation if needed but fast because of there negligence im now in very bad position and suffering, thinking where I go to correct these issues

DON’T GO HERE. The receptionist made us pay a consultation fee for our 2 year old son of €250 and we stupidly didn’t ask for a receipt. Then also asked us for a €500 deposit, but instead of paying said we could just come back to the reception after. We came back, then they asked us to pay €274 for the consultation, THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR, yet they were adamant that we had not paid. We asked them to check the cameras but of course their security sided with them AND we didn’t get to see the footage ourself. Disgraceful. UPDATE!!!! We went to a private doctor and he IMMEDIATELY said my son needs antibiotics and that he has a small infection under the lumps in his throat and if we waited longer we would have to go to the hospital so they could make an incision to drain them! This hospital should NEVER be allowed to work with sick people and especially NOT with children.
