DO
NOT
GET
WAXING
DONE
FROM
QUO
VADIS
BEAUTY
&
WELLNESS
CENTER.
I
dislike
writing
negative
reviews,
but
I
had
such
an
awful
experience
that
I
felt
it
necessary
to
warn
those
who
are
looking
for
waxing
while
in
Brussels.
Honestly,
I
have
NO
idea
how
their
waxing
reviews
are
so
great.
I’m
no
stranger
to
waxing,
but
have
NEVER
had
an
experience
like
this.
The
woman
waxing
me
didn’t
wear
gloves
and
by
the
time
I
realized
that
she
had
been
REUSING
THE
SAME
WAXING
STICK
THROUGHOUT
THE
SESSION
it
was
too
late
for
me
to
do
anything.
During
the
wax,
the
woman
kept
opening
the
door
and
leaving
while
I
was
bottomless
with
my
legs
spread
apart
and
wax
left
on
my
body.
And
then,
even
though
I
specifically
kept
asking,
gesturing,
etc.
for
her
to
leave
a
little
hair
on
my
labia
because
I
have
sensitive
skin,
she
waxed
it
anyway.
To
add
insult
to
injury,
it
has
now
come
to
my
attention
that
she
actually
lifted
patches
of
skin
off
of
my
pelvic
area,
leaving
me
with
painful
red
blotches
and
an
obvious
burn.
To
her
credit,
when
I
expressed
how
upset
I
was
with
the
wax,
she
didn’t
charge
me.
Thank
goodness,
though,
because
it
has
cost
me
that
much
at
the
pharmacy
to
pick
up
anti-bacterial
sprays
and
creams
just
to
try
soothing
the
damage
that
had
been
done.
Needless
to
say,
I’m
still
livid.
The
kicker?
When
I
asked
to
see
the
manager,
it
turned
out
that
she
was
the
manager.
Thank
you
for
not
charging
me,
but
this
should
never
have
been
an
issue.

Response
to
The
Owner
(8/2/18):
Unfortunately,
I
hadn’t
exaggerated
anything
in
my
review,
which
is
why
I
was
so
upset.
-Waxing:
I
had
not
only
explained
what
I
wanted
to
the
woman
waxing,
but
also
to
the
English-speaker
on
the
phone.
Honestly,
though,
this
was
the
least
of
my
concerns.
It
was
an
accident,
I
understand.
Life
goes
on.
-Burns:
You’re
absolutely
correct,
burns
are
always
a
risk.
However,
leaving
hot
wax
on
someone
for
longer
periods
of
time
while
leaving
the
room
obviously
doesn’t
help
with
preventing
lifting
of
skin.
It
took
3
days
to
mostly
calm
the
huge
red
patches
and
I’m
still
dealing
with
the
raw
lifted/burned
patches
of
skin
in
other
areas.
-Gloves
and
Stick:
“Double-dipping”
of
sticks
may
not
be
against
the
rules,
but
it
is
generally
recognized
as
a
disgusting
and
incredibly
unsanitary
practice.
Read
any
article
about
waxing
and
you
will
see
remarks
to
avoid
waxing
facilities
that
double-dip.
Wax
is
hot,
but
not
hot
enough
to
kill
the
bacteria,
diseases,
STDs,
etc.
that
have
been
added
to
the
wax
pot
from
other
clients.
By
double-dipping,
you
risk
unnecessarily
exposing
your
clients
to
all
of
this.
As
a
facility
that
specializes
in
hair
removal,
you
should
train
your
employees
to
know
better.
-Interruptions
(Door
Opening):
I
understand
that
Saturdays
may
be
busy
and
that
a
manager
may
need
to
be
pulled
away.
However,
the
woman
waxing
had
to
open
the
door
wide
enough
to
go
through
it
several
times.
If
I
can
see
the
people
walking
by,
I
think
it’s
safe
to
assume
that
they
can
see
me.
That
aside,
it’s
still
not
appropriate
to
leave
wax
on
a
client’s
skin
for
so
long
while
attending
to
other
things,
as
I’ve
already
mentioned.
-Team
Member:
She
was
very
sweet
and,
after
reading
your
response,
it’s
clear
that
it’s
not
her
fault
for
having
been
trained
in
unsanitary
wax
practices.
I
felt
so
awful
about
having
to
complain
that
I
actually
cried
a
little
while
expressing
my
frustrations
because
she
really
was
a
kind
person.
I
no
longer
fault
her
for
my
experience,
but
I
do
fault
your
facility
for
not
having
trained
her
to
adhere
to
safer
practices.
As
someone
who
relies
on
online
reviews
to
find
quality
service
providers,
I
felt
that
it
was
important
to
post
my
experience
for
others
who
do
the
same.
I
understand
that
you
need
to
defend
your
facility,
but
as
I
stated
earlier,
I
didn’t
exaggerate
anything.
