' అపర అన్నపూర్ణమ్మ, డొక్కా సీతమ్మ ' long back there is a lesson about Smt. Dokka seethamma garu in elementary school text books explaining the greatness of her pious life and annadanam. She has shown compassion towards poor and particularly pregnant women. Seethamma garu is the most popular and memorable person amongst so many people. Her house has recently renovated and kept in good condition for the visitors to Gannavaram. The newly constructed aquiduct and bridge across the river Godavari at p.gannavaram has named with her to respect her for centuries. We can visit the old Sir Arthur Cotton's aquiduct in the same village.

Of course it is amazing. My dad's birth place and this is where I spent most of my summer vacations when in school

Statues of these prominent persons should be erected across so that next generation understand the importance of actual service

It was ancient tails roof house hundreds of years back, near Godavari river Bank. This village in the middle of Godavari branch river vasista. This village called as Lankala Gannavaram because of the river situated around this village. It was a beautiful village still having that legend Mahan sree Dokka sitamma successors doing charity's in their own way.

Nice to see her place. Wish the Government and Authorities out some efforts to keep up this place and the memory of such a generous and selfless human to leave this legacy for all posterity
