The temple is situated in the town of Srisailam on the banks of River Patalganga Krishna. Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is in Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple and is dedicated to both Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvati. The huge temple is built in the Dravidian style with lofty towers and sprawling courtyards and is considered to be one of the finest specimens of Vijayanagar architecture.

Harhar Mahadev Shambo Shankara, This is my favorite temple of lord shiva. The forest route makes the temple more special, temple is surrounded by Nalamala forests and you can witness some of the breathtaking views in the country. Wiki, Srisailam Set amidst lush green surroundings, this historical town is famous for its ancient temples and invites pilgrims from all corners of India. Srisailam is counted as one of the 12 jyotirlingas and is also blessed to be a shaktipeeth (devotional shrine where the severed body parts of Goddess Sati fell), which make it a very popular spiritual spot. The Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple and the Bhramaramba Devi Temple are among the most famous temples in town and are thronged by a large number of devotees. Srisailam is also known for the Akka Mahadevi Caves, the Kadali Vanam Caves, the Srisailam Dam and the Srisailam Wildlife Sanctuary. While it requires one to take a boat ride on River Krishna to reach the amazing Akka Mahadevi Caves, reaching the Kadali Vanam Caves involves trekking for 12 km. The Srisailam Dam is visited by nature lovers for its breathtaking beauty. The Srisailam Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Rajiv Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary, is one of the largest tiger reserves in India and houses a wide variety of animals including blackbucks, sambars, panthers, spotted deer and sloth bears. Srisailam is located at a distance of 228 km from Amaravati and 217 km from Hyderabad.

I have visited this temple on the number of 6th out of 12 Jyotirlingas. I love this temple with so peaceful and energetic environment. This place here Lord Shiva lived with Mata Parvati and Ganesh. When you visit shiva temple then you have to visit Parvathi ji temple. After the both temples. You have finally visit to Sakshi Ganpathi temple to Mark the attendence. It's a saying here that Lord Ganesha will verify your presence to Lord Shiva. I love this story 😊. I'm sharing the photos of the temple and the way of scenic route

Really it amazing & beautiful place,i love this place, The best season to visit Srisailam is the winter season. The temperature remains comfortable and is apt for sightseeing. The best months to visit are November, December, January, February and March. Srisailam has a deluxe and a lot for medium to budget accommodation options. The town is famous for Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple and is one of the holy pilgrimage site for Saivism and Shaktism sects of Hinduism. The town is classified as both Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha. Omm nomo shivya.

The pious jyotirling located in the depth of Sri sailam tiger reserve is a must go place for those seeking spirituality in the arm of natural beauty. However , 1 - Be informed of timing from official website. 2- Also Visit Sikharam Temple , Panchdhara, Hateshwar temple and Sakshi Ganpathi temple located within 10-12 kms from main temple complex. 3- Carry sufficient cash with you. 4- On weekends booking accommodations can be challenging particularly if you are not a Telugu speaking person. 5- Ropeway facility to pathal ganga, Krishna river available (charge ₹80/person ). Can visit cave temples.

Among 12 Jyotirlingas , this is the 2nd Jyotirlingas . This is placed on the sri sailam hill . The Temple is managed by Trust and the trust is undoubtedly doing a fabulous job to keep the sanity of the premises and temple. You can reach here by road transportation which is available from hyderabad and chennai from both points. The road is neat clean and well maintained. The AP state govt run bus is also available. In the way you will get a reserve forest and the beauty of the way is outstanding. You will be amazed by seeing the beauty of nature through your journey. After reaching there many guest houses are available as well as trust run hotels are also available. It's suggested to book accommodation online . AP state govt tourism department's hotel is also available and you need to book it only online mode. It's the best among all accommodations available there. For the puja process there are many customize options for devotee . You can book online sparsha darshanam , Abhisekam , garbhagriham and many others . Apart from that free darshan is also available. The trust maintain and take due care for every devotee and arrangement is very nice. Apart from this there are Patal ganga which you can go through walking the stairs or rope way. After visiting the jyotirlinga you must visit the sakshi ganapati temple .

Om namah Shivaya It’s 2nd jyotirling among 12 jyotirlinga. It’s beautiful and peaceful. There is three type of paid darshan , sighra darshan, Aati sighra darshan & sparsh darshan which cost 150/-,300/- & 500/- respectively. A very good management by Srisailam trust keeping entire campus neet & clean. If you are not able to get tickets online then don’t be disappointed you can get offline tickets from counter but have to be in line for longer time. If you are married and wants to Sparsh darshan then better to go with Abhishek so you’ll able to touch jyotirling and pouring milk which cost 1500/- for married couples. Yes we need to maintain dress code for this temple. If you are willing to touch Shivling then you need to wear traditional dress ( White lungis and sarees) , pls avoid western dress. Unmarried girls can wear suits. Within 24 hrs we have completed twice Sparsh darshan and one time sighra darshan. It’s amazing feeling which you can’t describe in words. There is water & light show inside the campus which start 7-7:45 & 8- 8:45 PM. You need to pay 50/- for it. Kid will like it. Always plan the way you reach in day time, so you can enjoy Ghat road driving. You have to pay 100 as toll tax for city entry and don’t forget to visit Sakshi Ganapathi darshan otherwise your Darshan won’t be counted.

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Seamy temple is very beautiful with full of positive vibes. It’s one of the Jyothirlingas out of 12. Temple premises is well maintained and organised for devotees. It may take 30 mins to max 2 hours for Dharshan depending upon the seasons. There are facilities for early darshan also for 300 rupees. Mobile and other electronics devices are not allowed inside the temple. There are facilities to keep mobile phone and luggage’s safely. Daily prasadam is there for devotees. It will take 4-5 hours to reach from Hyderabad by private vehicle. There are many hotels are for accommodation. Better to carry umbrella if you are coming in summer or rainy seasons.

This is my favorite place on earth. Very powerful. Jyotirling and Shaktipeeta both are at one place. Recently lot of development taken place at the temple. Generally free darshan takes around 2-3 hours and paid darshan 1 hour. One who wants sparsha darshan can opt for vip break darshan which costs Rs. 500 per head or abhishekam which is Rs. 1500 per couple. If you want to have peaceful darshan go at 4 am, you can also witness harati. Ugadi day and Maha Shivaratri days huge crowd will be there.

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is the second Jyotirlinga amongst the 12 throughout India. A beautiful temple and the only Jyotirlinga to have both Lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati temples. There are three darshan tickets: Rs.150, 300 & Rs.500 VIP Sparshan darshan where you can touch the lingam (not available always). The free darshan available can take time sometimes but usually it takes around the same time as sheegrah darshan. Prasadam Laddoos are available at Counter after darshan at Rs. 25 each. Book your stay prior to the visit as the city is really small and not many places are available. Best places to stay are government accommodations which are basic but decent.

This is one of the jyotiling where we come for worship the lord Shiva. No star can rate this kind of divine place but I must say the management is very good. They take the phone at entrance so it's hard to take pictures and because of this we have no distraction and no one tell you to pay any money or anything so fully devoted to lord Shiva . And before going to temple there are one dam on the way which is so huge and mesmerizing view which is worth going their take raincoat if you are going in 2 wheeler or even coming out of car take raincoat to save from water force. You can't handle umbrella better to take raincoat to enjoy the view and the power of water.

The Second Jyotirlinga Shree Mallikarjun 🪷✨🙏🏻🚩 This jyotirlinga is believed to provide you blessings if you are struggling with luck as well as in marriage. This is the jyotirlinga of Vigro (Kanya) zodiac sign. Lord Murugan came here when he got angry on Goddess Parvati and then Lord Mahadeva and Goddess Parvati followed him here. Goddess Parvati is in the form of Bhramarambhadevi which is also a Shaktipeeth among the 52 shaktipeethas. The meaning of the deity name is as follows - Mallika- Parvati Arjun - Mahadev There are 5 ways of darshan for per person: 1. Free Darshan 2. Sheeghra Darshan ₹150 (fast) 3. Atti Sheeghra Darshan ₹300 (more fast) 4. Alkankara Darshan ₹500 5. Sparsha Darsha ₹500 (not available daily check temple official website for more details)

Being one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, it is a very sacred place. But one thing I must highlight, there is a huge mismanagement. I purchased online darshan ticket from the official website. My timing was mentioned as 6am to 7:30 am in the ticket. We reached the mandir by sharp 7 am, but to a surprise, they said we can only visit the mandir at 10 am. So we waited till 10 for darshan. It was a very bad experience. Also, please note that there are no hotels here. You need to depend on the dharmashalas. Also one of the tourist attraction is on the way to the Malikarjuna temple is Srisailam dam. It is the second largest hydroelectric dam of India with a very beautiful view.

Har Har Mahadev!! This temple is very much clean and tidy. There are around more than 100 worker cleaning road towards temple. There is a problem with a langauage over here. Temple timing is not provided properly. Beside that waiting area is very huge, they provide prashad and water while waiting. Phones are not allowed but they allow to their local people. There are small vendors out side the temple.

Shiv Shanker and Mata Parvati is in same place everyone can take darshan at same time. There is also a water show held in the temple, about the Shivshanker's Mallikarjun avtaar. Must visit other temples around the temple.

This temple is very old and one of the jyotirlingam out of 12. Temple architecture is superb. This temple was famous at approximately 4th century. Devotees will get peaceful mind while roaming in this temple. Very huge crowd. There are some tickets according to price, free, 150/-Rs, 300/-Rs and VIP 500/-Rs. This is the only temple where we can see sri saila mallikarjuna lingam and brahmarambika Devi sakthi peetam in one temple premises. This temple is under maintained and worshipped by many kings like sathavahanulu, yakshwakulu, Vishnukundinulu, kadambulu, pallavulu, cholulu, rastrakutulu, chanakyalu, kakathiyulu, reddy rajulu, vijayanagara rajulu, maharastrulu. Every devote must be visit Sri sailam pilgrim. There is no hotels near temple. There are many community blocks located here for providing the rooms. Like kapu, reddy, balija etc. After reaching Sri sailam need to go according to the community block. Community is doing very late for allocation of room. Always they say it's full. Time may Take hours, we fed up for rooms, finally we went to sunnipenta village and we took the hotel room. It's 10 kilometres from srisailam Bus stand. Busses available and may be fare is approximately 30/-Rs per person, based on bus type. Really worst management, If first time going really better to understand the situation first, otherwise really they will get struggle. After visiting temple devotees must watch other temples also like sakshi ganapati, hatakeswara devalayam, phaladhara panchadara, ista kameswari alayam, sikareswaram temple, sri bayalu verabadraswamy and many more temples. But local share auto charging 200/-Rs per person to visit these 5 temples, remaining temples are different directions and little far.

We had a nice Pratyaksh Seva abhishekam puja in garvagrih and were blessed to touch the lord. Sri Sailam is a beautiful place and I enjoyed the 5 hrs road journey from Secundrabad. Whenever you plan to visit this place, you must do online Puja booking and also hotel booking. Try to avoid peak summer (May June) as it's too hot and walking on an open stone floor inside the temple with bare feet is quite painful. Only English and Hindi speaking groups have to face communication problems and majority of display boards are in Telugu only.

From Hyderabad you can take a bus for 5-6 hours and you can reach srisailam, the history of this temple, It is significant to the Hindu sects of both Shaivism and Shaktism as this temple is referred to as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva and as one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas, centres of the Hindu Goddess. Shiva is worshiped as Mallikarjuna, and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Bhramaramba.

This is one of the best holy places in Andhra Pradesh where Jyotirlinga and shaktipeeta are there at one location everyone must visit this Temple at least once in a lifetime where we can get the blessings of shivanshakti at the same place we must have 2 days to explore all the places near Srisailam. It took 2 hour for shiv darshan and 1hr for Mata darsanam. Temple is very powerful place. Here in this temple we can touch lord shiva jyotirlinga by availing sparsha darshanam. Temple accommodation can be booked online. Darsan tickets can also be booked online. Annaprasadam also available here. We can have prasadam laddu. Abhishekam tickets can be booked in advance through website inorder to touch lord shiva and do pooja at garbagriha. We must wear traditional dresses like dhoti for men and sarry for ladies.

Way to Tample is through hills so keep enough time to reach at Bhashm Aarti.... Right time to come during rain season or just after rain season.... Tample is so beautiful and calm. Most thing is that phones are not allowed in mandir parisar.
