In this temple, free food is being served everyday for the homeless and needy. Temple has huge space for car and bike parking. The Ayyappan Kovil is located at Venketesa Colony which occupies a radial distance of half a km from Mahalingapuram arch (from the east - Kovai road) and the Pollachi busstand/market (south). The main deity is lord Ayyappan with the exact look of the lord Ayyappan at Sabarimalai in Kerala. There are sannithies for Kannimoola Ganapathy, Festival moorthies and Subramoniyar. The inner praharam has a corner for Navagrahams (நவகிரகங்கள்) also. At the outer praharam there is another temple for Manjal Amman. (மஞ்சள் அம்மன்). There are Ramar, Ashta Laksmy (அஷ்ட லட்சுமிகள்), Panchamukha vinayakar, (பஞ்சமுக விநாயகர்), Kasi Viswanathar, Visalakshi Amman, Dakshinamoorthy, Hanuman etc. Maasani Amman is worshipped placing a photo on the wall behind Manjal Amman. Eradication of Sanidosham is the main achievement a devotee can attain. Saturdays are important. Pankuni Uthram is very special. On all days, annathanam is held here for limited number of devotees. As the temple is located away from the main road, parking near the temple is possible without much difficulty.
