Definitely stop by if it’s your first time in Chinatown - one of my faves from here was the mongo pastry with salted egg. The buchi was also great. Not the best classic hopia in town but still good! The tikoy products all had a bit of a weird fake vanilla flavor to them tho

Well known purveyor of chinoy pastries including flaky black monggo hopia, chiffoney mamon, brioche like ube ensaymada, freshly baked savory and sweet filled buns etc. Tried the mung bean paste hopia with black coffee and was not disappointed. Tip-Eng Bee Tin, another chinese-filipino bakery along Ongpin, has long queues for its varieties of chinoy baked delights. Try Salazar which is less busy but equally delightful.

So many options of cake slices and bread. They have egg pies. Although, would love more diversity on their hopia and other breads when it comes to less sugar options.

One of the most well-known and recommended bakeries in Binondo. Just a couple of steps away from the "Welcome to Manila China Town" signage. They offer a variety of freshly baked goods such as bread, cakes, hopia (which has a lot of flavors to choose from), and many more! You cannot help but be amazed and crave what the bakery has to offer. Their products are affordable from PHP 25.00 and above. Expect long queues on both regular days and holidays. Good thing that we went here early in the morning on a weekday but we have seen how people come to fill up the place and go with their purchases. We bought a lot of products during our visit. My grandfather is fond of hopia which is why he bought a lot, while I grabbed some cake slices (chiffon and marble cakes are the best!), some pies and rolls (you should try their pork and pickles roll, I swear!). We also bought tikoy and butchi that tasted good as well. Don't forget to add this to your itinerary if you are planning to visit Binondo!

Our colleague brought us here coz this place sells the best tikoy according to her. They also sell a lot of chinese deli and doesn’t have a long queue. It’s quite far from Binondo church though.

👍👍 If you’re in Binondo and ready for a hopia haul, then this huge Eng Bee Tin branch must be on your list. It’s organized and well lit. On the first floor are the hopia shelves, and on the second level is the deli.

👍 I love their breads and pastries! A cute pastry restaurant serving rice meals and merienda meals. Adequate sitting capacity. Good service of staff. The food is ok but not that appetizing. Perfect for small meetings. Still I have reason to comeback. Road side parking only.

😠 No consideration for customers. They will make you wait in line outside their shop for 30 minutes to pick up a cake that has already been paid for. Owner was very rude as well.

👍👍 The place is nostalgic of the good old days of handmade hopia really meant something to its clientele. I suggest their monggo hopia which is different but none the less tasty.
