Great place off the main road. Quiet and comfortable. Monty and his wife are engaging people who have great stories and talk enough to make you feel welcomed without smothering you. Mia is the star of the show. She greets everyone with a gentle approach. The sunsets are great but the best thing of all is how quiet it is, with a black night sky lite up with glittering diamond like stars scattered around the clouds. Stay here. You’ll enjoy it.

We are locals and lunch at Monty's frequently. Right along the river made for a quiet relaxing lunch. The food is really good; Monty and Jenny are always impeccable hosts. The place to lunch or dinner when in the Pundaquit area.

Monty and his wife saved us! After arriving too late for the last boat to a island hopping beach resort we'd booked, we had nowhere to go with nine people (kids and adults). Quick internet search and Monty's Resort popped up with just a few kilometers down the road. The dirt road was a bit concerning but as we pulled up to the lush grass parking and saw the view of the river and compound what a relief! We rented two rooms that were super clean and wonderfully air conditioned with all the amenities. The kids went swimming in the pool, I went straight to the bar and chatted up two US marines that booked for a month. All had dinner off the menu. Kudos to the chef! Fantastic food. I had a a T-bone steak dinner that was heaven and Monty says he fly's in from the US. Best of all was the beautiful sunset while enjoying a cold beer! Best memory in the two months I stayed in PH. Can't say enough. Thanks Monty!

We picked up the place from Google on our road trip from Manila. Very peaceful and quiet place. Sitting right next to the river bank place has it's own charm. Perfect place to spend time with your loved ones. Relax & chill. Owner and family are hands on in making the guests welcome. You feel you are visiting friends. They have mostly deluxe rooms good for 2 but also a family room sleeps 6. All amenities available in the rooms if you plan a staycation.

Monty's Resort is awesome! Me and my family stayed there the rooms are very clean the AC works very good and the rooms are very reasonable to rent. The food is great and also very reasonable price. Me and my family will be going back again for sure!!!!

Been there for drinks and light dinner fish and chips. Restful on the eyes and mind. Just sitting and admiring the river landscape is most enjoyable.

We travel a lot around the Philippines, mostly the pics you see on the internet are the perfect wide angled pics that make the rooms and facilitys looking bigger and nicer than in reality. Here at Montys Riverside view resort the pics are actualy realistic, what you see is what you actualy wil get.Big and clean rooms, nice view, quiet and peaceful, good food, friendly staf, nice facilities. The resort is run by the owners themself and this makes a whole lot of diference. From now on this is our favorite place to stay when we are in Zambales.

5/5 Amazing food and drinks with a beautiful river view. When we all got hot, we took a dip and his gorgeous in-ground pool, just to be surprised when his peacocks came out in the yard to feed! Absolutely phenomenal food, a must see when visiting the area!

Good food ready for service and comfortable layout, Hands down best service and Drama free environment compared to local area resorts with the same amenities.

Everyday noise really gets to me and I have found myself an oasis at Monty's Resort!! I also love to eat and I found fantastic foods selections. If your like me go there and enjoy the experience.

If you value intelligent conversation in a nature oriented, family friendly setting then Monty's is the place for you. We stayed in a deluxe room and extended an extra day because it was just so comfortable. Unlike most provincial resorts, the rooms at Monty's are configured to international standard. Everything from the shower to the mattress to the high speed internet matched the comforts of home. But there are some things that money can't buy, like the friends we met at the bar each night. The owner and staff were the best hosts we could ask for on our maiden voyage to the area. They made sure to introduce us to the regular daily visitors and instantly we felt like locals. The mountain view and serene river set the mood perfectly from dinner until laat call for beer. And on the topic of food, the Reuben sandwiches are a must try. Monty's has the comfort of a hotel, the coolness of a hostel, with a natural backdrop that's better than camping. The next time we're in the area there's no question we're staying there.

Monty's Riverside View Resort is a hidden gem in Zambales. It is one of the best overall resorts we have stayed at in the Philippines. It has everything you could want, great location, nice rooms, small size, personal service wonderful food. It is the prefect place to get away and relax. Close to the beach, right on the Pundacquit River, it is a very quite private location. Great views of the river and the country side. At night you look up and see 1000's of stars. A nice pool with bar and wonderful food. Great wildlife, watching the birds fly by at dusk, the night sky is filled with thousands of stars, here, clean fresh air, even a dog mascot Mia to greet the guests. Yes they are dog friendly here. Several Peacocks also call Monty's Resort home. All with very reasonable pricing. It is a total win. Our group was four couples and everyone said they would return again. Highly recommend a stay at Monty's Riverside View Resort.

This place is amazing you just sit by the river and relax while the subtle waters course there way back to the ocean bringing you wonderful tranquility and then there is the food the food is amazing i had the spaghetti bolognese so authentic italian and the calamari wonderful in a tempura batter i recommend this place to everybody we will go there over and over again the owner marty and his wife are just wonderful people they're very welcoming i recommend this place to everybody
