Dr Arvind is a very humble doctor. He is gifted. I was diagnosed with bula 2 months back and i had to undergo a surgery. The whole process was nicely explained to me before undergoing the surgery. Medanta is the best hospital for anyone to get treated for. It has great health care facilities and you are assured with great care of your patient. My father had a lung surgery 4 days back, and today he is getting discharged. Dr. Arvind Kumar undertook the surgery, with his team and group of other doctors- Dr. Harshvardhan, Dr. Mohan pulle venkatesh, Dr. Manan, Dr. Sukhram. The surgery went great and successfull and my father is now fine. He is walking and doing exercises prescribed by doctors from post Surgery day-1 and is recovering well. Dr. Arvind Kumar and team everyday monitored him well and due to this, his condition is now well. Nursing staff is awesome and they devote all their time in patient's time at hospital. My mother was diagnosed with tumour in her right lung. One of the doctors (based in my home town, Gorakhpur) said it is cancer and detailed us the consequences and what not. We were stressed and exhausted with so much running around. I got a referral of Dr. Arvind Kumar and we immediately came to Medanta Medicity Gurgaon to consult him with latest reports including biopsy and PET Scan reports. He was talking to a few media persons while I entered his cabin with my mother. Just by listening to the way he was addressing the air pollution issue in Delhi NCR I could make out that I was sitting with a brilliant mind. He advised incision of the tumour and we took admission immediately. Before the surgery we were advised on various critical points; both pre and post surgery. Even Pre surgery preparations were very effectively handled by the doctors. Dr. Sukhram was consulting us very effectively throughout. Dr Deepika and Doc Neha were extremely helpful. A day before the surgery I was told that tumour looks like outside the lung, however; we would know only during the surgery. It was such a relief. I was expecting a long surgery of 6 to 7 hours. Within 3 hours of the surgery I got a call from the OT that the mass (tumour) has been removed, lung is absolutely safe and patient is stable. The mass was huge 17cm x 10 cm, weighing over 1 KG. It was a miraculous news for me and my family. I was filled with extreme joy and tears while sharing this great news with my family and friends. Within 24 hours my mother was out of ICU also and post surgery exercises and recovery processes began. Multiple hours were invested by various doctors, support staff and senior nursing staff during the post surgery process. 7 days after the surgery my mother was fit and was discharged with all the formalities smoothly undertaken. During the entire stay at the hospital we were treated with utmost care and respect and we loved every part of this huge process.
