Old and rare artefacts in museum. But no maintenance and museum in poor condition. Govt agency ASI doesn't seem to care. However a must see for tourist to see old rich culture.

Chappan Mahal Museum is inside the 16th Century building named Chhappan Mahal Chhapan Mahal was the tomb of an unidentified noble. In 1899, this tomb was renovated by king of Dhar. The tomb now called as Chhappan (56) since then. In 1989 the king of Dhar donated this building for museum. Exactly 100 years later in 1999 a museum was inaugurated here. Today it houses sculptures recovered from nearby areas. A nearby room has exhibits depicting the rural life of the area.

It's a kind of museum with ancient stone art work. One section displays tribal life. It's an I'll maintained place, labels are either gone or illegible. No spot lights on statues, Archeological department doing nothing to maintain this place. Must visit.

It is owned by Archeology survey of India. If you like visiting such places then good spot to visit. Not for people who love to take selfie

A must visit place at Mandu if you a genuine history geek as the place exhibits many sculptures from the past and origin of Mandu city. The exhibits also include a small tribal museum but the main attraction are the exhibits belonging to parmara dynasty era. Also there is a beautiful shesashayi sculpture exhibited in a small water pool.

Located behind Jama Masjid, build in Marble and tomb of Ruler Hoshang Shah. Renovation work going on. Behind it you can find saray ( guest house ) of that time. Very quite and peaceful place. You can enjoy beauty of ancient workers and architect. Please find attached image to check what place to see at Mandu. Historic place in MP hides thousands of questions and history inside it. *Entry ticket is must

Lovely Small museum in the main and only structure and village life depicted in the hall adjacent to to it. Just beware of some local guides (men) sitting around demanding for a "fee" for photography - this is a lie. Just resist with confidence and they shoo away. Photography/videography everywhere, including inside the museum is free. No presence of any uniformed security personnel.

The city of Mandu is located in the present day  Dhar district situated in the Malwa region of the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.  Mandu was a key fort at least 1,500 years ago and is also the home of the famous Jahaz Mahal.
