The oldest mosque in the city. There is a tomb of Haci bayram next to the mosque. Ruins dating back over 2000 years are also situated within the main square. The platform on which the who area is built provides excellent views of the city and the Ankara Castle.

Ulus is typically known to be a more dangerous area of Ankara so definitely be aware of your surroundings. I was approached by a few children begging for money near the hacibayram mosque and when I gave a few lyras, a whole swarm of children surrounded me and kept following me to give them more money. At one point, I had to speeded up my walk as they tugged my shirt and bag. So definitely be careful in the area. Ankara isn’t used to tourists so there will be a few curious faces when they see a foreigner and some will even offer you food out of kindness, just politely decline as much as possible because you never know the intentions of people and they might’ve poisoned it. Other than that, the area was beautiful to see because of the Rocky Mountains and the Ankara castle from afar (you can walk to that too!)

One of the oldest mosques in Ankara, very interesting historical site , includes many ancient monuments from the Roman back 2100 years ago. You can also find some traditional shops of handcraft products . This place enjoys an excellent overview of Ankara city

Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque is a mosque in Ankara. Along with Kocatepe Mosque it is one of the best known mosques in Ankara. Hacı Bayram Mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire period. It was named after the Turkish Sufi and poet Hacı Bayram-ı Veli on behalf of the latter. Hacı Bayram Mosque is one of the touristic places of Ankara.[1] The site was added in 2016 to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Turkey.

Came to visit this mosque and spend the day out with the family on this Sunday. The kids enjoyed the day and had a lot of fun. We were able to pray and get something to eat. All in all it was quality time and spiritual experience. We were able to come by car and it has free of charge underground parking.

Haci Bayram Mosque is the most spiritual place in Ankara. The mosque and the neighbourhood are beautiful inside and outside, day and night. It is very historical. The propery is very clear. Thanks to the restoration it has a fresh look and live all the time. In summer times, you can listen to music next to small pools... Ablution facilities are also very good. Just it can be better using paper towel.

Nice visit if you are into calligraphy and architecture . Augustus built a temple here which they are excavating. Next to it is the mosque. Interesting mix of two cultures

An area of great interest. The ancient Roman temple anointing this mosque is outstanding in its history and importance. The mosque itself is rather lovely too. The area surrounding this piece of history is beautiful and rich in restaurants and shops with souvenirs and religious artifacts.

Large and beautiful old mosque, yet felt very modern with escalators and plenty of space. Wudu/WC facilities are free but no paper towels. Roman ruins onsite and an amazing view of the city

Historical mosque from the 15th century. It has been built right next to the ruins of the Temple of Augustus which is also an interesting place to visit. The mosque has a simple interior design. Nothing glamorous but quite peaceful and serene inside. Good place for meditation and prayers.

This place is perfect for religious destination. The area was in open space as well. But be careful of the shops around, most of them are overpriced.

a historical and monumental mosque which has The cenotaph of "Haji Bayram Wali" inside. Surprisingly this mosque's garden area also has another cultural religious place "Augustus Temple" inside as well. Dont miss it! Haji Bayram was a Turkish holy poet, a Sufi, and the founder of the Bayrami Sufi order. He also composed a number of hymns. He has lived between 1352 -1430. He was affected by another Sufi Somuncu Baba who is the reason of his name BAYRAM because of their met on a holy day. His real name was Numan. He was included in tasawwuf lessons in Kayseri by Sheikhs Alaaddin and Hamid Hamidüddin. Sultan Murad wanted him to be in Edirne and desired to test his thoughts about Islam. Sultan was really inspired and believed that he is a safe, real Islamic Sufî who will be a hodja of Aksemseddin the sheikh of Sultan Mehmet the Istanbul Conqueror sooner.
