The hotel was located in a very noisy area. The rooms are OK, Clean but Heating and Ventilation was poor. When you heat the room it takes a lot of time for the room to stabilize. Room Service was good. But there was no Iron in the room. You have to ask to reception to send. Windows needs maintenance. It is very difficult to close the window tightly. Breakfast was very good. The crew is very friendly and helpful. Elevators are poorly operating. You wait a lot of time if there is a group of people arrives. Parking lot was ok but the roads were very narrow within the parking lot. You have to make at least 2 maneuvers to turn the corner. In general price/performance is good.

UPDATED AFTER ONE YEAR LONG STAY: living outside your house for working purposes, could become lonely and unsettling, but, in our case, after all these months, we felt blessed for calling Grand Mercure, “Our Home” when in Turkey. Everything starts at the front door, where Mr. Gorkem, Mr. Mertcan and Mr. Oktay would welcome us guests with their friendly smile and politeness. Specially Mr. Gorken who always welcome us with a sincere “Welcome Back”. Continuing to our suite review, again, we would like to highlight Ms. Gul’s endless kindness and expertise with not only cleaning and maintaining the room impeccable and working flawlessly, but her personal daily touches to make us feel cherished and loved. Also daily, we would like to point out Mr. Sinan, bringing to our door, not only water, but also easy smiles, excellent communication and friendly approach. The Breakfast is also amazing, with its continental buffet style loaded with fresh and delicious fruits and treats carefully prepared everyday. But again, even with all this, I would like to highlight mostly the bright smiles that welcome us every single morning. Starting with flawless supervision of the kind and cheerful Mr. Ibrahim greeting us by the door, to Ms. Gamze serving our dishes with a great care and making sure everything is running smooth and also the two expert Chefs Ms. Dilara and Ms. Münüfe that deliver amazing Omelets, “A La Carte” Poached eggs, Eggs Benedict and even fresh Sashimis to die for. The hardest test here is to keep our diet under control with all these delicacies. More than ever, despite how comfortable, beautiful and very well kept are all the installations, including our suite, what sincerely, at least for us, makes the whole difference here is the kindness, the empathy and the care of their employees and we both have no words to express our gratitude. They really go beyond to make our staying memorable, comfortable and relaxing. And we are convinced that it must comes as a result of the amazing, friendly and deeply emphatic management of Mr. Murat and Mr. Onur. EDITED: We are living here for a little less than a month and could not go without writing our first 5 stars review as we are extremely happy and feeling cherished by every single one of the staff. From the friendly, assertive and helpful reception, to the impeccable cleaning service provided by Ms. Gül. From the daily cheerful smile from Mr. Murat that replaces our waters and provides us daily coffee, to the helpful and super educated waiters team, leaded by mr. Ibrahim, nominally mr. Emre, mr.Tugba and mr. Sadik. And how not to love the awesome and breathtaking food gifted to us by the head chef from breakfast (Ms. Seutap - she does the most amazing poached eggs) to the delicious food delivered by the Kitchen A La Carte chef mr. Ramazen and the absolutely breathtaking creations from the Main Kitchen Head Chef Mr. Dogus. It’s definitely a hotel to stay and enjoy your time while you are in Ankara and we would easily recommend to all as it’s our home away from home. Thanks a lot to all the professionals involved that made us feel so special and loved.

Anadolu Downtown Hotel is a very comfortable hotel located just outside the centre of Ankara in an area crowded of new tall buildings, restaurants and department stores. Rooms are large with amazing view and equipped with both amenities and appliances (I had a coffee machine in my room, not a "Mister Coffee" teapot, a real automatic espresso machine!). Bathroom is large too, cleaning is high standard. At breakfast you will find a great selection of food and beverages. For transportation, taxis are readily available at affordable rates (average ride in the city us 25-30 Turkish lira, about 6 euro). Strongly advisable.

Very bad service. The staff didn’t care about there guests. They gave me a smoking room and the day at my check out the put my stuff outside my room an hour before checkout time. Very bad service

A luxury 5 star hotel with all the facilities you need. Good staff, tidy rooms, spa, resturant, indoor swimming pool and much more. Recommended.

elegant hotel, clean, good breakfast menu

Elevator access is controlled by room key. So it provides extra safety. It's located next to a shopping mall with beautiful architecture and walkways. We have eaten both our breakfast and dinner in the hotel's restaurant. The food is ok. But, the service and atmosphere are excellent. Our overall stay in this hotel was a very nice experience.

Very good and elegant Hotel. Room are cleaned and comfortable. Restaurant is delicious. Service is good and quickly. Food during the conference was not so rich and special. Entrance and conference area are old style, to be modernised.

The hotel room smelled like smoke even though we asked for a non smoking room. The elevators are just stupid slow pnce we had to wait 17 minutes to get one. The buffet is bad. I dont even know how this hotel is a 5 star. Beds are bad.

There is live music every night from 21:00 till 01:00 (neighbourhood) if you want to sleep properly this hotel might not be for you. Hotel itself is pretty decent. The cleaning staff does not speak English but is very helpfull and if anything is needed you can call reception. Took me 2 calls to get an extra blanket. But they are trying to help . All in all would not stay again because of the live music which is heard in the area.

Not bad, but no connection rooms for families

The worst hotel that I have stayed ever! Room door locks were not worked properly, I could not opened my own door, everytime I waited for techinicians, they did not come in time. I changed my room at the end and it was same for the other rooms. At last i waited half an hour in front of the door. Horrible!

A teribble hotel! Stuff is very goofy, key card is a problem, carpark is a problem, even problems in brrakfast. Customer portfolio is realy weird, in the evenings around 30-40 man hanging out in the loby. Rooms are realy noisy and not clean.

Location was perfect. A large shopping mall with a street, full of nice restaurants, is nearby. Breakfast was sorted and good. Gym centre was nice. The room was spacious and clean. Turkish coffee machine in the room was great idea for its lovers. Staff needs to be more friendly, especially at the reception.

The room was modern and spacious as we had the junior suite. Reception team are very kind and helpful. The cleaners and room service is not good if you cannot speak Turkish, they were supposed to replace towels and bathrobes with new ones, they took all of the towels and water and coffee capsules and never returned/replaced, we notified the reception 3 times during our 9 days stay. Its devastating and worrying (we were forced to hide bathrobes and big towels so cleaners won’t take them. After all, this was the best hotel in Ankara with good prices.

Great Service, perfect room and a really nice wellness area. The breakfast is also perfect. I already stayed there a couple of times now and it was always a great experience. PS: There are a couple of nice bars/restaurants in walking distance to the hotel.

Hotel well located with nice rooms. However got disappointed with some lack of services: - no room service no snacks in the room when arrived even if they were on the menu no coffee capsules even if the machine is available - no gym Food at the à la carte restaurant was ok

There is a horrible noise outside the hotel, I couldn't sleep !!! I don't believe I will come back here again

Great architecture. I've not stayed to there yet. Maybe in the winter.
