We have been traveling in Turkey for two months now, and always stay in economic hotels, and this one surprised us with its excellent service, good location, and a very good breakfast. Tayfun, who worked at the counter spoke good English, we had a good chat, and he received us with a big smile and excellent service. We highly suggest the owner of the hotel to give him a raise, because any other hotel who hire him will bring more business :) The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom could be cleaner, but at this price we would not ask too much. The breakfast was really good, there were lots of choices and it was the best we ever had in all our stays. The location is also really convenient, you can easily walked to the old city in 5-10 minutes. If we ever go back to Ankara, we would choose this hotel again.

The rooms were exellent clean and super comfy witha great staff and a delicious breakfast in a very stratigic place i had a really good time there and i am certainly going back .

Spor Hotel is excellent value for money and the level of customer service was really unexpected. We were looking for a low-key, no frills, safe and reliable hotel for a couple of nights and this was perfect. Before check-in the manager, Kemal Bey, messaged to welcome us and give directions. They offered tea and coffee on check-in and communicated regularly to make sure we were happy. We were in Ankara for an important interview and I forgot to print out some necessary papers, so their reception printed things out for me at 7am. They also ordered us a taxi which arrived in (no joke) one minute. We had an issue at an outside restaurant one night regarding pricing and I messaged Kemal for assistance. He was so kind and helpful, and helped to resolve the situation. I really wasn't expecting the attentiveness and level of friendliness from all the staff members, and if I come to Ankara again I would definitely stay here. -The rooms are tidy and soap/a hair dryer/slippers/minifridge are provided. -Sheets and towels are clean. -Breakfast had a good amount of variety and is conveniently open from 7-11am. I would recommend getting there before 9:30am to make sure everything is still available. -The WiFi was WAY better than I was expecting. I work online and had no issues with connectivity or speed. -The location is convenient and it's easy to get anywhere in Ankara from the hotel. I have a sensitive nose and sometimes there was a slight cigarette smell inside the room, but considering how common smoking is on the street it didn't surprise me and wasn't a big issue.
