Lived
here
for
just
under
a
year
and
to
say
the
experience
was
miserable
is
an
understatement.
Upon
move-in,
we
discovered
that
the
previous
tenant
had
caused
significant
damage
to
the
apartment,
and
it
seemed
that
no
one
had
done
a
walk-through
after
(or
did
and
didn't
care).
The
master
bedroom
door
was
broken
and
wouldn't
close,
there
was
a
cracked
window,
the
shower
doors
wouldn't
close
and
the
handle
was
broken,
many
of
the
soft-close
kitchen
drawers
were
broken,
the
floors
were
deeply
scratched,
the
closet
doors
were
broken,
the
shower
head
escutcheon
was
not
attached,
and
there
were
various
other
small
issues.
We
immediately
contacted
Tyler,
who
assured
us
that
he
would
make
it
a
priority
to
fix
all
of
the
issues,
and
that
the
master
bedroom
door
had
already
been
ordered.
A
week
later
we
found
out
the
door
had
never
been
ordered
and
it
ended
up
taking
3
months
to
get
a
functioning
bedroom
door.
It
took
over
6
months
for
everything
else
to
be
fixed.
Also,
the
maintenance
crew
and
management
would
never
let
us
know
when
they
were
coming,
despite
us
repeatedly
asking
them
to
because
my
partner
works
nights
and
sleeps
during
the
day.
We
even
spoke
with
Beztak
corporate
and
made
this
clear
to
them
as
well.
Not
even
two
days
after
that
conversation,
3
maintenance
crew
members
entered
my
apartment
and
entered
the
bedroom
where
my
partner
was
sleeping,
startling
her
awake.
When
she
questioned
them
about
it,
they
said
the
manager
had
spoken
to
me
even
though
I
was
at
work
when
this
happened
and
hadn't
spoken
to
anybody.
The
cherry
on
top
of
all
of
this
is
that
the
maintenance
team
would
constantly
mark
the
work
orders
I
submitted
through
the
online
portal
as
"complete"
even
when
they
weren't,
so
nobody
knew
what
still
needed
to
be
fixed
and
what
didn't.
When
I
spoke
to
someone
about
this,
they
apologized
and
told
me
to
resubmit
the
open
work
orders,
which
I
did,
and
they
marked
them
complete
again
2
hours
later
without
fixing
anything.
Additionally,
a
few
weeks
after
moving
in,
construction
began
around
the
complex
where
they
proceeded
to
rip
up
nearly
all
of
the
sidewalks.
We
were
never
notified
of
this
prior
to
it
beginning,
and
again,
this
was
a
massive
inconvenience
to
my
partner
who
sleeps
during
the
day.
We
specifically
sought
out
a
quiet
place
to
live
for
that
reason
and
we
certainly
didn't
get
it
here.
It
also
took
over
6
months
of
us
living
there
for
all
of
the
smart
home
features
we
were
promised
(smart
thermostat
and
keyless
entry)
to
fully
work.
We
were
never
offered
compensation
for
the
broken
items,
construction
noise,
lack
of
promised
smart
home
features,
incompetent
management,
or
any
of
the
other
things
that
made
living
at
Uptown
Ann
Arbor
a
nightmare.
It's
no
coincidence
that
the
most
recent
reviews
are
all
negative,
pretty
much
all
of
my
neighbors
were
fed
up
with
them
by
the
time
we
moved
out
as
well.
So
happy
to
be
out
of
there.
EDIT:
Just
to
address
their
generic
response:
the
regional
manager,
Hailee,
was
fully
aware
of
all
of
these
issues
the
whole
time.
Even
with
her
involvement,
nothing
was
done
correctly
or
in
a
timely
manner.
